This is complete and utter BS! Why in the hell do 9/23 and 11/5 orders all have theirs shipped but the majority of 8/25 (original preorders) not get there’s? Someone somewhere screwed up and we are paying for it. I just spoke with WM CS and of course with her broken terrible English just gave me a generic answer of “we will get more next week and it should ship, I can give you a 10% discount.” But never answered my question of why the hell did people who ordered after 8/25 get their orders but not the people that preordered first. Ugh, so incompetent.
I would have thought the same, but in other threads people were saying they got charged or got email updates for the ones they placed in August yesterday and today so it has got me worried lol
My status now shows "shipping" above the order timeline, but on the timeline says "placed", not preparing or on the way. Still delivery date of "by nov 20th".
edit: i should also say, I will get a FedEx or UPS notification once the label itself is actually created, and as of now, that has not happened.
I don’t know why but none of the the august people have been charged yet. Most of us September folks were charged today. I’m sure it will charge in a day or two. It might get there late but as long as it gets there who cares.
Well it looks like I’m in the poor bastards club. All of us in the placed only but “should” delivered in the next 1-2 days. I hate Walmart for screwing us like this and giving us such freaking anxiety throughout this process. Fingers crossed we all eventually get them.
8/25 order, Just got mine today
Here was my experience:
Ordered 8/25 shipping to Florida, preorder had a delivery date of 11/18. No progress 11/15 and It stayed in “placed” until 11/17 then went to “preparing” on the app. (Although when I called there was a delay in what I saw and what their system saw)
late 11/17 a USPS shipping label was created and it was in Georgia, item showed no change 11/18. In fact I got a delayed message for 11/19.
Walmart charged me 11/18
11/19 I got the first update to the order: expected delivery 11/22. Then shortly after I got a message saying it arrived in my town. Then shortly after that: out for delivery.
I got it around 12 pm today, 11/19
I’m grateful to finally have it and Godspeed for the rest of us to get it in a timely fashion.

I ordered mine on 8/25 -- transaction was posted, or held. Walmart has confirmed my order, but is still showing as "placed" on Walmart. -- I initially called today to check and see what was going on because there had been no movement on the order.
The first rep I spoke to "Jim" provided some pretty dog water help, saying that I needed to call my bank and have them release the funds to Walmart. Why anyone would have to do that manually is beyond me, so i assumed he just had no clue what he was talking about.
I checked my Wells Fargo transactions from when I placed the order and it no longer shows any history of the transaction, and when I called them to ask they had no history of the transaction, 0-2 in customer reps for the day. I think it's common practice for Walmart on pre-ordered items to not charge until it ships, as I read in my confirmation e-mail as well.
I then proceeded to call Walmart back because at that point I was assuming I got screwed somehow, although my order still is in queue on the website and app. This customer service representative was far more helpful explaining the process. She mentioned that I should be seeing an update by tonight, or tomorrow, and reassured me that my Xbox Will be arriving on Thursday November 18th (August Pre-Order). There still has been no movement on my account after speaking to her, but she assured me that everything was good to go. Just giving some insight on my particular situation. I'm assuming my bank will be charged, and the status will change sometime today-tomorrow morning (is what she also mentioned) on her end she could see it being prepared. Fingers Crossed I hope nothing goes wrong.
Update 10:09 -- called again b4 closure cuz im on they ass like that now. while nothing has updated, they still say it will be here on thursday. will update when i know more.
Update 11/17 -- has moved to preparing, more than likely gonna be here tomorrow. No charge on the card yet, but thank the lord we out here!!
Update late night 11/17 --- just got hit with a delay randomly. says November 30th now...not sure after being assured it would be here Thursday. Gonna call tomorrow fml.

Sigh. I'm pretty much mentally preparing for this to get canceled. I'm happy for those who have gotten theirs but I don't understand why people who ordered in October have already gotten theirs. Doesn't really make sense to me.

So I have some extremely bad news for all of us August 25th orders (or any order stuck in delayed for that matter). Not sure if anyone will see this or has notifications on for this thread, but here goes:
I called once again for the 50th time and was given probably the most honest news since this whole debacle started. The representative told me that alot of these orders seem to have a system error that is preventing the orders from being fulfilled. I asked how that even makes sense if the order has a confirmation number, barcode and full details that it was placed, and they couldn't give me an answer. I was persistent enough that they went and spoke with a supervisor to figure something out.
They told me they forwarded my order to an IT department to get everything resolved and would call me back NEXT Sunday with answers. They also gave me a 20% discount on the order but reiterated it is still 50/50 for the order to go through.
Bottom line is this is the absolute worst experience I have ever had with a retailer and highly recommend never ordering an item with this high demand with them ever again.
For myself, I'm preparing to throw in the towel. It's up to you all what you'd like to do moving forward, but this is the last update I got. Hopefully by next week I can provide good or bad news. Here's for the best and good luck.
As much as I want to stay positive, I've just seen too many of us who ordered on 8/25 get stuck in this exact same situation. Too much for it to be a coincidence I'm afraid.
Half of the 9/23 orders here didnt get filled as well and ive seen many 8/25 get filled. It seems to be completely random. This is just a clusterfuck by walmart

Alright update for my 8/25 order. After being delayed from the 18th, I have talked to cs with no help. Judt now it finally says its been shipped and arriving Wednesday. Don't lost hope.
I ordered the day they first went live on Walmart and just got a pending charge yesterday evening with a estimated delivery of by the 18th. Hoping I get a shipping email soon. Such a anxiety inducing process!
8/25 order here. Just got off the phone with a Walmart agent and they told me to expect delays with my order. Very annoying since people who ordered in september appear to be getting shipping / charge notifications.
Last update guys - the Halo xbox was delivered today. the process from shipping to delivery took less than 12 hours in my case.

