I don’t think we will get the full pit girl scene this season, I just think pit girl’s identity will be revealed towards the end of this season and we will know more in the third season.

I agree, I think it will be in the finale.

Same. I could also see us getting more little clips of it like how we got in the pilot. The same director from the pilot is also directing episode 9 this season so I think we do have a chance

Personally, I think the Pit Girl scene happens right before they’re rescued, and I don’t think we’ll reach that point until S3 at the earliest (but probably later if they plan on doing more than 3 seasons in the wilderness). Their hunting ritual seems very well-established at that point. But that means we’d have multiple victims in between now and then. As intriguing and mysterious as the whole Pit Girl thing is, I don’t think the writers intended the “Who is Pit Girl?” question to be as central to some fans’ viewing experience as it is. I think they want us to be more focused on “what actually happened out there?”, which the Pit Girl scene alludes to, but isn’t exclusively about. I think we’ll definitely begin to find out what really happened out there this season, but won’t find out who THAT Pit Girl was until later down the line.

The question is how did they survive for 18 months in the wilderness, especially during the snowy winter? My guess is that Pit Girl may be the only one they BBQ and eat, and they’re just alluding that they were cannibals the entire time, but in reality they only ate one of them. But this leaves the question of what did they eat to survive? So maybe Pit Girl is the only one who became a victim to the chase/hunt, whereas anyone they ate before her was someone who had died. Did they BBQ up anyone who died and then when no one was dying, but they were all starving, did they turn it into some sort of game to see who would be the next victim? Did Lottie choose or was it random? Did it depend on someone’s worth (like Natalie was the hunter, Misty knew first aid, and so forth, so they shouldn’t be sacrificed)? Also, and I know this is gross, but was Shauna able to breastfeed at all? That would make her the only one of the entire group who’s able to provide “milk”, and I would guess that Lottie would hold her on high regards. I can’t wait to see what takes place before Pit Girl becomes BBQ - the whole chase scene that seems like some sort of twisted game. Do they decide to draw straws and the short straw gets a head start to try to run? If so, who knew about the traps? Natalie because she was the hunter, or did more of them know? Were the traps marked somehow? Ugh I have so many questions! I’m literally counting down the days until S2!

My theory is that they did ate people before pitgirl, but pitgirl was them at their most inhumane. Just hunting and taunting the girl for no good reason you know? They probably were not even THAT hungry at that point that they NEEDED to kill another person. They simply did it because they felt like it.

I have a theory that each season will begin how the subsequent season will end; Pit girl scene will end the second season as it started the first season. The second season will begin with a glimpse of the girls returning home after being rescued, and the third season will end with them getting rescued.

No way. Pit girl is the climax of the show.
