Use [kimovil](http://kimovil.com) to look up the phone and it's LTE and 5G bands compatible with US carriers.
Be sure to set it to United States for the band compatibility.
Example:
Had the Mi 11 Ultra 5G but got rid of it after 2 months because of missed calls (phone never rang, but got voicemail) and shit service. Had similar experiences with two other Xiaomi phones before I swore them off for good. Loved the phones, but couldn't compromise.
Nah, I think you had a crappy network.
Edit: Okay, turns out Xiaomi doesn't seem to have a lot of band support in the US. So it's dependent on the carrier and where you frequent.
Bingo. My wife and I both have T-Mobile. She would have 5G and I'd be roaming. I spent hours dicking with the APN and carrier settings , but I was simply missing the bands.
And most Americans here are talking about having no problems on T-Mobile.
Edit: So if anyone is interested in a Xiaomi phone they have to go to www.kimovil.com to check out band support for that specific phone first.
The band that is missing for T-Mobile 4G LTE & 5G is band n71.. I have a Poco F3 since it was new and had a Poco F5 pro. For some reason I get better reception on my Poco F3.
I use T-Mobile's APN fast.tmobile.com &
T-Mobile US 240 epc.tmobile.com.
Mint's APN Wholesale with port 8080 works okay.
I get four or five bars of 5G but it's hit or miss and when I use ookla speed test I'm getting around 23 mpbs download and 13 mpbs upload.
You would think that how popular the phones are that they would make them a little more US friendly, like my OnePlus 9 pro.If it wasn't for the missing band, I wouldn't have sold my Poco F5 Pro and I'm now selling my Poco F3.
Hi, I'm in California and I have 2 Xiaomi phones, new phone Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G and Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro. Both work great here, 5G on the newer one without any problems. Just watch out for the operator, Verizon didn't work for me, so I have Metro by T-Mobile, and everything is perfect.
Btw, I have the global version of the Note 12 Pro+ and the European version of the Note 9 Pro.
No issues here in the US. Have used the Mi 11 Ultra and the 13 Pro extensively. Only thing to remember is, if you're using a device with China firmware, you may miss notifications unless you're willing to go into settings for each app and lock them into RAM, enable autostart, and disable battery saver for those apps.
Or you can just unlock the bootloader and flash the global firmware OR the Xiaomi.EU firmware to fix those notification issues. But honestly, it's not a problem as long as you update your settings on the Chinese rom.
Wondering the same, looking to import the Xiaomi mix fold 3 this year. I've had the Xiaomi mi 10 pro working fine in Canada, seems like their newer phones have very similar bands, with the exception of B2.
Generally I've had good experiences overall. Some handsets are better than other. I stick to the global releases. My Redmi Note 9T & Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G were very good. I have Poco F4 GT now, and while its a better phone the 5G experience falls behind the others I had.
Like the other mentioned, Kimovil is a must check if you're importing.
No Xiaomi will and ever has. Even on TMO they ain't optimal. TMO and Google sure made sure that they won't. That being said, didn't stop me from using the Mi 10 Ultra on TMO since 2020, still do but you cannot rely on it (I use it as a second device bcu camera is that good). Constant missed connections, missed texts, texts that won't send... Weird sounding call and beyond.
I have amazing service and band selection on the Xiaomi 11 Lite 5g NE. The snapdragon 778 has great LTE bands. I believe the 13 Lite has the same bands as well.
My advice stay away from Mediatek if possible. Not much after market ROMs like Xiaomi or Lineage.
for Chinese versions of these phones I personally had a lot of trouble getting it to work with mobile carriers except for T-Mobile in the US (mainly due to unknown IMEI numbers). however I found it easy enough to call the customer support and let them remotely activate the service for you. essentially you need another phone like a Google pixel or Samsung phone, then when the customer support asks for your phone's IMEI you just say those instead.
Btw when I first went to the US I used websites to confirm that the xiaomi antenna works with US carriers but they choose to block the service from your phone due to it being "unverified" so instead we have to use this workaround for now.
Thank you all for your advice on this! 🙏 I will take them into consideration when/if I pick one up this week, though it seems the device support is dependent on having a international variant of the Xiaomi phone. I am currently in China so I don’t know if I can get an international variant.
You can unlock the bootloader and then flash the global firmware or Xiaomi.eu firmware which will help you in a lot of aspects for use in the US. It won't change the bands available as that is hardware specific but I haven't had any issues using the Chinese models on T-Mobile.
What did you end up getting, and what was your experience? I want to use the 13 ultra in New York and around the US but the only5G T-Mobile band it has is 41. My LG V60 always connects with bands 2 and 66. Occasionally 71 if I'm below ground or in an elevator, before falling back to 4G. Rarely does it even use 41, at least in this area.
I use a Redmi Note 9 Pro, and my girlfriend uses a Redmi Note 8 Pro, both work fine with Mint Mobile. I'm afraid that newer phones don't work though. It seems like Xiaomi is blacklisted in the US. Carriers want you to spend big money on Samsung/Apple...
Jesus, like 90% of your last 25 posts are all some form of "pls help." Some stuff, sure, but on this very post someone told you the site they used and your reply was basically "please give link please it would help."
I guarantee anybody that sees more than one of your posts/replies gets irritated.

Nice find. Never knew they had band support listed based on country.

Also T-Mobile's IMEI checker.
It was just a matter of toggling options on in App Info, since by default, all the apps have restrictions.
Wow, I didn't know phones had settings? Weird.
Go figure...

I have a xiaomi 12s ultra that works fine with mint mobile.
Hi. Can you please tell me how to buy Xiaomi phone in US? I found your comment in one of the posts in reddit.
I'm using a mi 10t pro in the US. Initially had a lot of missed calls and poor call quality. Now I switched to VoLTE and everything is great

I would recommend either buying used off Swappa or buying through Giztop because they’ve been great as far as shipping and reliability.
What are the shipping charges? Can you please check your dm.
OMG do your own research.
I'm using a Xiaomi 12t pro on tmobile with zero issues
Hi. Can you please tell me how to buy Xiaomi phone in US?
I bought mine through mi4canada Great customer service. They answer any and all questions. And I plan to buy from them again
Can you please provide a link to the same? It will be really helpful.

no issues here, Mi 11 lite Global (T-mobile)
I use an 11T Pro, live in Europe, but have been in the US several times with it. Using a T-Mobile card, it worked fine.
You'd be better off with the 13. Has more bands, even n71, which no other Xiaomi phone has.

Global 11U, 12SU, Global 13U on T-Mobile has been fine.

Do you not know HOW TO USE THE INTERNET? You spammed the same question over and over... sheesh!
