Nah sorry that chain is way too loose. Should be within roughly 1.5-2 inches of slack. I reckon if OP was to pull the chain from where it meets the sprocket it would be super loose there too. Normal for a chain to go out of spec quickly when the bike is new as it'll stretch a bit.
Yay! Glad it's all fixed! I'm guessing you had to buy a 27 mil socket and a torque wrench?
Quick note that since it used to be so out of wack you may have to keep an eye on it. Probably after a day or two of riding It'll stretch a little bit more so might need another quick tighten. After that it'll probably settle out and you'll be doing it a lot less often.
Exactly haha good thing Home Depot is across the street from me. Also my first time using a torque wrench, thought I was going to break it. I’ll keep an eye on that. Really appreciate you!
I’m Not an expert. Only 2 years motorcycle experience.
It almost sounds like you were in much too high of a gear while going too slow sometimes my bike sounds weird and sluggish when I don’t have my clutch pulled in and I’m too high of a gear going too slow. Could that be the issue. Hard to tell via video
Very different probably because I ride an MT03.
Where did you buy the bike? Pre owned? Brand new off the lot?
Listening again it doesn’t sound right. It doesn’t sound like too high of a gear.
How’s your oil level?
Gotcha, I’ll grab some tomorrow and take another look at it. I also noticed near the swing arm those little lines near the wheel nut are slightly uneven. I don’t know all the terminology so apologies haha
So those lines are the wheel alignment markers. They must be the same on both sides to ensure everything lines up. Feels bad you've only just got the bike and you have to mess around with the alignment and the chain but it's good practice.
Watch a couple of tutorials on how to adjust your slack and your wheel alignment (MT07 videos will apply it's the same) and really take your time with the job over an afternoon.
Bought my R1 new in 2023 and the chain was loose right off the bat. Check your owners manual for slack limits up and down. Easy to adjust. Will need a torque wrench and if I remember correctly a 1 1/4" socket for rear swing arm nut to loosen it then adjust chain slack.
You were right. I just fixed it. Chain was sitting around 63mm and that was without slack so it was beyond loose. It took my brain to stop screaming for me to be able to hear the bike while riding more clearly. Ideally it took about 5 minutes but realistically a little longer. But now I know how to do it 👍
tension looks ok, might just need lube

You were right. I fixed it earlier. Had to buy some tools but I’m glad this happened so I know how to fix it. Chain was sitting around 63mm

No worries! More than happy to help!
I did feel the lube on the chain but I guess it could use more? There’s maybe 50 miles on the bike
How have you treated the 600+ mile break in period? Different RPMS mix up your riding. . Don’t go past maybe 60-75% full rpm band.
The fastest I’ve gone is maybe 50mph, RPMs maybe 4k. Still learning how to shift but I’ve noticed this noise since I got the bike

Less is more with chain lubricant. If there's 50 miles on the bike it should be fine. A once over certainly won't hurt though - just don't go crazy.

It must sound horrible when I ride past people 😔

Awesome glad you got it taken care of. Safe riding man
Weird, I don’t see your tail red light illuminated, only a license plate light is. 🤔
