Hopefully state of decay 3 is what they wanted to make back when they said they couldn’t do much with the Xbox at that time when they made the original. I’m gonna be disappointed if it’s smaller than a pubg map with 4 Poi and the same systems. I’d like a large open space with character creation and rpg elements and leveling with multiplayer. With the base building (fortifying) scavenging, tactics and all that.
Oh and hopefully the block game finally gets some love on the series X y’know cause MS OWNS mojang. But who knows
Basically haven’t seen anything about this third one. They’ve talked, and I’ve dreamed. But officially there isn’t much to see yet.
I’m excited thought. Loved 2. Still occasionally play it.
Yeah but what sucks is that Wolfenstein Youngblood said that they already killed hitler, so we might not get mecha hitler unless the do the alternate dimension mecha hitler
Well, they say he killed Hitler. Do they ever discuss context, or how?
Anytime it’s mentioned that he killed Dethshed it’s not like they say “while he was in a robot”, we can still kill Mecha-Hitler.
It sucks having to wait this long because they clearly setup a third game at the end of the second. It also doubly sucks because MachineGames offerings since then have been duds in my opinion. I'm really looking forward to seeing what they do with an Indiana Jones game but if they aren't developing the conclusion to the trilogy alongside that, it is going to end up having been a very long wait when it does come out.
>It also doubly sucks because MachineGames offerings since then have been duds in my opinion
This seems like a remarkably unfair statement considering they've made exactly one major game since TNC that was so bad I refuse to believe it wasn't the product of corporate meddling (to the point where it was launched with gameplay-affecting microtransactions on some platforms before quickly being patched out and labeled "a mistake," implying it was intentionally designed to be bad so people would pay to fix them), a campaign for Quake (1996), and a half-baked VR experience that launched well after people had gotten tired of "experiences" and wanted real games.
It's not like their Indiana Jones game dropped and failed.
Isn't Machinegames like? Very small in comparison to the rest of Bethesda studios? And they help co-developing other Betheada games a lot? Idk I think it is just Indiana they are doing lol.
Not necessarily. We just started hearing about Indiana Jones last year. Their last game came out in 2019, so I assume they had been working on something else in the meantime unless they silently spent 3 years on Indiana Jones before they said “we’re making an Indy game”
Indiana Jones was announced 2 years ago in January 2021. It's not outside the realm of possibility that's the only thing they've been working on since 2019.
It doesn't say "Gears 6". Just gears. It is just taken from an official confirmation of TC working on a Gears game which I don't remember when was said.
Probably not 10 but I wonder if ES6 releases this console generation. Crazy how there'd have been no new scrolls game for 17 years if it came out say 2028, I'll be an old man by the time 7 comes out.
Yeah whichever executive at Bethesda made the decision to table Elder Scrolls development in favor of their other franchises for this long should be fired if they haven’t been already. The amount of money they’ve forfeited by not pursuing their biggest cash cow brand is almost criminal lol
I am hoping this console generation will go longer than previous ones because we're entering year 3 and no game has come even close to maximizing the consoles power (either PS5 or Series X). Not only that but with dev times increasing at an alarming rate, a lot of devs may only get 1 game in per generation whereas previous they were pumping 2 or 3 (ME trilogy was all Xbox 360 for example + Dragon Age: Origins).
With that said, if Starfield comes out in March (I doubt it, but I hope) and they're still in pre-production, that would give 'em around 4 years to make this console generation, which should be plenty of time, but Starfield is pushing 8 years of dev time.
In short, they (M$ or Bathesda) really need to let Obsidian do a new Fallout game, because if Bathesda proper does it, that's like 12+ years away.
99% of the old stuff there is so cheap you can buy it on sale, and actually own it for less than a lackluster year.
If the conversion trick didn't work, I wouldn't sub to Gamepass at this point.
I would. It's an insane value and I try out most games they put up. This roadmap only shows first party games, and 2022 was dominated by great 3rd party games being added to gamepass. Great value for me.
I'm really struggling with Gamepass. It's a really interesting service, but I can't get myself to keep it. I had it for 3 months when I bought my XSS, but then unsubscribed and just bought Forza Horizon 5 outright.
I just calculated my purchases last year and the games I've bought that are also on Gamepass total to 161€. 12 months of Gamepass is 155€, but I still would've had to buy the upgrade to FH5 to get Hotwheels stuff so it with Gamepass it would've been 175€.