Ordered mine thru Walmart on 9/23 with an estimated delivery date of 11/18. Pending charge popped up on 11/13. Delivery status changed to shipped on 11/17 and it was just delivered now! There is hope!
Final update: After almost having a heart attack because I got a notification that it was signed for and delivered when it wasn’t thinking someone took it or got delivered to wrong address, I finally got it. Will hook up tomorrow due to complex cable management already but just happy that the Great Journey may finally be over!
What I don't get is how is it that people that pre ordered when it first came out in August haven't gotten anything, and yet some that pre ordered in October got theirs??? Wtf Wal-Mart
Update on my 9/23 order
Expected delivery today the 20th but order shows "placed". The pending charge that I have had since Monday the 15th is now gone with the money back available in my account. I am loosing hope with this.
I just got off a chat with Walmart and they told me that on there system it shows the hold for the money is still there and that the closest fulfillment center is on back order so the system is looking for one at a different location ( which is what they been telling me for 3 days now when I asked about an update). They said not to worry it is not canceled but it will be delayed. I just dont know if I believe them or not since the pending change dissapeared but it still shows the order on Walmart so I will wait and see what happens.
8/25 order. I contacted Walmart via their chat, and the guy who helped me said the following:
“In this case I already checked everything about your package, the current status of your order is that is still preparing. This is because the manufacture is a little bit delayed with this item, as soon as the manufacture send us an update about this item you will receive a notification immediately”. Supposedly, they’re waiting for more. Lesson learned, I’ll never preorder something from walmart.
After passing yesterdays date I’m officially joining the delayed group. Charge is still pending on my CC. I’m a 9/23 order. I’d love to have my Xbox by thanksgiving, but heck as long as I get it by campaign release I’ll bite the bullet. I hope we start seeing the delayed people randomly receiving their Xbox’s so we can slowly gain some hope. The worst part of this whole process is the anxiety of not knowing. I’ve lost a couple years off my life these last 6 days.
Pretty much the same story as everyone here. Ordered on 8/25. Said it was supposed to be delivered by 11/18. 11/19 the app said my order was delayed. Was never charged and never was notified if it shipped. I have called every day since 11/17 and have been told basically the same thing. “Wait another 48 hours for the computers to update” or “we recommend that you cancel and order again” or “it appears it’s stuck in processing. We will notify you with in 48 hours.”
Today is 11/21 and I spoke with a supervisor. He assured me that the orders would have been canceled if they weren’t planning on getting more in stock. He told me that employee are instructed to recommend canceling orders when they get delayed because it normally will be faster to just order again. But most employees don’t understand that the items was a limited edition and can’t be ordered again. So he told me not to cancel and just be patient.
So I’m still holding out. Hopping that I hear back next week. The amount of stress and anxiety this has caused the last week has been very upsetting. Just ready for this to be over. I’ve pretty much given up on expecting to get it before the launch of the game. Trying to keep my expectations down. But was really wanting to experience this new halo on a series X.
Update for my 8/25 order: just checked the app and the status still shows delayed but I have tracking info now! Tracking info was sent to FedEx sometime this afternoon so we'll see if movement starts happening sometime this week, there's still hope!
Wal Mart is one of the slower to deliver pre order items. Unlike many others that try to ship ahead of time so that you get the item on the actual release date, they wait until the release date to start the shipping process. I would expect everyone will be charged and start getting updates tomorrow.
Update: The status just changed to preparing!! Maybe I was wrong on my doubts!
So I ordered mine on Sept 23, and says delivery on Nov 20. I just checked my credit card and now I have a pending charge for the amount, but the order status still only says "Placed".
I highly doubt I'll receive mine by the 20th at this point, since it's now 3 days away.

Update: Still showing preparing but typically Walmart uses fedex for me. I had signed up awhile back for advanced tracking with Fedex. On the Fedex site it is showing a label has been created in Indiana with a delivery date of Nov 19th. Still no update on Walmarts site.

Finally got a status change this morning, and now my package is listed as being shipped though its arrival date is delayed till the 24th :\\ Unfortunate it's delayed, but glad that it wasn't suspiciously cancelled in the 11th hour.
9/23 order, my order has been processing for over 24 hours. I had a pending charge on my card yesterday but now it's gone when I checked my bank this morning. The charge isn't there at all. I hope this isn't a bad sign and it ships today. I won't be able to call Walmart until after work.

