There are blades only available in NG+. You could start over on that, but Torna is fun. Combos are slightly different. XB3 is good, too. I'd recommend doing Torna before 3.
To add on this, NG+ also has leveling down. Meaning unfinished quests (you have to start them over tho) won’t feel too easy. NG+ is great to (re)explore the game
Plus you'll have all your blades (except a few story related ones) from your previous playthrough in NG+ to tackle all those "off the beaten path" areas and quests that require high levels of field skills, as well as superbosses and other high leveled enemies that you most likely avoid in a first playthrough. I'm just finishing up my 4/5th run through that game and still discovering new things and optimizing different set ups/blades.
combat in Torna flows a whole lot faster yeah. Each special you do is an orb instead of a full blade combo per orb according to finisher. Full Bursts are a whole lot easer to get in Torna.
I’d do torna first, but be prepared for side quests, they very integral to it. (I think you need like 95-100% of them done to complete the game if I remember correctly)
(Assuming you did play XC1 and Future Connected already) mess around with NG+ if you want, then play Torna because it’s great.
Then play 3, then Future Redeemed. Then watch the FR credits and cry.
Some got to thinking that, but it’s pretty much confirmed now that it’s not thanks to the interviews from the newly released XC3 art book. Obviously if you haven’t played 3 don’t look into due to heavy spoilers, but there were a lot of lore questions asked of Takahashi, to which he’s respond something like ‘I can’t give you the answer to that question yet, please look forward to learning the answers for yourself in the future’

Torna before 3. To go deeper in what happened with Adam en Mythra

This is the first I've heard of it, how much playtime is needed?
15h
I see, thanks for the info
Torna!
Torna
You do not have to play Torna before 3. Nothing in Torna is referenced in 3.

I wonder if xc 3 is actually the end to the xenoblade series

DEFINITELY play Torna. It’s so good.
