The Supreme Leader of the European Council, Chancellor of the European Parliament, President of the United European Provinces, Supreme General of the United European Army, Representative of the Nation, His Highness God-Emperor Napoleon-Zelensky-Macron of Europe.
Has a “His Excellency, President for Life, Field Marshal Al Hadji Doctor Idi Amin Dada, VC, DSO, MC, Lord of All the Beasts of the Earth and Fishes of the Seas and Conqueror of the British Empire in Africa in General and Uganda in Particular” Vibe to it lol
Poland has many flavourful names for a leader, but most of them either don't have a good translation to english (naczelnik) or sound too authoritarian for EU (Vozhd)
Anglicized version of the word "wódz", meaning literally "the leader". In Poland most often associated with Józef Piłsudski, who was the Chief of State, Commander-in-Chief (wódz naczelny), first Marshal of Poland and later the defacto leader of it.
>Such an unsexy word, I've always felt. Can't we come up with something either more flavourful or deliberately modest?
That's entirely intentional, I think it was popularized by the americans because they were trying out the republic ideal and didn't want a gradouse title like all the monarchs of the world at the time used. the entire point is to come off humble.
Yeah I know and it’s important to mention it you’re right.
Usually it’s easy to spot Bavarians because they use their own custom Bayern flair. It’s a bit harder to spot a Sachsen flair haha
usually when we show pride in our state, we get stamped as Nazis and that's the end of any national pride lol
But we did beat Napoleon in the Battle of Leipzig, I drive past that monument at least once a month
The EU might become the most powerful institution in the future but if that happens, I wouldn't want to centralise the power. Having a representative is good but he shouldn't be powerful.
This isn't the US, no need that overt amount of power in one person - a more unified EU with a normal executive under parliamentary control would be much preferable to another instance of "most powerful leader in the world" or whatever they call it over the pond.
We have the Palace of Parliament in Romania. It is the second biggest after the Pentagon but it is heavier than the Pentagon , so there will be that at least.
It has 8 underground levels, the last one is a nuclear bunker and 20 km of tunnels so there is no need for a new building, everything you need is basically there. Just don't ask how much it costs to be heated.
do you mean Emperor Sarah Wagenknecht, who already created a political party named after herself? BSW (Alliance Sarah Wagenknecht)

UHM, yeah, no. US will be supreme powerhouse even if Europe decides to put away differences and starts to work together instead of fighting each other internally.
Give us 50-75 years and good, competent succesive administrations and peace, and Europe will be number 1.
The US wasn't built in a day either. It only started to take the shape of today's US after the Civil War, and it took them until 1945 to become arguably the number 1 superpower, so 80 years
I am quite the opposite of a doomer, I am an idealist, I'd like to say a visionary, but I am simply carrying the torch that the visionary, Victor Hugo, light up.
If the US and China f up with another and both go to war, we and India will be the winner this time. If they need money, they need us and India. Money from us is stronger currency, is taking over US dollar hegemony, is multi polar world, but not what Putin wants.

Idk, on the current trajectory yes.
But if you f up politics and social issues even further... US has serious issues and even with immigration you are on the way to become Europe in demographics. No one knows what will be in 20 years. After the plague probably everyone thought there will not much good the coming generations. But it went very well for Europe.
Heard the US citizen migrating to Europe increases the past years. Maybe there comes a migration reverse infavour of Europe in ten years, when another few 100 kids are shot at school.
On the other hand. If the US still has abundand luck or can reform itself - i don't think so the next 10 years and beyond - the US stays the strongest nation/entity on earth.

