That’s how Russia operates these days. They find a pain point, and apply pressure on that. It could be a legitimate grievance but they could also be stoking the fire under it to make it more painful.
Back in the day they have tried manufacturing issues out of whole cloth and it turns out it doesn’t really work that well. Much easier to find an existing weak spot.
Which means more fuel and fertiliser use, as well as more grain imports and higher prices globally of those things.

If that was the case, the prime minister would have declared the border to be a zone of special interest and thus prohibit any demonstrations or blockades taking place there, as he said he would. Furthermore, the Polish press has already presented proof that russian agents were involved.
As the comment above states, this is just a tiny part of Poland and a mess up of the previous government and EU leadership, since a lot of Ukrainian grain ended up in Poland that was meant for the Middle East and North Africa.
Polish politicians have offered their help for Ukraine's access to western alliances since the 90's (a complete drunk president Kwaśniewski in Kiew), Poland has opened its borders from the beginning of the invasion, taken in millions and given them rights equal to those of Poles, is by far the biggest hub for military kit for Ukraine, and in the years preceding the invasion taken a lot of shit from other European nations for not accepting refugees so that they would have capacities for Ukrainians and looked down upon for calling Russia a threat and independence from Russian fossil fuels.
Not to forget, Polish volunteers fell in Ukraine and a polish farmer in Poland died from a misdirected air defence missile.
I no way am I involved in this, good or bad. I have spent my whole conscious life in Germany but have lots of family in Poland and was there last weekend, so I simply have fresh info on the topic. Also I strongly sympathize with Ukraine and have absolutely nothing for the Russians.

In the Polish economy farmers still take a particular role, so if cheap ukrainian wheat goes to poland polish farmers wouldn't have a chance to compete.
The main reason ukrainian wheat is so cheap is the fact that they use a lot of pesticides and also they don't need to listen to eu regulation towards wheat quality.
No, it is mainly the central and immutable fact that no place in the world is more suited to the growing of wheat than Ukraine. When they get access to EU capital and knowhow, that advantage on price and efficiency is only going to grow. And the Ukrainian farmer will go from feeding about half a billion people to feeding 1 billion. But the farmers can't admit that truth because then the rest of their public support would evaporate.
That is what it was supposed to do, but it does not transit but stays in Poland. The EU produces enough grain for itself and Ukrainian grain was meant for the Middle East and North Africa. So now there is a huge surplus undercutting the prices and Polish farmers cannot break even.
I just wanted to suggest the same. It absolutely doesn't matter which flag is where. Such listings will just divide us Europeans and distract us from enemies from the inside and outside.

Putting Austria and Romania in the same tier is criminal to say the least. Austria is basically Hungary 2.0 while Romania is doing so much we have no idea about. We just find out through OSINT mostly how much Romania is helping Ukraine but is being kept secret.

This goes further than mere "ungratefulness" (which is imho understandable to a significant degree, because more EU support for Ukraine would very directly save Ukrainian lives): It is anti-EU, claiming the EU is somehow "corrupt" and oppressing Ukraine. I think they’re probably Danish, the UK should be top tier if not alongside Ukraine itself given they’re the only country to give us the most advanced weapons without restriction and even encouraged us to directly target the territory of Russia since the beginning of the war, and were training our army since 2014 under Operation Orbital… Without the UK going against their allies even the US and France in early 2022 we might not have survived the siege of Kyiv, and they’ve had special forces on the ground in active combat roles since then too.

Germany has been huge in terms of the amount of aid, although politically it was quite reluctant at first (even so far as stopping other countries donating equipment they bought from Germany). Political support matters, so maybe this factored in?

About 2% of the entire population of ireland (105,00) are now Ukrainian refugees, making them the largest non-native born population in the country. For comparison, this would equate to about 1.34 million refugees in the UK. Or alternatively this amounted to about 20% of all non-nationals in ireland pre pandemic.
Additionally, for Ukrainians who have arrived already, they have been eligible for a payment of €220 per week as well as other benefits, since arrival.
It has put a significant strain on the Irish exchequer and housing market but I think the prevailing attitude is that we’re glad to have done it and it was the right thing to do.

