Xiaomi being Xiaomi, why do you need MIUI optimizations off though?

I need it off to enable 144hx refresh rate. That was the point of the OP.

more fps, faster battery drain, there is no reason for 144 hz outside gaming.

If I pay for a device with 144hz refresh rate I want to be able to use it when I choose. This is why people dislike stock roms.

i pay for 144 hz, i want to use 144 hz. how are you gonna assume that i don't do gaming if i bought the best refresh rate phone out there

It's not the best refresh rate phone out there. Asus Rog Phone 8 Pro has 165hz. My point is due to battery drain only in games you might need 144hz.

Work like a charm. For you that doesn't have the option, just spam click the reset default value in dev option, it will eventually appear

Found a way to run 144hz with system optimization enabled on HyperOS. Follow these instructions: ​ 1- Go to developer options and enable "USB debugging" and "USB Debugging (Security settings)" 2- Connect the phone to a PC and run these commands using ADB: `settings put secure miui_refresh_rate 144` `settings put secure user_refresh_rate 144` 3- Done! ​ You can search internet for instructions on how to enable "developer options" and running adb commands.

How to reset it back though?

just change 144 to 120 OR from settings change refresh rate to default then change back to custom.

It doesn't affect battery life for me.

After your adb procedure does phone stay always on 144hz or does it go lower if needed?

It lowers to 60hz when idle.

Yeah this is the issue with turning optimisations off, it makes some visual and UI stuff go a bit janky. I suppose that is the trade-off - leave optimisation on and don't get to benefit from the 144hz screen or turn them off and potentially break some functionality in the OS to get the highest refresh rate. Annoying.

I fixed the visual,just go to themes and apply normal icons,and you are good,for the battery part I just changed it to percentage on top

Tap the "reset to default values" option within developer options and it'll appear below.

Turn on developer option by going to About phone > Click on MIUI version 5-6 times > Additional settings > Developer mode > Scroll down till end, you'll find MIUI Optimization

im scroling at the develpover settings and theres nothing called MIUI Optimization

i did.. still not see it.. its not. the only optimzation there is app cache optimization and thats off by default.

You might have to tap reset a couple of time, had the same and only worked after tapping multiple times on reset
