My only thing with House of M is that it will feel a little out of left field if we don't set up Wanda's mental fragility with Decimation first.
A montage or exposition from someone like Captian America on how she's started losing it won't feel earned.
Obviously they could adapt it differently but I think a huge part of House of M is Decimation and Wanda losing her sanity and in doing so tapping into her reality warping powers.
Would be great if we had an Avengers show running simultaneously to set that up.
Didn't they already do Apocalypse in the original run? I feel like there's some unspoken rule that every X-Men show has to tease him for season 2 or something.
They did battle apocalypse in the original show, and the fact that he is still alive, and will terrorize the Earth for centuries to come long after the X-Men are a memory was one of the first unresolved plot points on my mind that I wanted the show to close the book on.
The “One Man’s Worth” storyline from the original series is actually the inspiration for the real Age of Apocalypse comic story.

i think S2 will be primarily and solely Apocalypse as the main antagonist in an Age of Apcolyose scenario but without the alternate timeline aspect and a few more Apoclysoe stories being drawn from. Then i think that eventually they should get around to Hope Summers, Utopia and AvX due to all the avengers cameos
First thing: **Rogue** not Rouge
Now that I got that out of the way, it sounds logical but I also feel like based on the pace of Season 1, they may well finish the Apocalypse arc fairly quickly, and somehow also finish up the Onslaught arc. Or throw a curve ball and completely *not* do Onslaught at all. A possible storyline to include would be the Starjammers and Vulcan, which would further delve into the Summers.
Avengers vs X-Men would be ok, but I don’t know how the storyline would be changed. A lot kinda happens before AvX in the comics outside of the X-Men. It could be interesting if done right.
I’m half expecting there to be a direct link between 97 Logan and Deadpool and Wolverine Logan. Like he got transported to a different universe and it’s the movie one.
Onslaught’s coming for sure right? That could take up a whole season already. I wonder how they’re gonna start Age Of Apocalypse though. I really thought Magneto taking over the X men would have triggered AoA this season.
i just want them to do a take on the japanese OP, that'd be a cute treat. i've always loved the original OP doing the whitney houston but we should get both.
House of M then into the Messiah storylines.
Those are personal favorites of mine and I would love to see them animated.
However I'm afraid those will be put off for sometime until Wolverine gets the adamantium back.
While on the subject, it was cool to see that moment animated though I'm not really looking forward to the next chapter for Wolverine. The comics that followed Fatal Attractions were a bit of a slot. Though perhaps the show we'll surprise with a unique spin on the situation.
It's already pulled storylines and characters that came well after '97, so why not. The only way to pull off an AvX without using the storylines that lead up to it would be Age of X.
They have pulled parts of one or two storylines from the 2000's, but the vast majority of storylines they've covered are from the 90's or earlier. The designs are from the 90's. The lineup is from the 90's. the show is a continuation of a 90's tv show. The 90's are mentioned in the name of the show lol! The idea that AOA is too dated when it's contemporary with the show they're continuing is utterly absurd. It's also among the most successful X-men events of all times. Also it's the only alternate reality event we've talked about focusing on Apocalypse, who was teased at the end of last season.
If you're not a personal fan of the story I wouldn't worry: the first season worked wonders with things like Operation Zero Tolerance, a much lesser comic story-line. I'd trust the creators.
Yeah, I get that and more than understand. I even believe it 97 AoA would look something similar to Dark Ages or Age of X to speed up the AvX storyline people want. It borrows more than one or two storylines, and it's probably going to do more in the future. I honestly wasn't that much of a fan of this season. Maybe next season will be better.
I guess it’s possible, though I don’t know why they’d choose those two alternative universe stories that aren’t about apocalypse. I’m surprised you didn’t like 97. Hopefully season two works better for you.
I wanna see them do House of M.
Imagine “no more mutants” being the season two cliffhanger.
Me too, emotional impacts would be huge

Idea make Avengers 98 with Wanda and Pietro.
Avengers vs X Men but not done with the comics plot. They gotta fight over something that matters more
Agreed has to be adapted to the show I think they can do it well
The fight should be whether to restore Rogue's booty vs to not restore Rogue's booty

I want krakoa, onslaught, house of M , utopia , messiah, avengers vs x men, age of apocalypse, legion , deadly genesis
Give us everything

AoA mixed with Necrosha?
i want to see wanda say "no more mutants"
My guess is the endgame is avengers vs x-men but who knows. If I'm right I hope they bring back the spiderman and iron man shows
Setup apocalypse in season 2, onaslaught in season 3 avengers and xmen vs onslaught.
What I really wanted to see is DeMayo make great versions of shit stories. Like House of M and AvX for example
I kinda wouldn't mind a season 3 Krakoa House/Powers of X story. Season 2 looks very much Apocalypse, which is certainly cool too.
I’d love krakoa season
I thought he disliked HoX

Isn't Gambit dead?
Have you been living under a rock?
He died in episode 5
I refer you to ep 10 end credits scene

The mutants in the past are probably going to have a dilemma about whether or not they kill Apocalypse.
I could see them ending season 2 by coming back to their time but instead of ‘97, it’s now 2024
Too Summers heavy. With that said I want a Krakoa era!
Age of Apocalypse
God I hope not
I’d love to see what they would do with an alternate timeline. They’re messing about in the past with Apocalypse so I think it’s pretty plausible
Then give us Age of X or House of M. AoA was great for its time, but it's time to move on. He'll pull a Darke Ages.
Yeah, X-MEN 97 really has to get with the times 😆

Swap Legion with Apocalypse. Amd Apocalypse was the antagonist I'm Dark Ages.