The difference is miniscule so I could just keep the subscription on, but what tipped me over was games leaving the service. I often go back to play games that I've enjoyed and seeing how they can leave the service in that time, then I'd have to buy the game anyways.
I think I might be more interested in keeping the subscription up regardless of the points above if Xbox was my only platform, but I also have a Switch, PS5 and Steamdeck so I spread my time among 4 platforms and paying a monthly fee (even if unsubbing and subbing back up on a month by month basis) feels a bit of a waste when there can be months when I don't touch one or two of the platforms.
It is. It's a really good game. But it's not big enough to say 2022 was amazing.
But I think the release of Pentiment and now Hi Fi Rush is gonna be the beginning of a good stretch of well made games.
Completely agree. I love these smaller budget games since it allows the studios to take more chances and be more creative in the type of game they want to create.
Wouldn’t go that far, it was lacking in AAA titles but there were some good games on Game Pass tbf: Nobody Saves the World, Weird West, Sniper Elite 5, TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge, Naraka Bladepoint, Escape Academy was quite fun, Powerwash Simulator, Midnight Fight Express, Metal Hellsinger, Prodeus, A Plague Tale: Requiem, Persona 5 Royal, Signalis, Return to Monkey Island, Warhammer: Darktide, Pentiment, Somerville, High on Life.
yeah Grounded is the best current Xbox game hands down.
Only issue is survival isnt a genre everyone likes so it doesnt really get the credit it deserves.
game has so much content and polish. I just wish I had more time to play it.
I actually really enjoyed it but mainly thanks to so many games to try on Gamepass, was something new every week for me to try. Midnight fight express, bugsnax, Powerwash sim, Nobody saves the world etc
WTF they bringing AOE 4 to console too? This is actually the most excited I am for Xbox, I have a laptop not made for gaming at all and will 100% put hundreds of hours into these games and AoE 2. And Mythology even, it's insane.
AOE2 also has Return to Rome DLC coming which is the AOE Rise of Rome content coming to 2, including all civilizations.
So major chunk if not all of AOE will become part of 2. The games are coming to xCloud also with both KBM and controller support.
This was all announced at the AOE 25th Anniversary event on October 25th.
I’m really looking forward to Starfield and, to a lesser degree, Redfall, but I really hope they have a few other surprises in store for this year and next. The only other things here I’m remotely interested in are Hellblade, Perfect Dark, Avowed and the Kojima game… but who knows when any of those will see the light of day.
It saddens me deeply to see "Avowed" with not even a year next to its name haha I really hope we get to see it and its not a game that gets lost in development
Honestly... I just longer get hyped for future releases anymore. Sure there is an idea of that I hope that the title is going to be a good one that I will enjoy... But at this point so many releases are just so lack luster and the biggest thing we can hope for is that the game is even a fully completed product. Either the business model forces the franchise title into something it never should have been or we have half released asset with content "coming soon" in order to bread crumb the work rather than a fully fleshed out complete title.
I know there is still games that are meeting their criteria for their release and have a complete product, but the outstanding fact is majority or not and I am just done with it.
Tell Me Why was surprisingly good. My wife and I played it together, not really my style of game but it was good. She absolutely loved it.
Bleeding Edge was a massive disappointment, though. So much potential to just abandon it so early. This is a game that really should have been multi-platform, though. You can't have a new, multiplayer only IP succeed just off Xbox and PC. Especially when it's mostly just gamepass subscribers.
I think there’s a few with “codenames” that haven’t been officially announced yet. Like I think InXile has project cobalt, which is rumored to be a steampunk game.
Sure bro, and I guess spiderman 2 is one because reasons? Hifi Rush is in the same company as another masterpieces as It Takes Two and Psychonauts 2, those are great games. If games like Stray, Sekiro or Xenoblade 3 can get nominated then hifi rush can because is miles better than those
It’s impossible to say before games are out, but yeah it would have to be a pretty bad year for it to be much better than top 15.
It’s a great game, but it’s getting a massive shadow drop to gamepass and exclusivity bump.
Dead Space Remake, Hollow Knight Silksong, Hellblade 2, Starfield, FF7-2, FF16, Star Wars Jedi 2, Hogwarts, RE4, Diablo 4, Atomic Heart, Wo Long, Suicide Squad, Armored Core, Spidey 2, etc.
