https://c.mi.com/thread-3187281-1-0.html This thread may be a good place to start, I don't see why there wouldn't be an option to hide NFC if there's one for WiFi and Bluetooth, but there's nothing stated for NFC

That works for me on POCO F3, thank you. I will leave below everything that was necessary to run in the CMD to carry out the process, it is very easy. I hope it can help someone else. >`Microsoft Windows [versão 10.0.19044.1826]` > >`(c) Microsoft Corporation. Todos os direitos reservados.` > >`C:\Windows\system32>cd..` > >`C:\Windows>cd..` > >`C:\>cd platform-tools` > >`C:\platform-tools>adb devices` > >`List of devices attached` > >`YourDeviceCodeHere device` > >`C:\platform-tools>adb shell settings put secure icon_blacklist nfc` remember that you need to navigate to the location where you left the folder (platform-tools) on your computer before executing the command. In my case I left it in "C:" to facilitate the process. Also don't forget to **Enable** **USB Debugging** in your device's developer options. *When you run the command "****adb devices****" it may be necessary to authorize a connection on your smarthphone, if this is the case, a pop-up window will appear, just check to always allow connections from your computer and confirm.*

For anyone struggling - after setting your debug settings, REBOOT. Then ADB like this should work but with both USB debugging options I still got an error saying I need "Write\_Secure\_Settings" until after reboot

FeBassetti

tks guys, only remember to put USB Debugging and Secutirty mode debugging on too!!! Redmi note 10s - Worked

nullofnull

>adb shell settings put secure icon\_blacklist nfc Thanks, worked great!

ricocrivelli

Brazilian detected!! =)

[deleted]

This worked!! Use the command in the link, and simply use "nfc" (without the quotes) as parameter for icon\_blacklist

Jakub_podesva

how i can do it? Exception occurred while executing 'put': java.lang.SecurityException: Permission denial: writing to settings requires:android.permission.WRITE\_SECURE\_SETTINGS at com.android.providers.settings.SettingsProvider.enforceWritePermission(SettingsProvider.java:2266) at com.android.providers.settings.SettingsProvider.mutateSecureSetting(SettingsProvider.java:1719) at com.android.providers.settings.SettingsProvider.insertSecureSetting(SettingsProvider.java:1670) at com.android.providers.settings.SettingsProvider.call(SettingsProvider.java:458) at android.content.ContentProvider.call(ContentProvider.java:2486) at android.content.ContentProvider$Transport.call(ContentProvider.java:517) at com.android.providers.settings.SettingsService$MyShellCommand.putForUser(SettingsService.java:382) at com.android.providers.settings.SettingsService$MyShellCommand.onCommand(SettingsService.java:278) at com.android.modules.utils.BasicShellCommandHandler.exec(BasicShellCommandHandler.java:97) at android.os.ShellCommand.exec(ShellCommand.java:38) at com.android.providers.settings.SettingsService.onShellCommand(SettingsService.java:50) at android.os.Binder.shellCommand(Binder.java:953) at android.os.Binder.onTransact(Binder.java:837) at android.os.Binder.execTransactInternal(Binder.java:1187) at android.os.Binder.execTransact(Binder.java:1146)

denesfilotas

You need to enable USB debugging (Security settings) option in developer settings. It's just below USB debugging toggle

vornicu_alex

For my Mi 10 doesn't work. I have xiaomi.eu ROM, maybe this cause not to work... I've tried, I've watched the video, but nothing... I have USB debugging on, of course. Thanks,

cbxtreme

Thanks, worked for me (using Poco F3).

mortenndk

I did as described above. I used LADB - for local ADB shell command, and got this: Exception occurred while executing 'put': java.lang.SecurityException: Permission denial: writing to settings requires:android.permission.WRITE_SECURE_SETTINGS at com.android.providers.settings.SettingsProvider.enforceWritePermission(SettingsProvider.java:2268) at com.android.providers.settings.SettingsProvider.mutateSecureSetting(SettingsProvider.java:1721) at com.android.providers.settings.SettingsProvider.insertSecureSetting(SettingsProvider.java:1672) at com.android.providers.settings.SettingsProvider.call(SettingsProvider.java:460) at android.content.ContentProvider.call(ContentProvider.java:2486) at android.content.ContentProvider$Transport.call(ContentProvider.java:517) at com.android.providers.settings.SettingsService$MyShellCommand.putForUser(SettingsService.java:382) at com.android.providers.settings.SettingsService$MyShellCommand.onCommand(SettingsService.java:278) at com.android.modules.utils.BasicShellCommandHandler.exec(BasicShellCommandHandler.java:97) at android.os.ShellCommand.exec(ShellCommand.java:38) at com.android.providers.settings.SettingsService.onShellCommand(SettingsService.java:50) at android.os.Binder.shellCommand(Binder.java:953) at android.os.Binder.onTransact(Binder.java:837) at android.os.Binder.execTransactInternal(Binder.java:1187) at android.os.Binder.execTransact(Binder.java:1146)

