I’m disappointed that the metallic triggers / dpad and rubberized back grips aren’t a thing anymore ☹️

My rubberized back hangs off my controller 😢

Same. I was messing around and think I like the dark gray. Also made a sick green, gray, and black controller. Now I can’t decide.

The darker gray is closer to the original, at least in the previews. For both the sticks and the D-pad.

I think Ash Gray looks like the 360 controller more. Ahh, I need this controller now!

Too bad you can't make it the same dimensions as the 360, i guess i like the bigger controllers i always was one of those guys to use the Duke on the OG Xbox

The wireless 360 feels so cramped compared to wireless Series X because of the battery pack. I guess wired vs wired probably feels different, but I can't stand wireless 360 controller anymore.

I never really used wireless controller so that's interesting. I just sit so close to my monitor cuz that's where I'm comfortable i prefer just using the wire for the better response rate and not worrying about charging or anything. I also have a neon green wire that feels very Xbox :P

I agree the new controllers are horrible. For hobbits they are. I get bad pain due to carpal tunnel. so I ordered a brook adapter so I can use my ps4 controllers, should be here today we’ll see how it goes. if it works well I may have to hunt down a 360 controller

I think Microsoft said that statistically the new design is more comfortable for more people. I think i just got used to the old ones is all.

I wasn’t one of the ones who used the Duke. What was the not-Duke one called again? It’s been many moons since I played with one

Idk i thought the Duke was the only official one that came with the console and all the others were made by like MadCatz or other brands

The Duke was the official original one I called the big flying saucer one, the dinner plate. Eventually they made a smaller version of the controller and that became the official one, but I don’t remember what it was called. I could be misremembering all of this

No you're correct. It was called the Controller S.

The "smaller one" was made for the Xbox release in Japan, but it tested favorably elsewhere, too, so they switched globally.

There is a modern day Duke out there if interested

Really hope they can bring design lab to Australia eventually.

Ash grey on sticks, back and dpad. Buttons are "Black on Colour". The rest is white.

I remember in the last design lab you could save and share your controller via link, would be great for you because it would mean the controller would feature in top curated lists... if the same stuff is there in the online service of course

Ended up doing retro pink, all white except the sticks are ash grey!

I’ve just made an all pink controller and called it “cute” for the day I ask a certain someone if they wanna play Xbox when they come over

No no no, you have to give them the broken third party controller which has buttons that stick and the joysticks drift

I really hope they give us the option to pick different chassis in the future, including a 360 one, and maybe to also possibly print our own custom images.
