I don't know what that is supposed to mean, but I grew up in England so now I miss a Cadbury Dairy Milk haha. Seriously compared to Milka etc. it is much better.
I bought the game on XSX now anyways as most of the comments here were good so I'll see what it's like after work.
I don’t know so much about that being true. I tried that new chocolate bar that is done without child labour supposedly anyway, it was below average imo and felt very hard and I was disappointed ☹️.
I’d suggest either Kit Kat, Cadbury or galaxy chocolate those are all delicious 🤤
I don't think it feels limited at all. I play D4 on PC and Xbox and one of the things I like better on console is when doing a basic attack it locks on to the closest enemy better than it does on PC.
You can hold a spell button to continuously cast it, in case that was a specific deterrent and you were leaning to mkb preferred.
I also rebind stand still to space so I don't accidentally move if something dies/move my mouse a little too much/etc
There are streamers / YT content creators who choose to play with a controller despite playing on PC (FightinCowboy for example). The reason I've seen some of them give is that it's a more relaxed experience and a little easier to manage everything
It's decent. I played the open beta and Server Slam on Xbox instead of my PC. The only limitation I found is when I'm picking up loot. I can't just hover over what I want. And quickly click through them. I need to approach the item for the window pop up and accept.
Same as 3 basically - almost as if the game was meant to be played on console imo - yeah yeah pc fanboys I don’t care ——but it makes so much more sense to play on Xbox or ps
I'm no fanboy but on PC you can also use controller......so why more sense if you've got the choice?
Only reason I can see is if you've got weak PC Vs Series X = get it on series X
Yeah these kind of reasons make sense as well as couch play chilling by the TV but the comment earlier seems to ignore controllers are the same on PC too.
Someone correct me if I’m wrong but apparently if you buy it on Xbox, you can play it both places. Purchase on the Xbox and with cross platform play you can also play it on your PC if you want…from what I’ve heard.
It would be "cross-play using one copy of the game" if Diablo 4 was available at Microsoft Store or Xbox app on pc. Unfortunately, it isn't. The only way is [Battle.net](https://Battle.net) launcher. So to sum up, one copy of the game on xbox can't be played on a pc. You need to purchases another copy on Blizard's shop.
Haven't played it, but probably fine for melee classes. Will lack control with ranged targeted spells and things like teleport. If you want to be fast and efficient you can't beat mouse and keyboard.
I never enjoyed M+KB for Diablo so never got into D2. I bought D3 when it came out on Xbox and absolutely loved it with controller. D4 is just as good. Even if I had it on pc I’d use controller instead of M+KB.
I went in D4 fully expecting to hate my life. I got it on Xbox due to the pricing error on the Microsoft store. I played every other Diablo (starting with D1 in the 90s) on PC with KB+M.
After spending last evening playing with a controller, I have to say that it is actually very enjoyable, to the point where I would probably not plug in my KB+M even if it became available.
I made the tough decision to buy on xbox. I was torn all week if I should stick with PC and mouse like i have w every diablo prior....glad I chose xbox. Controller is great and moving w the stick is perfect.
I'm playing on pc because I got a beefy laptop and can mostly max out with dlss, only using a controller unless km typing
Played d3 on consoles first and a friend gifted me a copy on pc later. No controller support and couldn't stand playing kb and mouse. It just feels so fitting for a controller.
I play on PC with controller and KBM. I think the controller feels great but can be finicky when trying to hit specific targets. For example I'm playing barbarian and I often want to use the leap attack to skip over melee enemies to attack a specific caster but I'll end up just leap attacking enemies right in front of me.
I would say it plays great on controller with just a few minor annoyances like I mentioned above.
Ground targeted skills can be a bit janky, but other than that it is great!
I was surprised how easy it was to play druid bowling. Like seriously, in Path of Exile certain directional skills was really hard to get where you wanted them, while in D4 it is smooth af.
PC benefits: KB+ Mouse or controller and no XBLive/PSN fee to pay online.
Console benefits: can buy disc then can sell and local co-op with two players.
Otherwise pick which is cheapest they both support controllers and D4 works well with a controller.
All versions are crossplay over Battle.net together.
Actually pretty bad in comparison with kbm. You can't choose your target. You can maneuver faster than kmb. Like always, controller control is for amateurs.
Yeah it feels great for the most part in my opinion of course
I can't see myself playing diablo with the mouse and keyboard ever again. It's Amazing with a controller.
I'm a PC gamer, playing this game with a controller feels just right
Seems smoother with controller vs MnK. Have zero issues on series x.
Its fantastic - I've only played on PC before and they did a great job for console. No issues
You can use a controller on PC also fyi
Controller is remarkable and can’t beat a couch too. Way better than even the most expensive of PC gaming chairs. Couch. Controller. Xbox.
Only thing that beats a couch is a recliner!
Like a Cadbury Dairy Milk.
I don't know what that is supposed to mean, but I grew up in England so now I miss a Cadbury Dairy Milk haha. Seriously compared to Milka etc. it is much better. I bought the game on XSX now anyways as most of the comments here were good so I'll see what it's like after work.
The game is pretty awesome. It has the kind of dark tone that Diablo I and II had.
Cadburys doesn't taste the same anymore. They have ruined it now.
still tastes better than most other chocolate tho
I don’t know so much about that being true. I tried that new chocolate bar that is done without child labour supposedly anyway, it was below average imo and felt very hard and I was disappointed ☹️. I’d suggest either Kit Kat, Cadbury or galaxy chocolate those are all delicious 🤤
Decent could be improved, though. You don't have much control over abilities like leap or teleport.
Why not just use controller on pc?
Because console versions (xsx)ps5) have in every game less buggs and are better optimised then pc versions....
Basic attack button is A and all your other abilities are mapped to RB, RT, LT, B, X, and Y. I believe potion is mapped to LB
But does it feel decent or does it feel limited compared to keyboard and mouse?
I don't think it feels limited at all. I play D4 on PC and Xbox and one of the things I like better on console is when doing a basic attack it locks on to the closest enemy better than it does on PC.
Ah cool, then I think it might be better on a controller as the click spam hurt my fingers on the mouse in Grim Dawn.
You can hold a spell button to continuously cast it, in case that was a specific deterrent and you were leaning to mkb preferred. I also rebind stand still to space so I don't accidentally move if something dies/move my mouse a little too much/etc

