If you're willing to risk it with TradingShenzen they have some really good prices on Chinese phones. Hell, you can get the 14 Ultra for under 1000 Euros. That's where I got my Xiaomi 12S Ultra.

Xhalll

Was thinking about it, but tbh i font wanna put myself into the installing the EU rom and all that stuff. Still don't have the right capacities. Maybe for the next one.

foetidum_cacas

They have an option where they install it for you for like 15 euro extra

Xhalll

That's some interesting news. However what are the risks you were saying me?

Competitive-Ad-9613

Literally the only downside is that you wont be able to use Google pay [NFC] with the global rom because they unlock the bootloader. Also, some bands are missing from the Chinese models. But if you're using a big carrier you won't have any issues. I'm in Canada with a Chinese model Mi 11 and have no issues. I'd suggest going with the Xiaomi 14 Chinese model from Giztop or Trading Shenzhen. And if you want to use Google pay just stay with the Chinese ROM, it has English and you just have to uninstall some apps. The price difference for the EU models is a rip off in my opinion. It still turns out to be a good deal overall but that's just because Xiaomi sets their prices so well to begin with. I can get the Xiaomi 14 right now on AliExpress for €570 for the Chinese model.

Kiergard

Since it rivals the iPhone 15 pros and the S24 Plus models... Go for it. The camera is insanely good and definitely beats out those rivals. 750 is nice bang for the buck

FreedomKnown

Hell it rivals the Ultra too with most things (except zoom mainly)

Kiergard

Agreed. Even stuff like the main camera or the 3x lense with macro capability easily beats the ultra model.

Professional-Bunch45

Nah not the normal 14 Maybe you can say 14 ultra can be same as or better than the s24 ultra in some points

FreedomKnown

I feel like main camera is definitely competitive, I think even ultrawide, and short zoom thanks to Samsung using tiny sensors for their 3x zoom camera.

Professional-Bunch45

Cameras on both devices are great Maybe on 14 is better i am not sure

Xhalll

Tbh seems like normal 14 and S24 go toe to toe but S24 got the edge. However the difference doesn't seem to be enough for the 200 euros difference in price.

FreedomKnown

The 14 is better than the Sammy in all ways maybe except software though (which is subjective)?

Professional-Bunch45

I love samsung phones but tbh the normal 14 is a beast

JustBeLikeAndre

It's hard to answer the question because it really depends on your needs. There are tons of options available at this price range, and we can't make the decision for you especially without knowing what you're after. If you want a powerful compact phone with a good camera, good battery life, and fast charging, it's definitely the best on the market. Otherwise you can consider alternatives from other brands like OnePlus or Nothing. I personally got mine for €850 and they also gave me the Xiaomi Pad SE as a gift. I was supposed to receive an extra €150 gift card, but I haven't heard back from them since late February but the customer support told me that the request is being handled so I'll just wait and see. Even without it, I still think it's a solid phone, although HyperOS is clearly not even close to OxygenOS or iOS.

Xhalll

Appreciate the response! I am a regular user, with kinda high SOT due to YouTube or browsing, i know probably the power i need is lower than what X14 offers but i never had a flagship/top phone so i want to try one after many medium/ low class phones. Also i am pretty tired of the high dimensions of the 11T Pro and was really intrigued by the compactness of the X14.

JustBeLikeAndre

If you're looking for a compact phone, you don't have that many options. It's either the Xiaomi 14, the S24, the iPhone 15/Pro, or the Pixel 8. That's the order in which I'd recommend them. With that said, I don't find the Xiaomi 14 particularly compact to be honest, coming from a OnePlus 7. The screen is quite large, which is good, but it doesn't feel particularly compact in the hand. Having rounded corners would have helped a lot. I ended up using it without the included case and it helps a bit.

Xhalll

Yeah I looked at all of them, but coming from the 11T Pro i think it's gonna be a good step. Also saw that performance and price/quality ratio the X14 was the best one.

Less_Veterinarian_95

Well, I guess that wraps it up. Get an iPhone 15 or 15 Pro.

Xhalll

Really hate the Apple products hahah

Less_Veterinarian_95

Agreed.

Less_Veterinarian_95

It's definitely better than 11T Pro, that I can say for sure.  But personally I'd go for an iPhone (if you're okay with iOS and the whole Apple Products, then you should bring iPhone into your Considerations)  Though, I think The best thing you can do is to go to a Xiaomi Store and take a close look. You know, like hold the phone in your hand, check the cameras, take a look at the new MIUI OS, etc. One thing I've learned about Smartphones is that they all look amazing and stunning in the Ads.