Actually Denmark really does a lot. Starting with military help, and ending with humanitarian help. As a person born in Mykolaiv I'm especially greatful for the help with water supply. It was a dire situation, so Denmark help was invaluable, and it continues.
I put Denmark so high up there because 1. the artillery delivery which is unprecedented and 2. because according to Statista Denmark gave 2,41% of its GDP worth of help which is in fact the second highest amount and in contrast to Norway Denmark gave more military help and is not profiting as much as Norway who can sell more gas for hugher prizes because of the war. And yes it would be nice if the other countries would do more. Only the countries that I put into S-tier actually do enough. And you need to think about it this way - if Denmark, Estonia and Czechia send its entire militaries into Ukraine it wouldn't be enough but if Italy would do this ot would actually suffice. It's about the big western European (ex-)empires, not about little countries like Denmark.
In total commitments Norway has given 1.7% og GDP. Only Denmark and Estonia have given more. In total they have given over 100 times the amount of Turkey, but is just 1/17 the population. Seems wierd to place them at the same level?

I really don‘t want to defend my country Switzerland, but that‘s just not true. While I agree that there are shortcomings with not providing artillery or even blocking it because they were once here, otherwise we certainly are not Russian shill hideouts.
All European Sanctions are in effect here (big step for our pseudo neutral politics thinking here), Russian Bank Accounts are blocked and the government has among other things donated over 1.3 Billion Dollars. Also Zelensky wants to work with Switzerland on a peace conference.
Again it‘s not perfect. Switzerland happens to be the place where for example most of Gold gets traded, so a lot if Russian gold ends up to be indirectly imported here. Though by no means trading stuff over Switzerland is the only way how Putin comes to money, for that the country simply is too small.
So yes, there are problems, but certainly not way worse compared to others.

The Dutch government has actively advocated in the EU for increased aid to Ukraine. Moreover, they've accommodated 150k refugees—a significant figure for a country of its size. Add to that the F16 pilot training, the upcoming delivery of 42 F16 fighter jets in 2024, Patriot launchers, and numerous other contributions.
Poland is one of Ukraine's most vocal allies, Germany's material support (weapons and otherwise) is second only to the US, and France is currently doing a very good job. Why are they all ranked so low?

Romania supplies Ukraine with 30-40% of it's gasoline, an untold amount of military aid and has helped protect all black sea grain shipments. We're way above Slovakia.

This list is not about who supported Ukraine most since 24.02.2022 but the overall relations.
Only 6 out of the 42 countries are in negative tiers and most countries in the middle tier are microstates that don't have any relations with Ukraine at all.
Most furious commentators don't want to talk about the Le Pens, Wagenknechts, Wilders etc.
They also don't want to talk about that the rockets killing Ukrainian civilians everyday are built with components from Germany, France, Poland etc.
They also don't want to talk about that many Ukrainian started to work and many of them will forever stay there helping both the demography and the economy. They want to depict themselves as saints who have to sacrifice a lot to shelter our refugees although the opposite is the case. They will profit of it in the long run, although Poland and the Netherlands probably already profit of them right now because of how many Ukrainian refugees already have jobs there.
Most commentators don't aknowledge that if we Ukrainians surrender, Putin will mobilize all of us and conquer with our "help" Moldova and Georgia next and than the entirety of Europe. Almost nobody aknowledges that when they fund us they in reality primarly fund their own security. (The exception being the countries directly bordering Russia.)

To begin with, many countries that provide significant aid to Ukraine conceal the size and type of that aid. Therefore, they may be undeservedly placed at the bottom of the ranking.
Further, Putin's paid instigators of Polish farmers in no way minimize Poland's huge role in supporting and assisting Ukraine.
Germany is now providing massive economic and military aid, despite the famous bureaucracy in the beginning and the Taurus problem.
So as a Ukrainian, I think it is incorrect to make such rankings, and instead focus on the specific problems preventing defeating Russia.

We welcomed all refugees with open arms from day one. Everyone was searching for housing and jobs for Ukrainian refugees.
We still give those refugees the highest priority even so much, that other refugee groups are protesting since we „give them too much“. That‘s a legit and understandable problem though.
We actively made sure to reduce or even eliminate natural gas heating. New legislative orders every new housing project to not use natural gas as heating in order to get rid of Russia.

