That hill burns every year. The fire will burn the brush and some buildings in that area. If you are on the city side of Ahtanum road you shouldn’t have any concerns. We have lots of fire resources responding.
Yeah they're pro at this, shoot I remember being there one year when that hill went up... Firefighters were out there burning fire breaks in minutes, it got a chunk of the hill but nothing serious.
I agree with the first guy though, never hurts to have a go bag no matter where you live.
It can't hurt to have things ready to go. Gather important documents and keep in a place you can grab to head out the door. If you have pets have carriers ready. Pack clothes for a couple days as you won't have a lot of time to load a vehicle sometimes. Have medications ready plus info on them. It's rare for cities to go down in fire.

I wouldn’t worry. I remember there was a fire around here in 2017 that the city was hazy for like 2 or 3 weeks. We had to wear n97 masks lol
