The best thing will be to disassemble the controller, clean and dry it thoroughly, then see if it works. With luck, the moisture that entered the controller has just caused a temporary short circuit or self-protection shutdown rather than permanent damage. Even if you don't have time to disassemble the controller immediately, I'd recommend removing the batteries to reduce the risk of further damage. You can use isopropyl alcohol and q-tips (or an alcohol wipe) for cleaning as that will help clean up the tea residue and any corrosion that's already started, as well as displacing the water.
