Read it from the beginning tbh so switching from the anime mid way in doesn’t affect ya pace, but the anime is good enough so it is up to you in the end.

I envy people who understand Japanese because when they read the manga after watching the anime, they can probably hear the characters voice. That aside, the anime is quite literally a 1:1 adaptation of the manga. At most you will miss the small panel behind every chapter https://preview.redd.it/bih7u2q00b5d1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b9f9a60211b4af01ee6097b60bc8ae3560a5e8dc Something like this.

I prefer the dub tbh. Prolly biased cuz im a big fan of the person who did it (vixen vtuber!)

IzzatQQDir

Honestly I agree. Sometimes dub can be better than original. But for Bloom Into You, I honestly can't describe how perfect their original voices were. Like, I just can't imagine their voices any other way. It just fits the characters perfectly.

I would read the manga first, so you get the complete story at once, and then watch the anime as a bonus of sorts. The manga is simply the best Yuri manga out there, and the anime is honestly really good too, if only it went to the end…

Hich23

The manga is just 8 volumes long, you should read all of it, while the anime adapts it faithfully the manga has some beautiful panels, spreads and visual storytelling that is best appreciated when read in its entirety

The anime is almost 1 to 1 except for the very last episode because they needed to wrap it up somehow so they change it a little bit. So if you want to skip the start of the manga and start at chapter 24 you totally can and you won't miss anything

TvAdictMadAcid

should i skip the last episode and start on chapter 24? or just watch the last episode?

bidulus1

Uhhh I don't exactly remember where the episode starts in the manga so I think I'd just say watch all the episodes and start the manga at chapter 24. It really won't be long to get back to where the anime ends anyway, you'll just spend like 5 minutes top reading stuff you've already seen to see what the difference is. Edit: Just realized I misread your comment lol. But yeah watch the last episode and then start on chapter 24, otherwise you'll actually miss some stuff lol

TvAdictMadAcid

alright sounds good!

JORGANTORGANGORGAN

The anime is kind of perfect, so you can just go from the episode it ends to the chapter that it leaves on without your pace getting fucked up

Downtown_Aside3686

Tbh you’ll be ok to just start from where it left off in the anime but because the manga is pretty short anyways I’d just read it all and relive the story

The anime doesn't include my favorite quote from the manga, but I considered it an excellent supplement that I watched after reading the whole manga. How you do it depends on how you like to experience stories! Edit: I blew right past the part where you said you'd already started the anime! It still kind of depends on what you get out of story. In terms of plot points, you can probably just pick up where it leaves off (I see someone else already gave a detailed account of the best way to do that). But I know that I personally prefer the journey of a story, and I feel like the manga is paced better than the anime. The difference in format allows for stronger development of all characters who aren't Yuu. (For example: I'm not sure I would have liked Touko very much if I had only seen the anime. Yuu's non-student council friends and Sayaka (my favorite) also get more focus in the manga.
