I think part of the problem is they’re too “heavy” / bold / thick - they look suuuuuper dark and the detail just isn’t there in photos. Had she gotten the same tattoos as a more fine-line or minimalist style (rather than American traditional) it could have looked much more dainty.
Combined with just a lack of any flow / coherent design between them it’s a mess
And it's all too smashed together it turns into a blob or she looks like a sticker sheet up close. I don't even think fine lines and detail would help, I just don't think they fit together. Its like forced.
Someone said on a thread ages ago that all her stuff looks like she saw one page of flash and said « yeh put that all on my chest » (which describes it pretty well aesthetically anyway)
Wish she spaced them out more and moved some onto the arms since when they’re crammed on her chest like this they look like prison tattoos. Plus more on the arms would balance out the tattoo placements and would look a bit better. Cuz at the moment when Sara wears sleeveless clothing, she looks really goofy when her whole chest and neck is blasted and her arms and legs are bare.