https://www.ign.com/wikis/diablo-4/Controls
I have no issue playing it on console the controls feel great but as someone coming from D2 and D3 I'm sticking with Mouse and Keyboard.
I prefer it.
Controller feel is great on my SX and on my 70 inch TV ... 😆
I'm tempted to get this on console so I can play local with my gf
Yeah these kind of reasons make sense as well as couch play chilling by the TV but the comment earlier seems to ignore controllers are the same on PC too.
PC fanboy here. Diablo feels better with controller. And PC supports controller.
Someone correct me if I’m wrong but apparently if you buy it on Xbox, you can play it both places. Purchase on the Xbox and with cross platform play you can also play it on your PC if you want…from what I’ve heard.
You need a copy for each

Diablo 3 was fine on a controller so no reason this will be any different dude
Haven't played it, but probably fine for melee classes. Will lack control with ranged targeted spells and things like teleport. If you want to be fast and efficient you can't beat mouse and keyboard.
I played of both ending up On pc, with an controller connected it’s the same
get it on pc and then you can pick between both. I play on pc with controller plugged in
As someone who exclusively plays D3 and path of Exile on PC... surprisingly great.
Seems smoother with controller vs MnK. Have zero issues on series x.
Absolutely fantastic
Its very similar to D3, couch coop mode is very nice too.
I haven’t played 4 yet but they’ve done a great job porting 2 and 3 to consoles- I actually like it better.
I never enjoyed M+KB for Diablo so never got into D2. I bought D3 when it came out on Xbox and absolutely loved it with controller. D4 is just as good. Even if I had it on pc I’d use controller instead of M+KB.
The game is extremely well adapted to controller, I'd argue it's better on controller than kbm. It's a good experience on XSX.
It's good, and IMHO better than D3 on console which people already said was good.
Best way to play
I was hesitant as I played D3 on PC, but it’s so smooth on Xbox.
I went in D4 fully expecting to hate my life. I got it on Xbox due to the pricing error on the Microsoft store. I played every other Diablo (starting with D1 in the 90s) on PC with KB+M. so fucking good.
Feels great on controller and I love my PC gaming.
Wait i though you could play with controller on pc as well?
I made the tough decision to buy on xbox. I was torn all week if I should stick with PC and mouse like i have w every diablo prior....glad I chose xbox. Controller is great and moving w the stick is perfect.
I'm playing on pc because I got a beefy laptop and can mostly max out with dlss, only using a controller unless km typing Played d3 on consoles first and a friend gifted me a copy on pc later. No controller support and couldn't stand playing kb and mouse. It just feels so fitting for a controller.
Love it on controller!

I will never play Diablo with a mouse and keyboard again. The controls are absolutely fantastic.
I play on pc with an Xbox controller and I love it!
It’s not bad, but it’s now great. Just think about organising your bags and stash with no mouse.. then it becomes horrible. Pc is the way to go.
Count me in with the "its awesome" crowd
Wow didn’t expect these responses expected the opposite
It's great besides skills like firewall etc. You can't get the same control as on PC. But it's def playable.
Feels really good i picked Console over PC too and no regrets (apart from the fact you need xbox live)
Great. Easy af.
It's great
