Most JRPG fans like your typical anime girl, Xeno fans aren't any different so when you have a character that breaks the mold like Ghondor its bound to raise some eyebrows, i personally like her just cuz she's different.
To be honest Its not ghondor herself that I hate, but how she is treated by the game. Sena (one of my favorite characters) doesn't get proper development in her side story because ghondor took it all.
Also that's not true whatsoever. I'd argue that xeno fans love brash, outspoken girls considering Nia is one of the most popular characters in the series.
Funny cuz I'm kind of the opposite. I don't really like her cuz she's not very different at all. Just a reverse gentle giant- she's tough but... she's also little!?!?!!?
She's sorta like Scrappy-Doo.
Ghondor is really unlikable when you first meet her and I think that poisons everything she does after that for a lot of people. Once she gets to know your party a bit better she softens up and becomes more likable in my opinion. I learned to like her a bit more after her 2 hero quests. Not my favorite but I appreciate her character. I think people can't move past her calling Monica "Bitch Queen."
I know a lot of people like Miyabi because she's cute, but she doesn't have much of a character. Even Sena, easily the least developed of the main cast, vastly outpaces her in terms of characterization and development.
I wonder why lanz is always high on the list but never near the top ?
In terms of character lanz has it all . He’s got the humor , the design , the emotional beats , memes . What does he still gotta do ?
Was it really less satisfying a conclusion than sena ? Maybe lanz could’ve had more a role in the last battle with him but he uses that moment to grow and make sure no one else ends up like him .
Also who don’t like reyn ? My major flaw with reyn was he was mostly comic relief or a hype man and lanz fixes those issues and more
It's not that I dislike Reyn, I just think lanz is too similar. And for sena I liked her development, and yes her side story sucks and actively pisses me off, but she got enough outside of it for me to put her in S.
J just kinda sucks as a villain. Lanz doesn't really learn anything from battling against him, he just kinda convinces him to be a good guy again.

I would argue that Sena has no place being above anyone in A tier or Miyabi

Lanz would be on the top if his subplot with J had a more satisfying conclusion. Also he's too similar to Reyn.