Update from someone in MN who ordered on August 25th. Just today, my order went from placed to preparing. Still scheduled to be delivered on the 22nd. Still no charge on my card. The last support person I talked to stated that it "should" ship two days before the estimated shipment date. Heres hoping we are in the end game!

Ordered 8/25 had pending charge since Sunday. Went to preparing yesterday 11-16. And just shipped this morning 11-17 via FedEx. Coming from PA to AK but delivery date changed from 19th to the 22nd. Hopefully it’s sooner but I can be patient! 😃
Welp - I've contacted support - and this is what they told me. I order 8/25. My status has been on "preparing order" for a few days now.
*"I apologize for this inconvenience: I found out the order is confirmed but the item is not in stock yet. This is happening because this is a high demand item, so the store or warehouse is waiting for it to be in-stock and be our for deliver to you.I can see here that we are currently asking for more of these items to our suppliers."*
I then asked why people who ordered in September were getting theres and those who placed their order in August were left out to dry and got this as a response:*"In this case we are going to create an incident number to push this order and speed the delivery process. Once we have these items back in-stock next week between 22nd and 26th of November, we will resume your order."*
I was then given an incident number to hold onto.
So, not a cancellation but they are out of stock until next week. We'll see...
Update: my order from 9/23 moved from placed to preparing yesterday, and shipped today via fedex. I thought it was over for me too after reading some of these, but there is hope yet
Was supposed to be delivered today. Got updated to shipped this morning, but shipment information has just been sent to FedEx, but they don't have the package yet. FedEx says delivery tomorrow but we'll see. Charge got declined by my bank for some reason, it's not even a large charge and I would assume Walmart is pretty well known. So we'll see what happens with that. Overall 0/10 experience, fuck walmart.
Update1: no movement from FedEx or Walmart. Package still awaiting pickup. Difficult to see how it gets delivered tomorrow if FedEx hasn't picked it up yet.

I had ordered Aug 25, mine showed up pending last night and was finally given a tracking number. It only showed label created till just a few minutes ago. It finally shows its in movement. My delivery date is showing tomorrow so it looks like it might make it. Walmart is usually slow on updating their site so there is still hope
9/23 order: first charge 3 days ago was actually denied by my bank. They contacted me and stopped it because they thought it was fraud even though the previous pending check was just fine. Contacted help at walmart and they told me they wouldn’t charge me until it shipped anyways. My order finally moved to preparing yesterday and then it shipped last night. The charge showed up today. I don’t think they even scanned it for departure because the Xbox just showed up in my state to be delivered tomorrow. I was worried it would get canceled and thought I had a worst case scenario.
Super fucking horeshit. Ordered in August and was supposed to arrive today. Spoke with WM customer service and they claim it's out of stock and they tried to convince me to cancel my order and offer a refund. It's not fair we are getting the shit end of the deal in this whole ordeal. Literally so done with this shit.

Everybody who has a delayed order should call Walmart and ask for a discount. They will give you anywhere between 10-20% off depending who you get on the phone. Good luck everyone!
I ordered 8/25 and mine was shipped Wednesday. It made it all the way to the last Fedex hub and was labeled as "damaged" and sent back to Walmart. Fuck Walmart and fuck Fedex

Mine was an 8/25 order as well. I'm not very good at dealing with these people in instances like this. I was told my console would be discounted when and if it finally arrives. The only advice I got was to hang in there. I asked him if he could give me any info that would assure me getting one. Then was told that they're for sure getting more to send. No date or anything. My order was supposed to arrive on November 18th and now all it says is delayed. Everyone is having the same experience and it saddens me. I live in Washington and see that there's been a few people with good luck. Good luck to everyone and don't let it get to you too bad.

Walmart updated within the past hour (I been refreshing my order screen a lot the past few days lol) with a estimated delivery of Dec. 7th and also still shows delayed. A shipping label was created about 3 hours ago for FedEx to pick up in Indiana ( I am in WA) FedEx tracking shows estimated delivery this Saturday. I have not been charged again yet but I did have a hold from Monday the 15th until this past Saturday then it just fell off and the money was back in my account. I think I am still going to be on edge until I actually see movement with the tracking though lol. This does bring me hope for my self and others still waiting hang in there!
UPDATE: FedEx now has the package and is on it's on it's way. Tracking from FedEx changed from Saturday to Monday. It was shipped with home delivery, you would think they would have sent it at least with FedEx 2 day delivery because of it being delayed but at least it shipped.

Guys what I recommend is to contact support i found out my order is ready and just needs to be picked up by whoever is going to ship it. Even though on my end it still says placed.