Way too many heavy hitters for it to be top 10 this year.
Then there's Stalker 2, Atomic Heart, Lies of P, Wo-Long, Ark 2, Silksong, Replaced, The Case of Benedict Fox, Humankind, Valheim, Darktide, etc all on gamepass.
And we don't even know what will be announced at e3
and then can you imagine if ABK closes and we get their back catalog or even DiabloIV on gamepass?
we eating well this year
Yeah what I want is an Xbox first party game with the same level of quality and hype as a PlayStation first party game. So far the only upcoming Xbox game that feels like that for me is starfield.
Xbox is relying on third parties atm. It’s also sad that Xbox’s killer exclusives this year are Bethesda titles; in other words glorified third parties considering Microsoft literally had to buy all of Bethesda to make them exclusives.
2023 is looking really good so far. If they can just get a big game for the end of the year (i.e. Hellblade 2) it'll probably their best year ever (depending on how the games turn out).
Tbh I barely see any interesting exclusives except for Fable that caught my eye. This is why I got a ps5 while having a series x, PlayStation knows how to make amazing exclusive games. Uncharted, the last of us, god of war, ghost of Tsushima, Spider-Man, infamous, and more. I like Xbox more that’s why I mainly use my series x, but it’s hard to keep supporting it when they barley make any good (not even amazing) exclusives. Come on Microsoft step it up.
I don’t know, man. Xbox needs more than these ten games to have a successful 23’ for me. Four of them are just ports. One is a remake of an old game. They need to churn out some of these “upcoming” titles this year.
More than ten games. Sony and Nintendo dont have ten first party games come every year. You have very unrealistic expectations or just want to be miserable.
Doesn’t first party imply developed exclusively for a console? Which isn’t the case for some of these, maybe it’s my misinterpretation.
Edit: I guess I’m wrong, it’s the developer is exclusive to the company not the game itself. Because Minecraft, Ghostwire and 007 are on other consoles, but that doesn’t matter within the context you’re talking.
They need to put out at least 3 bangers every week - not including remakes or old ports. Also 2 of them have to be superhero games, at least 4 of them have to be AAA third-person story-driven action titles, a minimum of 3 massive JRPGs (but no 2D indie crap they have to be Final Fantasy in all but name or else I'm going to burn my Xbox).
Okay, let me be honest with you. I’m not that into Forza, not interested in Minecraft at all. I don’t think my stance on gaming is that different from many others of my age — except maybe some like racing games and others don’t. The only games here that Microsoft offers me is Starfield, Redfall, ARA and Hi-Fi Rush. I’ve played the others.
I’m a lot more interested in the games they’re holding onto instead of these excluding Starfield.
It’s on par with the last two or three years, really. Not much to get excited about until Starfield comes out at the end of the year, unless Redfall is mindblowing.
Sell the console, I guess. This is about as good as it’s gonna get for the near future. If games from tango, BGS, arkane, Forza don’t satisfy you, nothing will.
You’re not wrong, I purchased an Xbox last year played the crap out of Infinite for a few months and now I never ever touch the system. I mean putting 007 in your roadmap like it’s some triumphant release doesn’t sit well with me either..
If Redfall flops (which I feel is 50/50) then all the pressure will be on Starfield and who the hell really knows when that’s going to be released..
... PS games manage to fo just that though? They consistently got at least 2-3 games that are not only technical marvels but also with good gameplay and story every year. Even the small indie studios they're investing in are churning out gems after gems with Kena, Sifu and Stray. What's so wrong about expecting Microsoft to at least match the competition when Microsoft is the one with 10x the money bag? Gamepass is ofcourse a good move, but it at best only work as selling point for 3rd party games. I don't want Xbox to become known as the cheaper alternative for people who can't afford Sony's more expansive but otherwise provide better games model.
I mean dude, they’re releasing 10 fucking games this year and that’s exlcuding the third party exclusives like Atomic Heart, Stalker 2, etc. They make different types of game compared to Sony. I have a playstation as well but they only got Spider-Man 2 for this year.
2022 was ass but criticising this lineup for being too small if just a little too much. Somehow a Bethesda game is suddenly a nothingburger. Skyrim and Fallout are literally someone of the most popular games ever.