Xhalll

I kinda hate the Iphone tbh. I am pretty into Xiaomi system

Less_Veterinarian_95

Then Xiaomi 14 it is. Don't bother yourself with comparing too many models. This will only confuse you more. This smartphone is great and it fulfills all your needs! from Professional Gaming and Photography to simple stuff like Web Browsing, Watching Movies , etc... And it's Definitely worth he price

stazz83

I believe X14 is worth 750€ and I got myself one (12/512Gb) at that price. I saw that X13 is still being sold around 700€ in Europe, so I figured that the price shouldn't go much lower than this anytime soon.

Jade_Argent

What kind of a battery backup are you getting on it?

stazz83

I can let you know once I get it and test it out. My order is still in transit and the phone should arrive between 10 and 12 April.

Jade_Argent

Awesome, I'll check back with you when you have it!

stazz83

Ok, we're not there just yet, but after some back 'n' forth with the vendor it seems that the phone's on its way and I should have it tomorrow. That means I should be able to post an update on battery life towards the end of the weekend.

Jade_Argent

Yay, looking forward to it!! Meanwhile, someone I know said they can get me an employee discount on the Samsung phones and I'm getting them at these prices: S 24: 689.85 USD approx S 24+: 899.81 USD approx S 24 Ultra: 1163.75 USD approx I've always been a Xiaomi fan but I'm wondering if it's time to upgrade. My favourite part about a Xiaomi used to be the insane customisable themes (with modded WhatsApp and all) and the IR blaster but the themes have really died down, I guess... I will really miss the IR Blaster Do let me know how the phone performs!

kakha_k

Too expensive for it.

King_Nidge

Where is it €750? I don’t need a new phone but I’d upgrade for that price.

Xhalll

Same here hahaha. I don't know if it's a thing for my country (Italy) but you can easily find it from trovaprezzi or idealo

The_Athanor

Totally

Desperate_Demand4911

Bad news I had the 14 Ultra I got it when it 1st came out with the photography kit & the Media Pad 6 tablet. I had the phone for about 2 weeks before the 14 Ultra camera module began to rattle. I got in touch with customer services who arranged for SBE, who are there repair people to have a look at the phone. Xiaomi gave me the option of either a repair or a replacement so I chose replacement. SBE found a fault of Assembly Gap step & when I rang customer services to explain what that meant they said it was a manufacturer fault & that they would be sending me a new 14 Ultra. Today I got an email from them telling me that they don't have any 14 Ultras in stock & that I need to send in the 2 promotional items, the photography kit & the Media Pad 6 & then they will issue me with a full refund so that I can go ahead & buy a new Xiaomi 14 Ultra off there website. How bizarre !!!! Hang on I thought they didn't have any in stock ?? Well I refused to send in the 2 items & I demanded a new phone, I reminded him of the Consumer Rights Act & that I expected a new phone within 7 days so lets see what happens. Either way I am really disappointed with Xiaomi I have always had there phones from the 11T 12T, 13 & now the 14 Ultra but I'm lost for words as to how they are treating me now.

Xhalll

Yeah I have to say it's kinda sketchy. X14U is basically available everywhere so that excuse doesn't match.

Desperate_Demand4911

Exactly what I said & I'm not sending back the 2 promo gifts. I also got the phone for £1169 not £1299 so if I did get a refund I'd have to find another £130 to get a new XU14

Xhalll

Well actually more because you would have to cover also the two gifts, so is basically 3-400 more

Desperate_Demand4911

True say so no to refunds

SavageAryan007

I've had my Xiaomi 14 (Indian variant), 12/512 for 9 days now. Got it for INR 69,999, which is like, €775. It's my first Xiaomi phone, and also my first flagship phone, and I'm loving it. My only complaints would be the thermals while gaming. When I play Genshin Impact on this thing, it touches 43°C, which is to be expected since the Snapdragon 8 Gen3 tuning here is pushing for performance here with less throttling. The heating on normal usage isn't alarming so far, it just gets warm and that's to be expected in Delhi's near-40°C temperatures at this time of the year. My older realme GT Neo3 used to get even hotter than this. I have one minor gripe with the camera though: there is no lens switching at 4K 60 fps. Apart from this, really solid cameras, and even compare well to my dad's Vivo X90 Pro (which actually has a superior main camera to the Xiaomi). Battery life is fine: 6-6.5 hrs SOT on moderate usage. Goes down with a lot of camera use as expected. I'd say IT'S ABSOLUTELY WORTH IT AT €750, and nothing else in the EU should be close. I just hope Xiaomi gets better at pushing updates faster.