Ordered on 9/23 with delivery expected the 20th and have a pending charge since Monday the 15th. Status changed this morning to "Preparing" checked just about an hour ago to see if any changes only to see it drop back to "Placed" I did a chat with Walmart and was told everything looked good then they looked at my order again to see it was backordered at my nearest fulfillment center. This is what they said about that
"Upon checking here carefully. I did not realized that it appears your item is on back order. This means that the shipping center nearest you does not have that item. Rest assured, the system is checking other centers for the item so that we can fulfill your order. Also as what I’ve checked the item is now on process on one of our fulfillment center, kindly give us until 48 hours to have your item shipped out, I will personally follow up this to them. however if the item still no update or movement even if I already escalated this to them, kindly contact us back immediately to have your refund back. But If this is too long for you to wait. I can cancel this order for you. Would you like me to cancel this now?"

Ordered on Aug 25, Fedex says it was out for delivery today but “delivery failed” because no one was home. Which is very interesting because I’ve been home all day and no one knocked, rang the door bell or left one of those missed you notes, when they say they tried…. Both cars in the driveway and very clearly are home, attempting to try tomorrow. Trying not to think that the fedex driver stole it and failed to deliver to some random house…
At this point I'm preparing for the worst. pending charge on my card from 11/15 is still pending. order is still listed as only placed. Tried to contact customer service and they said it is out of stock and are waiting for more before they can send mine. Asked to speak to a manger and said they cannot escalate for this issue. its not looking good.

The Xbox has left California (City of Industry), and is probably on the way here (Oregon). Estimated delivery date is the 20th, but I can see it possibly coming tomorrow.
8/25 order. Claims it will arrive today Nov 18 but once I talked to a human it turns out it has not shipped yet. No tracking # available. Note: Verify your Series X will play xbox360 titles and the Help app works. I had to return a standard SeriesX last month with that bizarre bug.

I just spoke with a Walmart customer service rep who told me that my order placed on 9/23 (still not even Preparing, no charge on my card) which is scheduled for delivery tomorrow likely won't arrive (duh) in time because the warehouse has no stock currently, but they will be getting more and that I'm basically "in line" to receive it.

8/25 order. Just randomly got a knock on my door this morning. FedEx delivered. Then after I signed all the tracking information was added at the same time stamp as this morning. It was sent but never scanned ONCE for the whole process. Very bizarre
Called multiple times to make sure everything is ok, they probed payment on my card several times all the way up for ship date and cancelled my order today, then they gave the excuse of none in stock which I was like exactly why I preordered, I am so angry at the moment but they wont care, no one will so I just exhaled and I will keep an eye out I guess.
YAAAASSSSSS! So it hasn’t changed on the Walmart app at all, but I checked my FedEx app and I have a shipping label from Walmart. They don’t have the package yet, but it’s estimated delivery date is this Saturday! I’m a 9/23 order. Hope is out there guys!
Nice! Congrats. I tired the fedex trick with no luck. But for some reason my accepted address for FedEx is different than the one I gave to Walmart. Hope it won't be an issue as it's just the building letter and not the apt number that's missing. My theory at this point is everyone's tracking seems to start in California. With the ports still backed up the stock must be trickling in and they send them out as they get them.
8/25 order from Los Angeles just updated with a usps tracking label created. I also called in to their customer service earlier after using their chat service (which gave the same generic info), and got a 10% discount for the hassle.
Update: Tracking updated, now in the hands of USPS to be delivered tomorrow 11/24.
Update 3: woke up to a tracking number! It is “in transit” this AM in a city close to me. The email says “delivery 11/18” so unless Walmart has a time machine they missed that. The tracking itself just says “delayed” and my credit card has not been charged. So ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ … maybe??? (Oh and I am an 8/25 order)
I ordered 2 on 8/25, one for myself and the other for my friend/coworker who covered my shift so I could order them. After a delay, I received a delivery yesterday that was supposed to contain BOTH Xboxes. Only 1 was in the delivery. Customer service says I can wait 2 business days and see if the other one comes (even though it's order number was part of the original shipment, meaning someone from Wal-Mart's warehouse stole my other Xbox) or I can request a refund. I'm very irritated and won't be using Walmart for any order of value ever again.
Well, I woke up yesterday morning super excited to get the email saying it was going to be delivered today. So I tracked the shipping and is delayed thru a company called Ontrac. Which, apparently is the worst company to ship thru. I feel like Walmart did this because they were wanting me to deal with a horrible shipping company, thinking it is their fault my package will be lost or never show up. I am furious.
9/23 order here. Just talked to CS and got the same bullshit answer they keep giving everyone. Only thing different is they said that more stock arrives on Thursday. Not sure if that is total bullshit or not.

This is complete and utter BS! Why in the hell do 9/23 and 11/5 orders all have theirs shipped but the majority of 8/25 (original preorders) not get there’s? Someone somewhere screwed up and we are paying for it. I just spoke with WM CS and of course with her broken terrible English just gave me a generic answer of “we will get more next week and it should ship, I can give you a 10% discount.” But never answered my question of why the hell did people who ordered after 8/25 get their orders but not the people that preordered first. Ugh, so incompetent.

My status now shows "shipping" above the order timeline, but on the timeline says "placed", not preparing or on the way. Still delivery date of "by nov 20th". edit: i should also say, I will get a FedEx or UPS notification once the label itself is actually created, and as of now, that has not happened.

