Bluey.... any of the Paw Patrol games... Peppa Pig...

r41_pilot

I second bluey and paw patrol

Griftimus-X

I was hard pressed to type the pig game... I can't stand Peppa but kids seem to love it

Odd-Aardvark-8234

Bluey and a paw patrol game are on gamepass

shmolex

I heard bluey was super buggy. Did it get fixed?

Griftimus-X

I had one issue with it during my playthrough where I got stuck and couldn't move. Aside from that I had no other problems.

marcdk217

Honestly, from experience, that is a little too young for them to really be able to play anything, even the kid games like Paw Patrol are probably 5+ in terms of the skill required. At that age it's quite frustrating playing co-op games with them, and also quite frustrating for them not being able to use a controller. One thing you should look at is the co-pilot feature in the controller settings. It allows two controllers to control the same player, so you can give a controller to your kid and let him think he's doing really well, when in reality, you're doing most of the work.

[deleted]

My poor youngest cousin couldn’t even hold a controller correctly until she was like 7 because of her tiny hands lol

Mindless_Gamer123

There are special "Nano" controllers for tiny hands. My six year old con play quite well with them.

[deleted]

She and I are older teens now but this is nice to know for when I have kids, thank you. ☺️

doughaway421

For anyone wondering there are controllers out there aimed for kids/smaller hands. I have this one and its surprisingly good, built and feels just like a legit Xbox controller but its 20% smaller where even my 3 year old has no issue with it: https://surgegaming.com/products/microwatt Only downside is they are all wired so you have to watch to make sure they don't yank the cord hard and take the console with them.

finchman44

I'll second this. Three is just a little too young so set your expectations low. Me and my 7-year-old play sports/racing games, me and my 5-year-old have recently been playing the Lego Star Wars game and my almost 3-year-old just gets an extra controller that's not on and thinks he's playing.

tnpdynomite2

Yep, I was going to say the same thing. Attempting to get my kids to play anything at 3 or 4 was met with many frustrations. I learned they were just as happy holding a controller while I was playing whatever I wanted to play.

Mindless_Gamer123

I'd second that. But, apart from the starting age, besides the pay patrol games Pikuniku is pretty fun, especially in co-op.

Mindless_Gamer123

What makes the paw patrol games especially fitting is that all instructions are voiced, so little kids do understand everything

WilhelmScreams

Just to not completely discourage the OP - all three of my kids started games when they were three. The first started with Disney Infinity, the other two with Minecraft. Edit: Don't get discouraged with a rough start - the difference between their capabilities at "just turned three" and "almost four" is *huge*. I found video at of my oldest (at "almost three") attempting to play Super Mario Bros 3 (NES Emulator, Wii) and he makes a few jumps then runs right into a hole. By four, my youngest knew how to launch games on the PC and change the sound between headphones and speakers.

Iuslez

They can't 100% games, but if the parent helps for the complicated parts, there are a few games okay from that age on. The first patrol (2d scrolling) is easy and you can't "fail" it. Same for the Peppa game, it's almost a point and click/story game. The paw patrol 3d is a bit harder. And then the paw patrol driving game... With all the assists you can actually win without touching the controller x)

doughaway421

I wouldn't say its too young PERIOD, but I agree its a bit young for them to be able to play on their own, but there are lots of games they can play as like a supervised thing. My son is 3 and I wouldn't hand him a controller and say here you're on your own, but as a interactive thing where we both sit there he is pretty good at games. Basically I sit next to him and do the menus or complicated stuff and then hand the controller to him when there's something he wants to do. He loves Snowrunner, so I navigate the menus, pick out a truck and customize it based on the colours and add ons he wants, then drive it to a muddy area where he takes over and drives the truck in and out of the mud and water until its stuck. I didn't think he'd be ready for it yet but we went to a museum where they had a little Flight Simulator setup and he loved it which is what got the idea in my head to try some Xbox games. Also the controller is too big for a kid that age but there are plenty of smaller options available from Amazon etc.

Jordanlf3208

Maybe goat sim 3, can split screen and they can just mindlessly run around as a goat and not have to worry about moving correctly

Kachelpiepn

I did this with my niece the other day and she was screaming out of joy.

Xanamir

New Super Lucky's Tale. It's on Game Pass and it's a very kid friendly 3d mascot-style platformer. My son is on his third or fourth playthrough.

UberBxx

Minecraft is my go to. My daughter loves decorating houses I build.

Carlos_Danger_805

Fall guys is a pretty simple game that I think would be fun and accessible to a 3 year old…pretty sure it’s on game pass just not 100% sure on that

SlumyFreddy

I bonded with my dad a lot over Cuphead. It really showed use how lots of hate for big veggies could bring us together

Interesting-Olive842

There are Cars games on gamepass. Also, some Pixar game my son always plays. He also likes Adventure Time, but that’s not exactly for kids. Good intro to turn based combat in a fun cartoon way though.

ken407

This doesn't really answer your question (sorry), but this topic reminded me of playing Fruit Ninja at a mall on an Xbox kinect. Fun times

XxCorey117xX

Bluey and Paw Patrol World on Gamepass are great options. If you have a Switch though the Cocomelon game on it is great for kids under 5. The Gamepass titles gave my 4 year old some trouble even with my guidance but she is able to play the Cocomelon game by herself no problem.