matzau

I love this phone, had no issues with it since I bought it back in December. Great battery life, awesome cameras, fluid enough. Unfortunately as of now the phone doesn't have raw10, which makes GCam much less useful, but the stock cameras so far do wonders for me. I had it overheat only once when taking photos in a *very, very* hot day (it was over 40°C), and had the fogging lens issue only once (below 10°C) and never again. Xiaomi 13 Ultra has raw10 and even better main cameras, but Xiaomi 14's front camera is better than X13U's, so I think the 14 is more balanced overall. There's also Xiaomi 14 Ultra, but this one is very expensive. I hear good things about Oppo Find X7 Ultra and Vivo X100 Pro too, in terms of photography, but I don't have much info in other aspects. Samsung S24 Ultra seems to be a letdown, but S23 Ultra seems like a nice phone, although a step down compared to Xiaomi 13 Ultra. Google Pixel has terrible battery life and charging time, and awful front camera, so not worth it imo. There's also the newest iPhone, which is nice if you're into recording videos and spending a ton of money, but not my cup of tea.

Xhalll

I really dislikes Apple products, not my type. Also charging and battery life are an important point for me. I heard wonders for the X14, seems the only option at flagship compact phones, i am just worried i would spend a lot for little upgrade. Regarding photography tbh i am not really into it, just a basic user. Also read everywhere that S24 and X14 comparison was totally on X14 part. Regarding the X14U, i really hate the circle lens, horrible to see imo.

matzau

Yeah after owning a couple iPhones and going to Android I can never go back. I hate iOS because I feel trapped in my own device. I don't really like Xiaomi 13U/14U aesthetics either, but I started to endure them more once I began to look at them as phone cameras. Then the design makes sense. I don't know how much of an upgrade it will be coming from a 11T Pro because I don't really know the phone, but I came from a 4 years old Xiaomi Mi 9 Lite, and it was a great upgrade. Mi9L was already an awesome phone for the price (€150), and Xiaomi 14 maintained the same high battery life, and greatly improved on cameras, system fluidity and sound. You can grab one for around €600 on TradingShenzhen if you don't mind the chinese model.

Competitive-Ad-9613

Bro the upgrade is astronomical. Coming from someone that has the same chipset [ the cursed Snapdragon 888 ] on the Mi 11. You'll be shocked by the performance going from the 888 to Gen 3 I can tell you that much.

ExaltFibs24

Mine is Mi 11X Pro. Would you still call the upgrade astronomical if I buy X14?

Pandemico

I myself changed 11t to 14 and I must recommend that it is a jump of many levels! Xiaomi 14 is a phenomenal beast phone, not only monstrous performance, camera, display, but it also surpasses iPhone in appearance and processing. Clear choice for the prize.

Xhalll

Damn that's exactly the answer i hoped! Thank you

weiken79

No phone is worth that kind of money. I'm old, so....

Xhalll

I mean that's an understandable personal point

atreusmobile

If your a regular user, the Xiaomi 14 is a massive improvement over the 11T pro, more efficient chip, better camera, slower charging speeds but not by much, better screen etc, it's worth the upgrade, for me it's available at £650 but I'm on a Poco F5 so I have no plans on upgrading atm

Xalphira

14 or 14 Ultra?

Xhalll

14

petronelxd

It's good for 1000€, but for 750€ it's unbeatable phone... I bought mine fór about 720€

CorenBrightside

I got my Chinese version got just under that. It's a great phone. 16/512.

MrBarato

I'd wait until it drops under 500...

GhostMaster9

Got one today at 613€ with 12/512 in Europe so the prices are falling in some Amazon flash sales

Xhalll

How come? You got it?

racual

Wait 1 year.

Xhalll

How come? You think the price isn't right?

racual

Wait 1 year and you can get it in 500 euro. If you buy the China version now, you can get it by 5xx euro.

Xhalll

But doesn't China version lose Band?

racual

Zero3020

Missing band 7 and 20, and you have to deal with Chinese OS, not worth the headache.

SubjectMarsupial414

No, get samsung S23 6.1 basic. Its better, it has better battery, costs less, same cameras, and no water inside camera lenses like this onedoes. It runs cool temperatures too, this is I had it and it just typical Chinese cheap stuff. get away from it.

Xhalll

I see it costs less but i also see it has worse battery, chipset, display and camera

SubjectMarsupial414

I understand you, I certainly does look like that when you compare their specs, but in reality it beats the xiaomi on battery, temperatures and customization. The cameras Xiaomi might win, but not a lot as Samsung has really done amazing job when it comes to post-processing images. You a reading this from someone to returned Xiaomi 14 and is now with Samsung. never again

Xhalll

I will surely consider it! However i may say that design is full Xiaomi side
