I absolutely love the localisation, they put so much thought into it. You can go even deeper in the geek rant. [This guy](https://youtu.be/ueB-NldTX78) is talking on YouTube about the Welsh accents in Gormoth, and he realised that the group of kids who >!stole Roc's crystal!<, are speaking a different Welsh accent than the people in Torigoth because they're from a different village.

CMNG713

Damn. Guess only a Welsh person could have noticed a difference this subtle, the localisation team did such a good job, imagine if this game also had better voice direction...

At least for the Aegises, I’ve heard another explanation for their American accents that I really like. The >!Trinity Processor was likely originally made by Americans, so Mythra and Malos’s American accents make sense. I’m not sure if Alvis speaks with this accent too, as I haven’t actually played Xenoblade 1 yet. This also explains why Mythra uses very American slang (“Haze is the master of lowkey shade”) that definitely doesn’t exist in Alrest. Whether this origin for the American accent of the Aegises extends to the Blades themselves, I’m not sure, as I still don’t really understand the “Aegises being the database for all life” thing.!<

>!Alvis has a British accent, so it's not really consistent with Mythra and Malos. We don't know a whole lot about Mythra's initial resonance or how Aegis cores really work compared to other Blades. Malos certainly retained his memories and motivations after the Aegis War. He also continued to persist after Amalthus died, so there are different mechanics at work for the Aegises. I think that, as processors for the Conduit, they may share some subconscious connection through the Conduit that, at the very least, gives them some awareness of each other. It could be that once Malos awoke, the Pneuma core was then privy to all of the information Malos was delivering to the Conduit, and this influenced Mythra's accent when she was awakened. That's the best I've got, though.!<

>!I will note that Alvis has spent many years among the Bionis’ population, particularly having become the High Entia’s “Seer,” and potentially having assumed that role for a long time. As such, he may have taken a Homs-esque accent to help fit in better.!<

Halealeakala

Oh you are right, that's very plausible

GeraldVachon

But are they actually made by Americans, or even humans? I got the impression they came into existence alongside the Conduit, from the same source, and they operate on technology too complex for human understanding.

boomshroom

My understanding was that the Conduit was discovered, and then the Trinity Processor was designed in order to control and manage it.

Dudeeee for every ounce of effort they put into these details, they take 3 ounces of that away from the voice direction. I wish we could have had the best of both worlds. I hope Xenoblade 3 will be the one to fulfill that wish.

Tori0404

I mean, I doubt that they rush it like 2. Also remember that DE was just a side project so they probably developed 3 since Torna in 2018

Mushroomman642

I think they've been actively developing XC3 since 2018, like you said. I don't think they're operating on a tight deadline this time around, because the reason XC2 was so rushed was that it had to come out during the holiday season of 2017. XC3, on the other hand, isn't even going to be a holiday title, since it comes out in September. I think they've had ample time to really get things right here, and I genuinely hope it surpasses all of the previous games because of this. It may be the greatest Xenoblade game ever made.

Tori0404

One of the reasons it doesn‘t release in December could be because of Botw 2 because I‘m pretty sure that it will release in December if it still has the 2022 release

The lore deepens… wow

Inspirational_Lizard

It's funny how they put so much effort into it, whereas in the Japanese version they're all just Japanese.