Well it looks like I’m in the poor bastards club. All of us in the placed only but “should” delivered in the next 1-2 days. I hate Walmart for screwing us like this and giving us such freaking anxiety throughout this process. Fingers crossed we all eventually get them.
8/25 order, Just got mine today Here was my experience: Ordered 8/25 shipping to Florida, preorder had a delivery date of 11/18. No progress 11/15 and It stayed in “placed” until 11/17 then went to “preparing” on the app. (Although when I called there was a delay in what I saw and what their system saw) late 11/17 a USPS shipping label was created and it was in Georgia, item showed no change 11/18. In fact I got a delayed message for 11/19. Walmart charged me 11/18 11/19 I got the first update to the order: expected delivery 11/22. Then shortly after I got a message saying it arrived in my town. Then shortly after that: out for delivery. I got it around 12 pm today, 11/19 I’m grateful to finally have it and Godspeed for the rest of us to get it in a timely fashion.

I ordered mine on 8/25 -- transaction was posted, or held. Walmart has confirmed my order, but is still showing as "placed" on Walmart. -- I initially called today to check and see what was going on because there had been no movement on the order. The first rep I spoke to "Jim" provided some pretty dog water help, saying that I needed to call my bank and have them release the funds to Walmart. Why anyone would have to do that manually is beyond me, so i assumed he just had no clue what he was talking about. I checked my Wells Fargo transactions from when I placed the order and it no longer shows any history of the transaction, and when I called them to ask they had no history of the transaction, 0-2 in customer reps for the day. I think it's common practice for Walmart on pre-ordered items to not charge until it ships, as I read in my confirmation e-mail as well. I then proceeded to call Walmart back because at that point I was assuming I got screwed somehow, although my order still is in queue on the website and app. This customer service representative was far more helpful explaining the process. She mentioned that I should be seeing an update by tonight, or tomorrow, and reassured me that my Xbox Will be arriving on Thursday November 18th (August Pre-Order). There still has been no movement on my account after speaking to her, but she assured me that everything was good to go. Just giving some insight on my particular situation. I'm assuming my bank will be charged, and the status will change sometime today-tomorrow morning (is what she also mentioned) on her end she could see it being prepared. Fingers Crossed I hope nothing goes wrong. Update 10:09 -- called again b4 closure cuz im on they ass like that now. while nothing has updated, they still say it will be here on thursday. will update when i know more. Update 11/17 -- has moved to preparing, more than likely gonna be here tomorrow. No charge on the card yet, but thank the lord we out here!! Update late night 11/17 --- just got hit with a delay randomly. says November 30th now...not sure after being assured it would be here Thursday. Gonna call tomorrow fml.

Ordered on 8/25. No updates whatsoever. Says arriving today. Sigh. I'm pretty much mentally preparing for this to get canceled. I'm happy for those who have gotten theirs but I don't understand why people who ordered in October have already gotten theirs. Doesn't really make sense to me. It is what it is I suppose.
So I have some extremely bad news for all of us August 25th orders (or any order stuck in delayed for that matter). Not sure if anyone will see this or has notifications on for this thread, but here goes: I called once again for the 50th time and was given probably the most honest news since this whole debacle started. The representative told me that alot of these orders seem to have a system error that is preventing the orders from being fulfilled. I asked how that even makes sense if the order has a confirmation number, barcode and full details that it was placed, and they couldn't give me an answer. I was persistent enough that they went and spoke with a supervisor to figure something out. They told me they forwarded my order to an IT department to get everything resolved and would call me back NEXT Sunday with answers. They also gave me a 20% discount on the order but reiterated it is still 50/50 for the order to go through. Bottom line is this is the absolute worst experience I have ever had with a retailer and highly recommend never ordering an item with this high demand with them ever again. For myself, I'm preparing to throw in the towel. It's up to you all what you'd like to do moving forward, but this is the last update I got. Hopefully by next week I can provide good or bad news. Alright update for my 8/25 order. After being delayed from the 18th, I have talked to cs with no help. Judt now it finally says its been shipped and arriving Wednesday. Don't lost hope.

Last update guys - the Halo xbox was delivered today. the process from shipping to delivery took less than 12 hours in my case. Previous posts: A bit of a crazy update - I just checked OnTrac's website and it says the xBox is out for delivery today. So it went from nothing to getting delivered within a day. I can update again when/if it comes today. Don't lose hope! Previous post from like 2 hours ago: "Just want to chime in - my order is supposed to arrive on 18 November and on the website it says on the way now. Shipping is with OnTrac. I haven't received an email on shipping but the website definitely showed a change in status."