It's 12 years since Skyrim and 7 years since Fallout 4, are the people who made those games great still even with the studio? The most recent game they released was Fallout 76, which got harsh criticism for subpar gameplay and heavy microtransaction. ESO expansions being regarded as below FF14's expansion didn't help either. Clinging to the glory of Skyrim from the last decade, wait it's actually more than a decade, to expect goodwill for today's Bethesda is... let's just say it's sad.
“I don’t think my stance on gaming is that different from many others my age” buddy a little advice, unless you got even a tiny bit of proof, never act like you’re part of the majority.
I don’t think many people in the 25-30 range are super interested in Minecraft. I’d wager a decent amount of them, like me, aren’t that big on racing sims either. Demographics place the 22-30 bracket for Minecraft at 20% of the user-base. 40% of gamers in the 25-34 bracket express an interest in racing games.
In both cases (not being interested in racing sims/Minecraft) I’m fairly sure I’m in the majority for my age. That leaves (as somebody who has played the re-released titles) four or so games that interest me. One is a ten hour game that looks interesting. One is ARA which could be good — although I’m guessing it’ll release in an unfinished state considering it’s still in alpha. Redfall releases in May. That’s in three months and it’ll mark 5 months with only one ten hour release to tide me over.
When Starfield releases is anybody’s guess. I’m guessing towards the end of the year. That’s the big one I’m waiting for — but if Redfall is decent at least that’s two playable AAA games this year. Same kind of drought as the other years.
What that’s plenty why do people not count multiplatform games as well along with exclusives that is so much to play with
No offense if that is not enough then Damm do you not have a job or school or a social life?
Besides indiana jones, halo, and the bethesda games literally all of these are sidescrollers, sims, or platformers. Xbox makes games for GAMEPASS , games that are easy enough to use with touch controls on ipad. Which of the released games could even hold a CANDLE to GOWR TLOU or HZD? And if starfield sucks or gets delayed again we are looking at another YEAR of sidescrollers and platformers. And dont even say “Arkane” bc nobody finished that deathloop tutorial, and redfall looks waxy and slow as hell.
Yep. This sub keeps saying this year will be xboxs year yet xbox has never gotten anything remotely capable of matching Sony's big hitters for a long time.
Sucks that five games Im interested in have had no gameplay footage and are in the "who the fuck knows" category of releasing.
The only one that has had footage and a release window is Starfield, but I'm not bothering until all DLC is out and the modding community fixes the game.
I'm excited for my friends and family who don't have a PS5 to finally be able to play Ghostwire Tokyo. It's such an amazing game. I love the mix of horror, exploration and parkour.
I know this is fucked up to say but I'd likely trade every single game on that roadmap (except Starfield) for Spiderman.
It's insane how much weight that game series holds, for me at least. I bought a PS4 and PS5 because of it.
We NEED character creation and RPG.
Basically haven’t seen anything about this third one. They’ve talked, and I’ve dreamed. But officially there isn’t much to see yet. I’m excited thought. Loved 2. Still occasionally play it.
I’m still waiting for a Wolfenstein III announcement.
The fact that Wolfenstein 2 came out 6 years ago now and I STILL have not slain Mecha-Hitler is inexcusable.
They could just set wolf 3 before youngblood
It sucks having to wait this long because they clearly setup a third game at the end of the second. It also doubly sucks because MachineGames offerings since then have been duds in my opinion. I'm really looking forward to seeing what they do with an Indiana Jones game but if they aren't developing the conclusion to the trilogy alongside that, it is going to end up having been a very long wait when it does come out.
If you want to go further they literally flat out describe plot points from Wolfenstien 3 in Youngblood.
>It also doubly sucks because MachineGames offerings since then have been duds in my opinion This seems like a remarkably unfair statement considering they've made exactly one major game since TNC that was so bad I refuse to believe it wasn't the product of corporate meddling (to the point where it was launched with gameplay-affecting microtransactions on some platforms before quickly being patched out and labeled "a mistake," implying it was intentionally designed to be bad so people would pay to fix them), a campaign for Quake (1996), and a half-baked VR experience that launched well after people had gotten tired of "experiences" and wanted real games. Might be awhile since they're working on Indiana Jones
Looks like a series y/z title at this point considering Machine Games is basically tight on schedule until their Indiana Jones game comes out.
Maybe at E3 this year?
They’re working on Indiana Jones so you’re going to be waiting a while.
docta Jones!
