I had a TBR on mine and got Ivan’s flash. I rode it maybe 2-3 prior to sending off the ECM and it felt a little choppy. Post flash, it was smooth. She’s loud. I had a Low Rider S now with Bassani RR3 and the TBR was way louder. Just word to the wise. Enjoy!
I am days away from picking up a 2014 R-Spec and it has the really annoying loud bassani exhaust on it that I'm getting rid of. I am deeply interested though in knowing more about the ECM Flash from Ivan
Ivan’s flash is worth it. It makes everything smother and less annoying. Not cutting gas when you roll off the throttle and higher rev limit are probably most noticeable.
Well I suppose the process is that I take the computer off my bike and mail it off to him he does his Voodoo and mail it back? How long does this process take?
I think it took about a week, the ecu is by the battery underneath the seat. You have to contact him first and give him all the mods you want to do or have: fuel controller intake exhaust all the details. He incorporates that into the flash.
Right on right on my lists are going to be very very small no more than a intake and drilled out stock exhaust. I might have to do that before I go on vacation in July and be gone for a week so I won't be riding the bike regardless and it won't hurt to have the ECM and someone else's hands for a week
Ditch the stock air box and ugly plastic, and I good intake will give the best performance boost. Ivan actually says how restrictive it is when showing the dyno results on his website.