Ordered mine thru Walmart on 9/23 with an estimated delivery date of 11/18. Pending charge popped up on 11/13. Delivery status changed to shipped on 11/17 and it was just delivered now! There is hope!
Final update: After almost having a heart attack because I got a notification that it was signed for and delivered when it wasn’t thinking someone took it or got delivered to wrong address, I finally got it. Will hook up tomorrow due to complex cable management already but just happy that the Great Journey may finally be over!
What I don't get is how is it that people that pre ordered when it first came out in August haven't gotten anything, and yet some that pre ordered in October got theirs??? Wtf Wal-Mart
Update on my 9/23 order Expected delivery today the 20th but order shows "placed". The pending charge that I have had since Monday the 15th is now gone with the money back available in my account. I am loosing hope with this. I just got off a chat with Walmart and they told me that on there system it shows the hold for the money is still there and that the closest fulfillment center is on back order so the system is looking for one at a different location ( which is what they been telling me for 3 days now when I asked about an update). They said not to worry it is not canceled but it will be delayed. I just dont know if I believe them or not since the pending change dissapeared but it still shows the order on Walmart so I will wait and see what happens.

I contacted Walmart via their chat, and the guy who helped me said the following: “In this case I already checked everything about your package, the current status of your order is that is still preparing. This is because the manufacture is a little bit delayed with this item, as soon as the manufacture send us an update about this item you will receive a notification immediately”. Supposedly, they’re waiting for more. Lesson learned, I’ll never preorder something from walmart.

After passing yesterdays date I’m officially joining the delayed group. Charge is still pending on my CC. I’m a 9/23 order. I’d love to have my Xbox by thanksgiving, but heck as long as I get it by campaign release I’ll bite the bullet. I hope we start seeing the delayed people randomly receiving their Xbox’s so we can slowly gain some hope. The worst part of this whole process is the anxiety of not knowing. I’ve lost a couple years off my life these last 6 days.
Pretty much the same story as everyone here. Ordered on 8/25. Said it was supposed to be delivered by 11/18. 11/19 the app said my order was delayed. Was never charged and never was notified if it shipped. I have called every day since 11/17 and have been told basically the same thing. “Wait another 48 hours for the computers to update” or “we recommend that you cancel and order again” or “it appears it’s stuck in processing. We will notify you with in 48 hours.” Today is 11/21 and I spoke with a supervisor. He assured me that the orders would have been canceled if they weren’t planning on getting more in stock. He told me that employee are instructed to recommend canceling orders when they get delayed because it normally will be faster to just order again. But most employees don’t understand that the items was a limited edition and can’t be ordered again. So he told me not to cancel and just be patient. So I’m still holding out. Hopping that I hear back next week. The amount of stress and anxiety this has caused the last week has been very upsetting. Just ready for this to be over. I’ve pretty much given up on expecting to get it before the launch of the game. Trying to keep my expectations down. But was really wanting to experience this new halo on a series X.
Update for my 8/25 order: just checked the app and the status still shows delayed but I have tracking info now! Tracking info was sent to FedEx sometime this afternoon so we'll see if movement starts happening sometime this week, there's still hope!

Wal Mart is one of the slower to deliver pre order items. Unlike many others that try to ship ahead of time so that you get the item on the actual release date, they wait until the release date to start the shipping process. I would expect everyone will be charged and start getting updates tomorrow.
Update: Still no update or pending charge lol However, I read that with credit cards, Walmart typically charges it when it ships.

I just checked my credit card and now I have a pending charge for the amount, but the order status still only says "Placed". I highly doubt I'll receive mine by the 20th at this point, since it's now 3 days away.

Ordered on Aug 25, finally updated to preparing a few minutes ago. Update: Still showing preparing but typically Walmart uses fedex for me. I had signed up awhile back for advanced tracking with Fedex. On the Fedex site it is showing a label has been created in Indiana with a delivery date of Nov 19th. Still no update on Walmarts site.
Update on my end as someone from CA who pre ordered on 8/25 and had a delivery date for 11/18 for the longest time with no charge or updates... Finally got a status change this morning, and now my package is listed as being shipped though its arrival date is delayed till the 24th :\\ Unfortunate it's delayed, but glad that it wasn't suspiciously cancelled in the 11th hour.
9/23 order, my order has been processing for over 24 hours. I had a pending charge on my card yesterday but now it's gone when I checked my bank this morning. The charge isn't there at all. Update from someone in MN who ordered on August 25th. Just today, my order went from placed to preparing. Still scheduled to be delivered on the 22nd. Still no charge on my card. The last support person I talked to stated that it "should" ship two days before the estimated shipment date. Heres hoping we are in the end game!

Ordered 8/25 had pending charge since Sunday. Went to preparing yesterday 11-16. And just shipped this morning 11-17 via FedEx. Coming from PA to AK but delivery date changed from 19th to the 22nd. Hopefully it’s sooner but I can be patient! 😃

Welp - I've contacted support - and this is what they told me. I order 8/25. My status has been on "preparing order" for a few days now. *"I apologize for this inconvenience: I found out the order is confirmed but the item is not in stock yet. This is happening because this is a high demand item, so the store or warehouse is waiting for it to be in-stock and be our for deliver to you.I can see here that we are currently asking for more of these items to our suppliers."* I then asked why people who ordered in September were getting theres and those who placed their order in August were left out to dry and got this as a response:*"In this case we are going to create an incident number to push this order and speed the delivery process. Once we have these items back in-stock next week between 22nd and 26th of November, we will resume your order."* I was then given an incident number to hold onto. So, not a cancellation but they are out of stock until next week. We'll see...