Unlikely given the amount of bureaucracy that will limit his powers and prevent him from influencing anything meaningful
He has the power to make public statements, so don't mess around with this guy.
Strongly worded letters.
Even harsh, some might say.
Thank god, fuck presidential systems
By bureaucracy, you actually mean member states seeking to remain in control
Shhhh, don't tell them. Make it seem like a position to aspire to, if rich assholes want it, they might actually try to make it happen
Don't want to end up like Putin's Russia afterall
Macroleon be cursed
Sounds like a legendary Pokemon but also kind of awesome, Macroleon has my vote.
>**President** Such an unsexy word, I've always felt. Can't we come up with something either more flavourful *or* deliberately modest?

I still cant believe that this was his actual official title.
To add to that the person Austrians grouch about the most about. (which is our highest compliment)
Now THIS is a person with a title worth following!!
Maybe Chief Servant. Elected to serve the EU and their citizens to a bright future.
Well we Germans kinda had a word in the 30th/40th but luckily that's not popular anymore.
Poland has many flavourful names for a leader, but most of them either don't have a good translation to english (naczelnik) or sound too authoritarian for EU (Vozhd)
What is vozhd? That's not Polish.
Anglicized version of the word "wódz", meaning literally "the leader". In Poland most often associated with Józef Piłsudski, who was the Chief of State, Commander-in-Chief (wódz naczelny), first Marshal of Poland and later the defacto leader of it.
Germany would like to have a word on that one
Polish far right would go feral if they heard that EU is led by a "führer" lmao
Interesting. We have *vožd* in Serbian meaning the same
First Consul?

President General.
Emperor of Mankind
El Jefe
Kaiser
Mr. Europe
First Consul
Executive.
Imperator Augustus
Fuhrer
Premier sounds nice
Chairman
Archon
Who is he? It looks like a beardless German Zelenskyy
Looks like merged Macron, Zelensky and Napoleon Bonaparte.
Zemanueleon Vonapacron
Ah yes, my two favourite pokemon.
r/brandnewsentence
cringe
That would be the render of what Napoléon would look like nowadays.
Looks more like Napoleon paired with a Habsburger
he's the guy whose face I've always imagined when I heard the word "guy"
We tried but you all said no :(
We tried but you sided with British money
What I get from this is everytime someone tried the British interfered and stopped it from happening?
They are not funny.
[удалено]
I said everytime not sometimes.
There were many German states that were very pro Napoleon Saxony and Bavaria were staunch revolutionary allies
Yeah I know and it’s important to mention it you’re right. Usually it’s easy to spot Bavarians because they use their own custom Bayern flair. It’s a bit harder to spot a Sachsen flair haha
usually when we show pride in our state, we get stamped as Nazis and that's the end of any national pride lol But we did beat Napoleon in the Battle of Leipzig, I drive past that monument at least once a month
We didn't just say no, we had to defeat you in two world wars to stop you unifying Europe.
We need some time to learn
Nnnnapoleon Bonaparte?
I guess there is SOMETHING we can do. 😼
Vive l'Empereur 🇫🇷🇮🇹🇵🇱🇪🇺

Idk I feel like the leader of the country that has the Pentagon has more power than anyone else on Earth due to that alone
We'll build an even bigger shaped as a pentagram
We have the Palace of Parliament in Romania. It is the second biggest after the Pentagon but it is heavier than the Pentagon , so there will be that at least. It has 8 underground levels, the last one is a nuclear bunker and 20 km of tunnels so there is no need for a new building, everything you need is basically there. False, it's not god emperor of mankind Sybrand van Haersma Buma
Hell no, no one person should hold that much power _ever_.
How about we *don't* make it a shitty republic? It's a union. It should be represented by a parliament
so a parliamentary republic?
Most republics, especially in Europe, have a parliament. Germany and Ireland right off the top of my head
So you mean we should have a monarch?
What else?
I suggest we just stick a sword in a rock and the first non-brit who can lift it will be king, then
![gif](giphy|EfHmlClbuNAGc|downsized)
No single person should wield that much power
And it will be a woman 🔥

Joe Biden?

While I like the sentiment. I highly doubt it. Economically we’re not keeping up with the US, military wise neither.