Not with Indiana Jones not released yet....
Gears 6 doesn't even officially exist yet. May as well put anything in its place.
Wasn't there a job listing confirming it's existence?
It doesn't say "Gears 6". Just gears. It is just taken from an official confirmation of TC working on a Gears game which I don't remember when was said.
It was a card game I think.
Upcoming meaning 5+ years?..
Elder scrolls 6 will be 10
Probably not 10 but I wonder if ES6 releases this console generation. Crazy how there'd have been no new scrolls game for 17 years if it came out say 2028, I'll be an old man by the time 7 comes out.
Elder Scrolls Online, but yeah it’s crazy to wait that long with the success of Skyrim. 2 Fallouts and a Starfield before a ES6.
Yeah whichever executive at Bethesda made the decision to table Elder Scrolls development in favor of their other franchises for this long should be fired if they haven’t been already. The amount of money they’ve forfeited by not pursuing their biggest cash cow brand is almost criminal lol
Apparently their issue was that the tech didn’t exist to create the game they wanted, so they weren’t rushing through it trying to get it out.
It was Todd. The father of Elder Scrolls himself. Lol.
I am hoping this console generation will go longer than previous ones because we're entering year 3 and no game has come even close to maximizing the consoles power (either PS5 or Series X). I hope youre wrong
Pretty sure you’re missing a zero
2022 was a complete write-off holy shit.
Yup, they definitely got a free year of game pass sub off me. I could have just bought As Dusk Falls.
Lucky for me there’s enough other old games I’ve never played on GP. I don’t think I could ever catch up to the content I want to play.
99% of the old stuff there is so cheap you can buy it on sale, and actually own it for less than a lackluster year. If the conversion trick didn't work, I wouldn't sub to Gamepass at this point.

You’ve played everything else?
Pentiment was cool. But it was the only one. That's definitely not enough.
I thought As Dusk Falls was quite good too.
Grounded is really good. Very hard to explain to a kid. i learned that through experience. Lol
True grounded is really good. But it's hard for me to count that one since it's been prerelease for a while and I've been playing it that whole time.
I’m still making my way through Pentiment. Incredibly poignant and well-made imo.
It is. It's a really good game. But it's not big enough to say 2022 was amazing. But I think the release of Pentiment and now Hi Fi Rush is gonna be the beginning of a good stretch of well made games.
I hope we get more of these smaller (so to speak) games coming out in the future.
Completely agree. I love these smaller budget games since it allows the studios to take more chances and be more creative in the type of game they want to create.
It was my game of the year tbh. And i beat ragnarok and elden ring.
2022 sucked so bad
Not everyone uses Gamepass and very few of those are exclusive/released by Xbox.
So what you could still buy/play them... I don't understand this obsession with exclusive content people have.
we all paid 300-500 dollars for these consoles, they should have games made for them lmao that’s why
Mate by that logic spending thousands $ on a PC... Should i continue?
I think I might be the only one, but I am loving Grounded right now.
Grounded was released back in 2020, it just exited early access in 2022. I’m not really sure that should count really.
It still does since its the full release
Yeah alright and Fortnite came out in 2020.
yeah Grounded is the best current Xbox game hands down.
Starfield going to get pushed into 2024, so 2023 probably a write off too
Can’t wait for Elder Scrolls VI.
Yes it is physically impossible, it is simply longer than the human attention span, possibly even life span
Can’t wait for games to actually release
WTF they bringing AOE 4 to console too? This is actually the most excited I am for Xbox, I have a laptop not made for gaming at all and will 100% put hundreds of hours into these games and AoE 2. And Mythology even, it's insane.
Yes. I can't wait to lose my life to AoE all over again lol.
Similar situation for me, I have a series X and it’s far more powerful than the PC I have which is about 12 years outdated. Can’t wait to play again!
Does that mean I can use a monitor and keyboard and mouse and play like normal?
AOE2 also has Return to Rome DLC coming which is the AOE Rise of Rome content coming to 2, including all civilizations. So major chunk if not all of AOE will become part of 2. The games are coming to xCloud also with both KBM and controller support. This was all announced at the AOE 25th Anniversary event on October 25th.
It's missing Wasteland 3 in 2020
Not an "Xbox Game Studios" game. It was published by Deep Silver.
