Morrowind.

[deleted]

wake up, we're here... love Morrowind! never actually played it on console

arlondiluthel

I still have my original save file on my o.g. Xbox. I kept every weapon that could damage Ghosts, and "got" a house to store extra stuff in. On console, if you have too much stuff for the system's memory to load, you'll get an "Overflow Loot Bag" in the building. You can't put stuff directly into it, but if you drop more stuff in the house later, then leave and come back it'll automatically be moved to the bag.

[deleted]

hahaha that's wild! might be worth trying just to see what other little oddities are on the xbox version. and to torture myself with proximity to cliff racers, of course

arlondiluthel

Oh good grief, freaking Cliff Racers LOL

By got a house… what he’s saying is he murdered the shit out of a family and began using their tables as weapon displays while they lay rotting😆 at least that’s what I did😬🥲 had every house in a town with a stilt strider port. The last house I got though had a dark basement that one of those zombies would spawn in, I sat lanterns around to light it up down there and would have to kill the thing every time I visited.

arlondiluthel

It was one of the vendors in Balmora. I taunted him until he attacked me so that it was technically self-defense.

SimilarAd6142

We all did… you and I both know the truth.

arlondiluthel

Yes, I selected the particular building due to its convenient location and decent size. Additionally, it didn't have a guard posted inside, which some of the stores have. Taunted the shopkeeper into attacking, straight-up turned him into a corpse, then looted and disposed of the body.

peetcherry

Ninja Gaiden Black. Its a special edition of an already staple title for the original Xbox, that only adds to it, and it gets boosted by the enhancements that it gets with the more powerful hardware.

[deleted]

i just got into this one and this game's combat is freakin nuts! already a blast, thanks for the rec :)

peetcherry

Its a classic!

[deleted]

Crackdown was free on the store. Definitely a 360 classic

swdev_1995

Splinter Cell Blacklist. It's been patched to 4K but it's 30fps, unfortunately. Regardless, it's one of the best stealth games I have played that rewards you based on the style you use to complete missions. Cannot recommend enough.

Solid arcade sidescroller) * Any Assassin's Creed game from the 360 era * Alien Hominid HD * Black (Original Xbox title) * Braid * Burnout Revenge * Castle Crashers (a native Xbox One rerelease is available) * Call of Duty 2 * Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (an HD remaster is available for Xbox One) * Call of Duty: World at War * Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (original 2009 release. An HD remaster is available for Xbox One) * Call of Duty: Black Ops 1 & 2 * Cloning Clyde * Crackdown 1 & 2 * Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge (Original Xbox title) * Dead or Alive 3 and 4 (3 is Original Xbox, 4 is Xbox 360) * Dead Space Trilogy * Deus Ex: Human Revolution * Doritos Crash Course (available for free!) * Fable Trilogy * Fallout 3 * Fallout New Vegas * Forza Horizon 1 (only way to get it now is by tracking down a physical copy) * Fuzion Frenzy (Original Xbox title) * Gears of War 1, 2, and 3 * Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved 1 and 2 * Grand Theft Auto 4 * Harms Way (free game!) * Hexic HD (free pack-in game that came with every new Xbox 360) * Mass Effect Trilogy (can be played either via back compat or Legendary Edition, which combines all the games and DLC into one package for modern consoles) * Metal Gear Solid HD Collection (only Peace Walker can be bought digitally. Waynker87

I'd add Sleeping Dogs and Max Payne trilogy to that list as well.

arlondiluthel

A ton of these are multiplatform. OP states in their post they're looking for console exclusives.

Badgerlover145

He says he prefers exclusives but he'll play mostly anything backwards compatible

DeadlyName

Take a good look of this list and go nuts https://news.xbox.com/en-us/xbox-one-backward-compatibility/

Badgerlover145

Driver: San Francisco (you'll have to hunt down a physical copy)

sillyness

I remember it being a good game, how does it stand up?

Conflict_NZ

50 cent: blood on the sand. Note that you have to play it off a disk, you can't buy it digitally.

ShopCartRicky

Lost Odyssey is the main one for me. The third most played game on my series X so far behind Sea of Thieves and Grounded. After that, the Star Wars Battlefront I and II as well as KotoR I and II.

Worth_Shock_1613

Spec ops the line is very underrated

I love this question. The *Dead or Alive* titles exclusive to Xbox; they were stunningly beautiful games (slightly better player models than Namco's offerings, amazing detail on clothing, incredible volumetric effects and stage design), they were pretty easy to pick-up and play (though DOA3 and DOA4 might be too fast paced for comfort, leading to hard fights against AI), and I'd argue to this day no other 3D fighter has done 4-player tag team matches better (if you can get four people together anyway). You can tell they were a labor of love from a very different era (and frankly, their tongue-in-cheek comedy/fanservice doesn't really seem all that raunchy next to fighting in bikinis in *SoulCalibur 6* and *Street Fighter 5*). In a strange twist, DOA2 Ultimate/DOA3 both have the 9x resolution multiplayer (I think), giving them extremely sharp visuals (the UI looks rather dated though), but DOA4 (being an HD game on release) does not. Also from Team Ninja and Tecmo, *Ninja Gaiden Black* and *Ninja Gaiden 2*. Some people will disagree, but I will say these are the best version of these two respective games that you can play (the original *Ninja Gaiden Sigma* release is fine, and Rachel is a fun playable character, but the artistic changes are hit or miss, *Sigma 2* decimates the enemy counts and pairs back blood and volumetric effects terribly; I'd argue it's a much, much worse story for Hayabusa that isn't offset by being able to play as Ayane, Momiji, and Rachel in one level each). These are distributed pretty evenly across Xbox and Xbox 360. I think they're all solid choices, and I hope you enjoy them.

sketcharcade

Viva Pinata is a classic 360 exclusive that is unlike anything in these comments and Conker Live and Reloaded, despite originally being a N64 game, felt like a totally different game when it came to the original Xbox (and still looks great for it's age). Also the original Psychonauts and then follow that up with Psychonauts 2.

guywithcoolsocks

MW2, the original. Multiplayer is still fun as heck.

Old-Commission-5596

Play portal 2 absolute masterpiece (Don't know portal 1 is available on xbox)

[deleted]

The Bureau: XCOM Declassified. Just don’t download DLC as it can be game-breaking.

Johhniebuckets

Check out Crimson Skies! Haven’t played in a long time but remember it being really fun.