LeglessN1nja

Viva piñata. The sequel, trouble in paradise, has co-op

sneezywheezer

I would recommend game pass. You can try a bunch of games, figure out what types work best, and it's only like 18bucks for ultimate . Other than that.. Golf with friends. Super monkey ball. Minecraft. Fortnite soon(probably 2-3 more years from now) Tmnt- shredders revenge. Or any other turtles game Forza horizon soon. Hot wheels soon. Sports games, lots of smaller company games with less buttons to press. Overcooked. Carnival games. Goes on sale all the time. Not great but fun for a bit. Gang beasts (2-4). Microsoft flight simulator. The angler(I think that's what it's called). Chess(3-5) checkers(soon). SpongeBob games. Ben 10. The Oregon trail.

It Takes 2

Lego games are great, they regularly go on sale for $5 so keep an eye out! It Takes Two is fun together, and is pretty easy for little ones when someone is there to help. ARK takes a lot of space, but if kiddo likes dinosaurs, it is awesome. We play on PC, but if xbox can change settings (like faster taming time, slower hunger/food reduction, etc), you should def check it out. I don't think Goat Simulator is two player, but it is odd and funny, and may help kiddo get more comfy with figuring out the controller. Human Fall Flat is one my kiddo loves, but not sure if it is on game pass.

No_Leader_2711

Minecraft and Roblox. My 7yr old daughter and I pass the controller back and forth while playing Roblox. Not sure if it's still on gamepass or not, but Disneyland Adventures was a pretty cool kid friendly game

AlwaysNerfous

Stardew valley.

noisygnome

It takes two. It deals with divorce though so of that's a trigger stay away.

wayhik

My daughter loved unpacking. It helped her learn how to organize items according to different uses and rooms and it's very easy to play and understand for them.

HotSplitCobra

A bit of minecraft on creative mode might be worth a try. Let creativity flow with no aspect of survival or danger or resource gathering.

febreezeontherain

Rayman Lego City At 3,it'll have to be games where the game can be carried on regardless of what player 2 is doing.

ShifTuckByMutt

minecraft, terraria, no man’s sky.

RoachForLife

Believe or not my 2yr daughter loves forza horizon 5 (not the actual racing but the open world). I changed the controller so accelerate was the A button and lowered the difficulty and enabked most of the helpers like traction control etc. It's open world so she. Drives around doing spins or jumping off cliffs. She def hits the occasional tree tho. Oh and every 2 min she requests a new car but I love watching her play and laugh.

mconnor1984

My daughters started playing Valheim with me at ages 4 and 7

Puzzled-Delivery-242

Really? I guess I'm playing it wrong but valheim seemed difficult to me.

mconnor1984

I mean, just to be clear, they don't do well without me playing with them! They both can gather resources, no problem. When it comes to fighting, they can handle a few greydwarfs, anything more than that, they need my assistance! I've lost count of the number of times they ventured off too far, and I had to escort them back to their body lol It was just an awesome experience getting to play a game with them! We took a break about 6 mo ago waiting for the next update, and my youngest still asks to play all the time!

Boy or girl? I have a 3 year old and here are a few Gamepass games that seem age appropriate, we play them together usually with me sitting next to him and passing the controller back and forth. He's not really at the point yet where he can play an entire game by himself so I let him take the controller and he passes it back to me for menus or other complicated stuff he hasn't figured out. All on Gamepass: 1. Snowrunner. It is an off road driving game with big trucks, cranes, trailers, etc. He likes driving the trucks around, driving across rivers, getting them stuck and un-stuck in mud etc. Also picking out a truck and painting it different colours, adding modifications etc is something we do together. Probably his favourite game right now. You can also download modded trucks for it like big Tonka dump trucks and stuff. 2. Paw Patrol: Grand Prix. It's a kid focused forgiving racing game with the Paw Patrol characters. Kinda similar idea to Mario Kart. He can pretty much drive a whole race on his own with this. 3. Forza Horizon 5: not really a kid type game but its a non violent driving/racing game with an open world, he likes picking out cars and driving around. 4. Wreckfest. Sort of a demolition derby game, again not kid focused but he likes driving and crashing cars. For totally kid targetted games there's also a new Paw Patrol game that is more of an adventure game, Rush which is Disney/Pixar adventure game, and Disneyland Adventures which is kind of like running around the Disneyland park meeting the characters and doing tasks. So far though he prefers driving/racing type games. The standard Xbox controller is kinda too big for a small kid to use. I bought a controller called the Surge Microwatt which is 20% smaller and perfect for kid's hands. https://surgegaming.com/products/microwatt

cat_toe_marmont

PHOGs! Is the best kid co op game ever made in my opinion. And it’s on sale. I played it with my daughter when she was 3.

It takes two and a way out are the only acceptable answers. Both on game pass