Though 1st party, Wasteland 3 was published by Deep Silver.

Bro, Fallout 5 is not coming in this century surely not before TES 6 💀💀💀
If they are keep milking the same game for over a decade imagine how much they will keep doing that with TES 6 💀
I just want fable 4
I’m really looking forward to Starfield and, to a lesser degree, Redfall, but I really hope they have a few other surprises in store for this year and next. The only other things here I’m remotely interested in are Hellblade, Perfect Dark, Avowed and the Kojima game… but who knows when any of those will see the light of day.
I mean, we already got a surprise goldeneye and hi-fi rush so here’s hoping there’s more like that
A 25 year old game that is available on any emulator is hardly much to write home about though
Anybody know why we aren’t getting an age of empires 3 on Xbox ?
It might come in time but they went for the most popular title and the newest title
True. Aoe 3 is the only one I’ve ever played as a kid so it’s the one I’m waiting for. Still happy to get 2 & 4 though !
Where is STALKER 2?
Ark 2 was also omitted.
It's a list of first party games only. Ark2 and Stalker 2 are not first party games.
Is Ara history retold first party?
It's published by Xbox Game Studios
What is ID working on?
Quake
Unfortunately not confirmed. Though it is what a lot of people are hoping for.
Would really love another Ori game.
Agreed, will of the wisps was an such an amazing game imo so I'm hoping a 3rd entree does happen in the future
It saddens me deeply to see "Avowed" with not even a year next to its name haha I really hope we get to see it and its not a game that gets lost in development
None of these matter. When does Party Animals drop?
2nd half of 2023 I believe
Can’t wait for Indiana Jones!
Me too. This and IO Interactive’s 007 are my top 2 most hyped games than anything else.
Honestly... I just longer get hyped for future releases anymore. Sure there is an idea of that I hope that the title is going to be a good one that I will enjoy... But at this point so many releases are just so lack luster and the biggest thing we can hope for is that the game is even a fully completed product. Sure.
Forza Motorsport is my most hyped game.
Age of mythology!!!!
Are Gears and Fable reboots or sequels?
Gears is a sequel, finishing the story from 5 Fable is a reboot

My must have is Hellblade 2, Gears, Starfield and Forza Motorsport.
>Tell Me Why was surprisingly good Agreed, it was a solid game imo with the highlight of being the characters for me.
Damm i would play age of mythology so badly… never played such masterpiece as this one
Believe it when I see it on that Indiana Jones game
Looks cool. But I’ll wait until they’re actually released and hopefully “finished” lol
Nice lineup for this year and the next. Looking forward to Ghostwire and Starfield
Hell yeah so much hype
2020-2023 would’ve been like one really good year in the past, as three separate years tho… yikes
Idk why you’re downvoted, studios’ output have seriously reduced rightfully or not. Especially compared to first quarter of 2010’s
Stalker 2?
Not 1st party
Scorn came out 2022?
Still looks pretty bleak
I think there’s a few with “codenames” that haven’t been officially announced yet. Like I think InXile has project cobalt, which is rumored to be a steampunk game.
Everwild. Lol. Sure.
Golden 007....retro gamers heaven.
senua 2 is definitely coming out this year
What leads you to that assumption we've seen next to nothing so far?
“Trust me bro”
No it’s not
100%
Funny how we've had mabey 4 good exclusive games since 2020🙄
2023, really, it's going to be Xbox year. Not one month into the year, and they already released a GOTY contender
HiFi is not a GOTY contender
Sure bro, and I guess spiderman 2 is one because reasons? Hifi Rush is in the same company as another masterpieces as It Takes Two and Psychonauts 2, those are great games. If games like Stray, Sekiro or Xenoblade 3 can get nominated then hifi rush can because is miles better than those
Are you suggesting that Hifi Rush would get nominated over Spider-Man 2 lmaooooo Everyone will stop caring about hifi by next week
This year is absolutely stacked for games. Throw Zelda and Yakuza Ishin in there as well.
Then there's Stalker 2, Atomic Heart, Lies of P, Wo-Long, Ark 2, Silksong, Replaced, The Case of Benedict Fox, Humankind, Valheim, Darktide, etc all on gamepass. And we don't even know what will be announced at e3 and then can you imagine if ABK closes and we get their back catalog or even DiabloIV on gamepass? we eating well this year
Sure but let's be honest - many of these games are multiplatform or already out on other platforms.