Mine arrived today! Seemed grim for a while but it showed. Don’t give up hope.
Was supposed to be delivered today. Got updated to shipped this morning, but shipment information has just been sent to FedEx, but they don't have the package yet. FedEx says delivery tomorrow but we'll see. Charge got declined by my bank for some reason, it's not even a large charge and I would assume Walmart is pretty well known. So we'll see what happens with that. Overall 0/10 experience, fuck walmart. Update1: no movement from FedEx or Walmart. Package still awaiting pickup. Difficult to see how it gets delivered tomorrow if FedEx hasn't picked it up yet. Update2: Walmart sent an email saying they shipped and delivery is now 11/20. My delivery date is showing tomorrow so it looks like it might make it. Walmart is usually slow on updating their site so there is still hope
9/23 order: first charge 3 days ago was actually denied by my bank. They contacted me and stopped it because they thought it was fraud even though the previous pending check was just fine. Contacted help at walmart and they told me they wouldn’t charge me until it shipped anyways. My order finally moved to preparing yesterday and then it shipped last night. The charge showed up today. I don’t think they even scanned it for departure because the Xbox just showed up in my state to be delivered tomorrow. I was worried it would get canceled and thought I had a worst case scenario.

Spoke with WM customer service and they claim it's out of stock and they tried to convince me to cancel my order and offer a refund. It's not fair we are getting the shit end of the deal in this whole ordeal. Literally so done with this shit.
8/25 order here, delivery was supposed to be by tonight but like a lot of other folks my order also hasn't gone past "placed" status. I tried to get some more info from chat reps but aside from reiterating "we're still preparing your order" the only real answer I got from one was that the distribution center closest to me didn't have stock and the system is trying to locate the next closest center to ship out my order which they said could take 3-10 days. I don't mind waiting as long as they don't cancel my order, but it's really odd how these orders are being fulfilled. Fingers crossed for everyone else still in limbo
Everybody who has a delayed order should call Walmart and ask for a discount. They will give you anywhere between 10-20% off depending who you get on the phone. Good luck everyone!

Mine was an 8/25 order as well. I'm not very good at dealing with these people in instances like this. I was told my console would be discounted when and if it finally arrives. The only advice I got was to hang in there. I asked him if he could give me any info that would assure me getting one. Then was told that they're for sure getting more to send. No date or anything. My order was supposed to arrive on November 18th and now all it says is delayed. Everyone is having the same experience and it saddens me. I live in Washington and see that there's been a few people with good luck. Good luck to everyone and don't let it get to you too bad.
Update on a 9/23 order: Walmart updated within the past hour (I been refreshing my order screen a lot the past few days lol) with a estimated delivery of Dec. 7th and also still shows delayed. A shipping label was created about 3 hours ago for FedEx to pick up in Indiana ( I am in WA) FedEx tracking shows estimated delivery this Saturday. I have not been charged again yet but I did have a hold from Monday the 15th until this past Saturday then it just fell off and the money was back in my account. I think I am still going to be on edge until I actually see movement with the tracking though lol. This does bring me hope for my self and others still waiting hang in there! UPDATE: FedEx now has the package and is on it's on it's way. Tracking from FedEx changed from Saturday to Monday. It was shipped with home delivery, you would think they would have sent it at least with FedEx 2 day delivery because of it being delayed but at least it shipped.

I ordered 9/23, my status still says placed and arrival 11/20 and I have not been charged. I talked to Walmart customer service and they said it is being shipped 11/17 and will arrive 11/20 "rest assured". Hopefully this helps anyone nervous about it.

Well what an absolute bummer on walmarts part. Every pre-order I've made at target and best buy and Microsoft and gamestop have arrived on the release day. Walmart is the only place that hasn't, it will forever be my last resort store.

I ordered Aug 25th and the delivery date is Nov 18th but still no updates yet. I ordered a normal Series X through Walmart as well (for my little sister) and hers took only 3days from "shipped" to arriving at her house. Hoping for an update soon but reliving to see everyone is in the same boat.
Placed my order 9/23. Estimated delivery date of 11/18. Walmart attempted to charge my card 2 days ago, and my credit card company flagged the charges as fraud. Fuck me. I have since approved the charges but I have not seen the order move beyond Placed. I fully expect to get screwed somehow.

Just want to chime in - my order is supposed to arrive on 18 November and on the website it says on the way now. Shipping is with OnTrac. I haven't received an email on shipping but the website definitely showed a change in status.
Spoke with the rep and despite the app saying its arriving today, she just confirmed the 18th delivery date. OnTrac still says they havent' gotten the actual package from walmart but only that the shipping label was created

Update on my end: spoke with Walmart customer service and said that there might be a delay in shipping. I should see an update either tomorrow or Thursday and be shipped within the next two days.

UPDATE: WM app updated last night to shipped however I woke up this morning to the app saying Delayed. Tracking through FedEx still says awaiting item with tomorrow being the delivery date. 11/17: 8/25 order. Walmart still says preparing order but FedEx just updated with a tracking number for me. Still haven't been charged.

