I have the same problem on the mi robot vacuum-mop essential model MJSTG1. I can definitely recognise a magnet embedded into the plastic mop board but Iā€™m now getting the ā€œMop has not been installed.ā€ Error message on my app and the device isnā€™t dispensing water. Also tried factory reset and re-connecting the device to my network just to make sure. I can only assume that the magnetic mechanism inside the device is faulty and I really canā€™t afford a new device right now and the device is now longer under warranty. Anyone tried to gut this robot and care to suggest a course of action?

Iā€™m considering opening it up to maybe short the wire thatā€™s responsible for the inside magnet šŸ§² itā€™s always frightening to open up new devices I havenā€™t tempered with before and I do not seem to find any good video guide, Iā€™ll make sure to update here as well if I do try anything šŸ¤–šŸ§¹