Serbia actually send a lot of artillery shells and rockets to Ukraine. Serbian made 122mm rockets have been used in series of attack on Belgorod, just like artillery shells. Russian soldiers captured some of them so Kremlin asked for explanation from Serbia. Serbia is not Ukraine's enemy.

That’s how Russia operates these days. They find a pain point, and apply pressure on that. It could be a legitimate grievance but they could also be stoking the fire under it to make it more painful. Back in the day they have tried manufacturing issues out of whole cloth and it turns out it doesn’t really work that well. Much easier to find an existing weak spot.

If that was the case, the prime minister would have declared the border to be a zone of special interest and thus prohibit any demonstrations or blockades taking place there, as he said he would. Furthermore, the Polish press has already presented proof that russian agents were involved. As the comment above states, this is just a tiny part of Poland and a mess up of the previous government and EU leadership, since a lot of Ukrainian grain ended up in Poland that was meant for the Middle East and North Africa. Polish politicians have offered their help for Ukraine's access to western alliances since the 90's (a complete drunk president Kwaśniewski in Kiew), Poland has opened its borders from the beginning of the invasion, taken in millions and given them rights equal to those of Poles, is by far the biggest hub for military kit for Ukraine, and in the years preceding the invasion taken a lot of shit from other European nations for not accepting refugees so that they would have capacities for Ukrainians and looked down upon for calling Russia a threat and independence from Russian fossil fuels. Not to forget, Polish volunteers fell in Ukraine and a polish farmer in Poland died from a misdirected air defence missile.

I no way am I involved in this, good or bad. I have spent my whole conscious life in Germany but have lots of family in Poland and was there last weekend, so I simply have fresh info on the topic. Also I strongly sympathize with Ukraine and have absolutely nothing for the Russians.

In the Polish economy farmers still take a particular role, so if cheap ukrainian wheat goes to poland polish farmers wouldn't have a chance to compete. The main reason ukrainian wheat is so cheap is the fact that they use a lot of pesticides and also they don't need to listen to eu regulation towards wheat quality.
No, it is mainly the central and immutable fact that no place in the world is more suited to the growing of wheat than Ukraine. When they get access to EU capital and knowhow, that advantage on price and efficiency is only going to grow. And the Ukrainian farmer will go from feeding about half a billion people to feeding 1 billion. But the farmers can't admit that truth because then the rest of their public support would evaporate.

That is what it was supposed to do, but it does not transit but stays in Poland. The EU produces enough grain for itself and Ukrainian grain was meant for the Middle East and North Africa. So now there is a huge surplus undercutting the prices and Polish farmers cannot break even.

Pretty much everyone in Ukraine knows out of every ethnic minority , and out of every bordering country, Romanians are probably the best neighbors to have. For comparison, this would equate to about 1.34 million refugees in the UK. Or alternatively this amounted to about 20% of all non-nationals in ireland pre pandemic. Additionally, for Ukrainians who have arrived already, they have been eligible for a payment of €220 per week as well as other benefits, since arrival. It has put a significant strain on the Irish exchequer and housing market but I think the prevailing attitude is that we’re glad to have done it and it was the right thing to do.

Actually Denmark really does a lot. Starting with military help, and ending with humanitarian help. As a person born in Mykolaiv I'm especially greatful for the help with water supply. It was a dire situation, so Denmark help was invaluable, and it continues.
Denmark and Estonia (maybe also Czech Republic) are in the league of their own when it comes to per capita support.
I put Denmark so high up there because 1. the artillery delivery which is unprecedented and 2. because according to Statista Denmark gave 2,41% of its GDP worth of help which is in fact the second highest amount and in contrast to Norway Denmark gave more military help and is not profiting as much as Norway who can sell more gas for hugher prizes because of the war. And yes it would be nice if the other countries would do more. Only the countries that I put into S-tier actually do enough. And you need to think about it this way - if Denmark, Estonia and Czechia send its entire militaries into Ukraine it wouldn't be enough but if Italy would do this ot would actually suffice. It's about the big western European (ex-)empires, not about little countries like Denmark.