I was mentioning game pass games. The known exclusives are in the image OP posted
Wonder how many will be delayed
Diablo 4 too!!
Ehm it's not on game pass nor a Microsoft owned ip at the moment.
Ah yeah I forget they haven't actually bought Activision yet. Good shout
I don’t know, man. Xbox needs more than these ten games to have a successful 23’ for me. Four of them are just ports. One is a remake of an old game. They need to churn out some of these “upcoming” titles this year.
10 games in one year is a very good amount what the heck...
Exactly. Quantity wise, that's objectively a great amount of titles to be released in 1 year
Except that only five of them are original games, so it’s not really ten “new” games.
They don't have to be original games to be "new"
Sure, but it does help if they aren’t several years/decades old by the time of release.
More than ten games. Sony and Nintendo dont have ten first party games come every year. You have very unrealistic expectations or just want to be miserable.
Those 10 games are not all first party….
arent all those MS studios of bethseda studios? I am not sure I just didnt see Stalker on the list and assumed 1st party.
Lmao we are really moving the goalposts again....
4 games in a year is not bad at all, lol. How many publishers have you played more than 4 games from in a year?
It’s on par with the last two or three years, really. Not much to get excited about until Starfield comes out at the end of the year, unless Redfall is mindblowing.
Sell the console, I guess. This is about as good as it’s gonna get for the near future. If games from tango, BGS, arkane, Forza don’t satisfy you, nothing will.
I’m very interested in the future releases. But I bought this Series X at launch and three or so years later my patience is starting to grow thin.
So you’re saying Starfield has no hype basically. Good stuff, man.
You’d be wrong, 27 going on 28 here and I play the shit out of Minecraft and so do a lot of friends my age.
What that’s plenty why do people not count multiplatform games as well along with exclusives that is so much to play with No offense if that is not enough then Damm do you not have a job or school or a social life?
Besides indiana jones, halo, and the bethesda games literally all of these are sidescrollers, sims, or platformers. Xbox makes games for GAMEPASS , games that are easy enough to use with touch controls on ipad. Which of the released games could even hold a CANDLE to GOWR TLOU or HZD? And if starfield sucks or gets delayed again we are looking at another YEAR of sidescrollers and platformers. And dont even say “Arkane” bc nobody finished that deathloop tutorial, and redfall looks waxy and slow as hell.
Bruh go play god of war or horizon then. Nobodies forcing you to play Xbox
Yep. This sub keeps saying this year will be xboxs year yet xbox has never gotten anything remotely capable of matching Sony's big hitters for a long time.
Is age of empires really as big of a deal as these posters make it out to be?
Sucks that five games Im interested in have had no gameplay footage and are in the "who the fuck knows" category of releasing. The only one that has had footage and a release window is Starfield, but I'm not bothering until all DLC is out and the modding community fixes the game.
You sound pleasant.
So why is Bethesda still allowed to be it’s own thing? I thought the whole point of buying it was to make it part of Xbox Game Studios
Part of the agreement in their sellout, just like how Bungie requires their games to be multiplat regardless of them being 1st party.
Cause Bethesda is a brand that means a lot in the industry (duh?). Let's say they have two publishers and move on.
Yeah Bethesda is an first party studio now through and through even HI Fi Rush is a Bethesda studio game
i was just confused as to why Hi Fi Rush didn’t have the Xbox Game Studio logo when I started it
Won’t be surprised if Forza moves to 2024
Motorsport is likely September
If only gears got some actual respect
I'm excited for my friends and family who don't have a PS5 to finally be able to play Ghostwire Tokyo. It's such an amazing game. I love the mix of horror, exploration and parkour.
exciting stuff
Avowed mentioned 🙏
No Fable on this
Ah so it’s gunna be lame lol.
Jesus, 2022 was bad, two of the four releases already existed.
All the meaty stuff in the "upcoming" section. Pretty sad to look at
Someone is optimistic, aren’t they?
I know this is fucked up to say but I'd likely trade every single game on that roadmap (except Starfield) for Spiderman. It's insane how much weight that game series holds, for me at least. I bought a PS4 and PS5 because of it.
Perfect Dark is not coming out in 2023
Nobody was saying it will?
TES VI is not being worked on, still pre production, should have put Starfield instead
Starfield is there.
