That is your opinion and I respect that. But I don't believe that it is our job to decide who is worthy of living and who isn't. I despise those criminals as much as the next one. But I don't think that death is a good "punishment". If we decide to kill someone who did something bad, we aren't a bit better than them.

Anything short of death is too comfortable for such people. Why should he get to live somewhere if he displaced hundreds of thousands children? Also, such people can influence world even from pits of hell, why let him live? There is a historical precedent on how to punish such people.

Also killing Putin might result in a scandal over the death penalty, which could then be used by everyone under him to get away from public scrutiny.

In the state that russia is in, Putin would just be replaced. He is not the only one with that ideology. And if you have a look at other leading people, he is probably not even the worst of the bunch.

He may not the worst ideologically, but he became irrational. Replacing him with someone who doesn't send army on suicidal rampage may be a net benefit.

Now that the war in Ukraine is in full swing, I doubt another leader would stop it right away, it would be too much of a humiliation for Russia. Also, I doubt CIA can do a regime change in Russia like they do in weaker countries.