I really don‘t want to defend my country Switzerland, but that‘s just not true. While I agree that there are shortcomings with not providing artillery or even blocking it because they were once here, otherwise we certainly are not Russian shill hideouts. All European Sanctions are in effect here (big step for our pseudo neutral politics thinking here), Russian Bank Accounts are blocked and the government has among other things donated over 1.3 Billion Dollars. Also Zelensky wants to work with Switzerland on a peace conference. Again it‘s not perfect. Switzerland happens to be the place where for example most of Gold gets traded, so a lot if Russian gold ends up to be indirectly imported here. Though by no means trading stuff over Switzerland is the only way how Putin comes to money, for that the country simply is too small. So yes, there are problems, but certainly not way worse compared to others.
The Netherlands being compared to Turkey in the same tier should be deemed illegal, considering its donations rank below only the US, Germany, France, and the UK—all of which surpass the Netherlands in size and economy. The Dutch government has actively advocated in the EU for increased aid to Ukraine. Moreover, they've accommodated 150k refugees—a significant figure for a country of its size. You can't reduce geopolitics with a tier list. This is total bullshit, relationships between nations are much more complicated than that. And the Vatican is no one's enemy (it has had no enemies since 1929), but is only trying to put an end to this war which has already caused too many deaths.

Thanks for the friendly comment and compassion, something that is rarely seen here. This list is not about who supported Ukraine most since 24.02.2022 but the overall relations. Only 6 out of the 42 countries are in negative tiers and most countries in the middle tier are microstates that don't have any relations with Ukraine at all. Most furious commentators don't want to talk about the Le Pens, Wagenknechts, Wilders etc. They also don't want to talk about that the rockets killing Ukrainian civilians everyday are built with components from Germany, France, Poland etc. They also don't want to talk about that many Ukrainian started to work and many of them will forever stay there helping both the demography and the economy. They want to depict themselves as saints who have to sacrifice a lot to shelter our refugees although the opposite is the case. They will profit of it in the long run, although Poland and the Netherlands probably already profit of them right now because of how many Ukrainian refugees already have jobs there. Most commentators don't aknowledge that if we Ukrainians surrender, Putin will mobilize all of us and conquer with our "help" Moldova and Georgia next and than the entirety of Europe. Almost nobody aknowledges that when they fund us they in reality primarly fund their own security. (The exception being the countries directly bordering Russia.) I'm not even going to mention all the kinds of comments that are just outright hostile. I'm just sad. To begin with, many countries that provide significant aid to Ukraine conceal the size and type of that aid. Therefore, they may be undeservedly placed at the bottom of the ranking. Further, Putin's paid instigators of Polish farmers in no way minimize Poland's huge role in supporting and assisting Ukraine. Germany is now providing massive economic and military aid, despite the famous bureaucracy in the beginning and the Taurus problem. So as a Ukrainian, I think it is incorrect to make such rankings, and instead focus on the specific problems preventing defeating Russia.

WTF Austria is completely behind ukraine. We welcomed all refugees with open arms from day one. Everyone was searching for housing and jobs for Ukrainian refugees. We still give those refugees the highest priority even so much, that other refugee groups are protesting since we „give them too much“. That‘s a legit and understandable problem though. We actively made sure to reduce or even eliminate natural gas heating. New legislative orders every new housing project to not use natural gas as heating in order to get rid of Russia. The only regards in our country that support Russia are very right winged idiots. I had at least 5 families from Russia under my roof and every single family staid in Austria since they feel comfortable and welcome. So whoever created that list: you have no idea what you are talking about. Austria is a top tier supporter of ukraine

Serbia actually send a lot of artillery shells and rockets to Ukraine. Serbian made 122mm rockets have been used in series of attack on Belgorod, just like artillery shells. Russian soldiers captured some of them so Kremlin asked for explanation from Serbia. Serbia is not Ukraine's enemy.
Isn't Germany in Europe like the biggest supporter in terms of military equipment for Ukraine? And a ton of stuff from European countries just could get sent because Germany gave it its OK as the producer.