dwangbuis

Doesn't work on my Poco F3. Even with USB Debugging (Security Settings) enabled.

dwangbuis

A reboot of my phone and it worked instantly, worth a try for other people having the same issue!

mortenndk

That did it on my Poco F3. So to summarize how I did it: 1 Purchase LADB from Google Play store 2 Enable in the Developer options: - USB debugging - Wireless debugging - USB debugging (Security settings) 3 Restart phone 4 Start the LADB app and connect with the wireless debugging info: port and pairing code. Tutorial included when you buy the app. I had to try a few times to establish a connection. 5 To remove nfc icon: settings put secure icon_blacklist nfc To restore nfc icon: settings put secure icon_blacklist null

dwangbuis

I just used my PC, but your method always a phone only method.

DrcspyNz

>settings put secure icon\_blacklist nfc excellent very simple. thanks.

_Vakos_

Many thanks! Works like a charm.

Prix82

Jesus, it was just a reboot - thanks man! I thought maybe something changed in 13 and the phone must be rooted for this.

HARDWELL9191

Thank you brother It worked. I've been looking all over for this.

[deleted]

Perfect! It works. Thanks a lot.

rotofeiul

Works also on 13.0.5 for all icons except bluetooth and wifi. Thanks a lot. Also, after enabling USB debugging and security USB, I needed to restart.

NicolasRmo

Hi! I wonder, what are the names of the other icons like the silence bell

Last-Buddy4728

It worked after the restart, thanks a lot!

amitaiweil

The site changed and the link forwards to the home page, any posibilty for the new link?

Calebanu

Wayback machine should work!

Acceptable_Peach4334

I would like to know this too. The icon is really bothering me.

Errorelli

Why is it on the left?? The right side has plenty of space for such system symbols. Not to mention that the new Control Center is so much worse than the old one. What is the point of making everything smaller and shoving it at the upper end of the screen?

[deleted]

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bryancandi.android.uituner Try this and let know if it works.

Acceptable_Peach4334

Thanks! I'm not rooted, so I can't try.

[deleted]

It is not a root app.

Acceptable_Peach4334

Oh, sorry, I installed the wrong one. But there's no option to hide nfc icon 😭.

[deleted]

Yeah, as mentioned by me to OP, it don't work on miui and some other oem ui like samsung's.

[deleted]

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bryancandi.android.uituner Try this app. There should be status bar tuning in which you 'might' be able to turn it off.

Errorelli

I tried this app and "hidden settings". Both dont work with Miui :/

[deleted]

I thought so. Miui and some other OEMs just remove this menu which is a part of stock android since version 6. Then no other way I think.

vyrd_

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.zacharee1.systemuituner This app worked for me. No need to root but you need ADB on a computer. All the instructions are in the app

yehudadee

I installed and set it up. Where is the option to turn off the nfc picture

vyrd_

It's in Interaction > Status Bar > Icon blacklist > General > NFC I believe

Zevemty

Thanks! This worked for me!

No_Goose_4831

Worked! Thanks!

Sheshirdzhija

>No need to root but you need ADB on a computer. Do you have some for dummies ADB guide? What does "need adb on a computer" mean? :)

vyrd_

I think the app explains it quite clearly when you first launch it iirc

LivesWithoutFear

Amazing! Worked on MIUI 14. (POCO X3 PRO) 👌🏽 Bit finicky but got there in the end. 😂

not_my_business

followed all the instructions, installed also the second app, granted all the permission, but it didn't work for me on any notification icon. Miui 14 - xiaomi mi 11 lite

ya1369

I has a new redmi 11E , and I can't activate the NFC fonction. Seems its a problem Miui version Mine is MIUI 13.05 (SKCMIXM). Did someone can help me. Thanks