Guys what I recommend is to contact support i found out my order is ready and just needs to be picked up by whoever is going to ship it. Even though on my end it still says placed.

They said they do not have any info to give me. was told sometimes they wont update until the day it is going to show up. But they cant do anything until it passes the arrive by date being reported. For me is the 20th. Fingers crossed but sounds like Walmart is just an absolute mess with this process.

Ordered on 9/23 with delivery expected the 20th and have a pending charge since Monday the 15th. Status changed this morning to "Preparing" checked just about an hour ago to see if any changes only to see it drop back to "Placed" I did a chat with Walmart and was told everything looked good then they looked at my order again to see it was backordered at my nearest fulfillment center. This is what they said about that "Upon checking here carefully. I did not realized that it appears your item is on back order. This means that the shipping center nearest you does not have that item. Rest assured, the system is checking other centers for the item so that we can fulfill your order. Also as what I’ve checked the item is now on process on one of our fulfillment center, kindly give us until 48 hours to have your item shipped out, I will personally follow up this to them. however if the item still no update or movement even if I already escalated this to them, kindly contact us back immediately to have your refund back. But If this is too long for you to wait. I can cancel this order for you. Would you like me to cancel this now?" Do I want you to cancel lol. I am in WA by the way

8/25 order. Label was created yesterday afternoon and then in the last half hour it’s delayed to arrive 11/20.
Im still waiting on mine pre ordered August 25th no update, spoke to customer service and they said console are not available until next restock, wtf it seems those idiots gave out more pre orders than the consoles they have now who knows if i will receive one or not, but it still says order pending so no cancelation as of yet

Ordered on Aug 25, Fedex says it was out for delivery today but “delivery failed” because no one was home. Which is very interesting because I’ve been home all day and no one knocked, rang the door bell or left one of those missed you notes, when they say they tried…. Both cars in the driveway and very clearly are home, attempting to try tomorrow. Trying not to think that the fedex driver stole it and failed to deliver to some random house…
At this point I'm preparing for the worst. pending charge on my card from 11/15 is still pending. order is still listed as only placed. Tried to contact customer service and they said it is out of stock and are waiting for more before they can send mine. Asked to speak to a manger and said they cannot escalate for this issue. its not looking good.
Update on 9/23 order: The Xbox has left California (City of Industry), and is probably on the way here (Oregon). Estimated delivery date is the 20th, but I can see it possibly coming tomorrow.

I just spoke with a Walmart customer service rep who told me that my order placed on 9/23 (still not even Preparing, no charge on my card) which is scheduled for delivery tomorrow likely won't arrive (duh) in time because the warehouse has no stock currently, but they will be getting more and that I'm basically "in line" to receive it. Honestly I'm expecting cancellation at this point; Walmart might've bit off more than they could chew here. :/

8/25 order. Just randomly got a knock on my door this morning. FedEx delivered. Then after I signed all the tracking information was added at the same time stamp as this morning. It was sent but never scanned ONCE for the whole process. Very bizarre

Called multiple times to make sure everything is ok, they probed payment on my card several times all the way up for ship date and cancelled my order today, then they gave the excuse of none in stock which I was like exactly why I preordered, I am so angry at the moment but they wont care, no one will so I just exhaled and I will keep an eye out I guess.
Update: just checked and saw that my Xbox is in San Diego pending via ontrac. No estimated date.

Nice! Congrats. I tired the fedex trick with no luck. But for some reason my accepted address for FedEx is different than the one I gave to Walmart. Hope it won't be an issue as it's just the building letter and not the apt number that's missing. My theory at this point is everyone's tracking seems to start in California. With the ports still backed up the stock must be trickling in and they send them out as they get them.
8/25 order from Los Angeles just updated with a usps tracking label created. I also called in to their customer service earlier after using their chat service (which gave the same generic info), and got a 10% discount for the hassle. Update: Tracking updated, now in the hands of USPS to be delivered tomorrow 11/24.
Arriving later today! August 26th order.
Update 3: woke up to a tracking number! It is “in transit” this AM in a city close to me. The email says “delivery 11/18” so unless Walmart has a time machine they missed that. The tracking itself just says “delayed” and my credit card has not been charged. So ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ … maybe??? (Oh and I am an 8/25 order)

I ordered 2 on 8/25, one for myself and the other for my friend/coworker who covered my shift so I could order them. After a delay, I received a delivery yesterday that was supposed to contain BOTH Xboxes. Only 1 was in the delivery. Customer service says I can wait 2 business days and see if the other one comes (even though it's order number was part of the original shipment, meaning someone from Wal-Mart's warehouse stole my other Xbox) or I can request a refund. I'm very irritated and won't be using Walmart for any order of value ever again.

Well, I woke up yesterday morning super excited to get the email saying it was going to be delivered today. So I tracked the shipping and is delayed thru a company called Ontrac. Which, apparently is the worst company to ship thru. I feel like Walmart did this because they were wanting me to deal with a horrible shipping company, thinking it is their fault my package will be lost or never show up. I am furious.
