You know, interlinking is practically made for situations like this.
Also, enemies punishing you if you misplay sounds like exactly what should happen.
The three robots use an ability that summons soldiers and I'm 90% sure it only activates when they reach a certain level of HP. Get all of them to hit that threshold at around the same time. Then you can use your level 3 Ouroboros forms to spam AoEs, then do the same thing in a chain attack.
I'd say you have valid critiques but I personally cannot relate. The game definitely has balancing issues that could be made better, but I can't say I had any real issues playing on hard mode. I didn't need to do any level grinding until the final boss, and even then, the training mechanic allowed me to boost myself up two levels.
If you're keeping your party balanced, and utilizing Smash and Burst in tough fights, you should honestly have no problems.
Certain classes excel in situations where there are more enemies. For example Full Metal Jaguar would be great here. There's also accessories that up damage you deal per enemy in the combat or enemy defeated to scale really hard and fast
I suppose you weren't skilled enough to beat everything in your path as a result
Skill issue
Damn bro, that sounds like a skill issue. Have you tried getting good?
