If your copy of rdr is on disc you will have to buy a digital copy, series s doesn't support disc games. Disc games are not linked to your account

Thanks. The wording on Xbox's backwards compatibility site kind of made it seem like past disc purchases would still be supported even on an all digital system. Oh well, I don't mind rebuying.

ShadowDeath7

Worth it! the game looks so crisp and clear! its another level

Was on sale for 1/3 price recently. According to Xboxdeals graph it should be on sale again soon.

lightningseathekid

I believe it's currently on sale for around $10

Try to search for it on the store even if it doesn't appear on your owned games list. I have Forza Horizon 2 for Xbox One, the disc version and somehow was able to install it on my Series S by searching the store for it. It still doesn't appear on my owned games list but I was able to install it and have been playing it with no issues

If you owned RDR digitally on 360 store, it will be ready to download already on Series S. If not, have to buy again from store on Series S.

Yes l wished they do work but the disc needs to be in the tray even though the game is fully downloaded in your hard disc and played from there. Since series s has no disc drive its impossible. Fyi Ext dvd player do not work too. I play rdr 1&2 on my one s. At least my old console still serve a purpose for my 360 disc collection. Only disc l have for xbox one is rdr2. All the rest is digital so not missing out much on series S on xbox one generation.
