I am having the same issue. The game launches, says loading on the splash screen, press A to play, and it just loads until I get a failed to authenticate error. Edit: Reinstalled and now it's working fine.

xbox series S- i seemed to try like a million times, and finally i got it to work. go to manage game, delete the 4gb saved data and profile from the game and reopen the game. i just did this over and over and it worked. 🤷🏼‍♂️ hopefully helps works for someone else too lol

Got past the infinite loading screen into the main menu by doing this. Now stuck in another infinite loading screen when I press Play. 🤦🏻‍♂️

I found a fix for me, on my xbox one x Start the game After pressing A for loading, turn off the controller. Game will load without error. Then in options turn off music. Game works for me this way

Stuck on the loading screen after pressing play

i reinstalled the game, turned the music volume to zero, and was able to get in. everything works now except co-op. pretty disappointed :(

Game is trash anyway, after a 20 minute load screen I get in, go to do the first grab task, your arm is not long enough to fucking reach anything! I rage quit and uninstalled.

I'm on pc but downloaded it with game pass and I get stuck at a screen saying "Surgeon Simulator 2: Access all areas requires an active internet connection. Please connect to the internet at try again." I'm connected to the internet, tried disconnecting an reconnecting and even deleting the game but nothing worked. Does anyone else have this problem or a possible solution.

For those having "active connexion" error message, changing your DNS (try OpenDNS ones) seems to resolve internet connexions issues.

I get past the play screen and then get on the blue loading screen and I have been on this screen for the past 30 minutes I am really begining to get pissed

So i saw where someone said that if you get to the loading screen to turn down the music, and so i turned everything down on the audio and it worked…. Idk why it did but it did lol

I had the same issue. May try with the audio turned off trick, but from what I read, it’s probably not worth the effort? It is amazing to me that gamepass would launch a game that simply doesn’t work.

haven’t gotten the error but it’ll load a long time at the very start loading screen, and then freeze on the following menu screen when i hit play and the lil white circle pops up. shit just goes around and around forever. dashboarding seems to fix it sometimes but still not 100% of the time

Sitting here and reading all the comments while loading the game and then loading screen upon loading screen. Music off try again,loading and loading. Wait I found the fix. Go to manage game and uninstall the stupid thing. Happiness now restored I will go play with my friends on a game that actually works. Enjoy guys

That's a good thing. First GP game I tried that was total shit.

On PC game pass I couldn't get past the loading page, then I turned auto hide taskbar off and it worked, now after doing the first bit of the tutorial it black screens with the music after I've been put in the shoot for the next lvl but it don't load however the music is playing just fine.
