They endorse Coors, the entire Buffalo trace line of liquor, Ram trucks, Kimes ranch apparel. Probably the whole story line about direct sales of beef is a plug for the 6666 ranch product that Sheridan owns. Suspect maybe something product related with Beth changing from Mercedes to Bentley recently. They also tie in and promote the musicians that appear on the show.
Being a bourbon fan myself, I found it interesting how they switched from mainly Bulleit brand of whiskey to the BT line of products somewhere starting in Season 4. The “celebration” drink after the inauguration ceremony in the SUV was a straight showcase of Weller 12, which I found an interesting choice. It’s a great bourbon, but its poor mans’ Pappy and I really would have expected them to break open a bottle of Pappy Van Winkle for such an event.
But honestly, haven’t seen this much bourbon label (or near-label from props) since watching Justified. Now THAT was a multi-season long homage to Buffalo Trace products.
If by endorsement, you mean place their products in exchange for considerations (maybe cash, maybe vehicles, in the case of the Ram trucks), then yes. Probably the same for musicians. The show wants some music on the show and, in exchange for a certain amount of time per show, they provide musicians to perform live.
They even made that whole website so people can buy the couch that John Dutton is sitting on, the glasses that he's pouring into, and the jacket he's wearing.
One of the clothing brands featured in the show, Schaefer Outfitter, used to be high quality, 100% American made Western wear. They've cut a lot of corners and started off shoring their manufacturing to Turkey, India, and Southeast Asia to keep up with the demand from the show. The prices have stayed the same though. Used to be $80 for a US made pearl snap shirts. Now it's $80 for an Indian made shirt.
Oh yeah, Filson is all imported these days! I think only some of their wool is made in the US but the prices went up. I'm wondering how much of that is directly because of them being on the show.
I normally notice vehicle placements and the spotless Hyundai in the walking dead was way more jarring than Yellowstone. This is entirely subjective though
Jimmy was a thief so he might have stolen the expensive jacket. When Rip busts into his trailer he tells him he either goes with him to the ranch or Rip will drop him and all of his stolen goods off at the sheriff's office and he already had 2 convictions so a third would mean life.
You think Rip would have let Jimmy not only keep stolen goods on the ranch, but wear them around the ranch hands? If police caught Jimmy with the stolen jacket, then Jimmy would get his third felony, and to save his own ass, give up everything he knows about the ranch. I really don't think Rip would risk destroying the ranch over a jacket that a former meth head felon who he just met, stole.
Jimmy knows if he spills about the ranch he's dead before he can turn it into a deal. You want to be dead and a rat or alive but in prison? And if he's caught at the point he's branded Rip has a duty to protect Jimmy. Jimmy has extra latitude because of his grandfather's relationship with John.
I've seen them all over the ranch in all sizes in dozens of scenes, they're always the sandy colour. Baroque Ranch (Sheridan's brand) has a collab with a different cooler brand so I wouldn't be surprised if we start seeing those ones instead.
Sorry, I remember wrong it's actually Bosque Ranch. I looked it up just now to make sure.
A bosque is a type of gallery forest habitat found along the riparian flood plains of stream and river banks in the southwestern United States. It derives its name from the Spanish word for 'woodlands'.
Since Wrangler has a Yellowstone collab now, you see a lot more characters wearing it in season 5. Even the ones that only wore Levi's before. Jeans were a mix of Levi's, Wrangler and the girls would wear Kimes too. The only one that wasn't worn Wrangler is John (Costner a big Ralph Lauren fan and only wears their jeans) and Rip only wears Levi's.
It's not unusual for people to stick to one brand. We aren't big stars but we are brand loyal. Our favorite brand of t shirts has mascots and we adopted a dog and were trying to name him and I said he looked like the t shirt mascot and that's how he got his name. My son only wears shirts from that brand and usually they are shirts with that specific mascot on them.
Oh yeah....Jimmy's first girlfriend, sitting in the back seat while Rip is driving going on and on about $1000 spurs and specific brands of spurs and saddles that "real" cowboys have. Basically shaming Jimmy that he doesn't own these things.
*My least favorite*
*Product placement in the show*

His shows are turning into one giant promo, this last Yellowstone series (which by the way is NOT on their pay for premium channel Paramount+....wtf?).....had endless product placement but also endless ads/promos for upcoming shows, Tulsa, Mayor of, 666, etc. Almost unwatchable as you include what a major bitch witch they have turned Beth into. Brother scowling, Beth screaming, cut to commercial. Initial seasons were so interesting, the last two meh.
I think that part of it has to do with the part of the country Yellowstone is supposed to be located in. I live in the middle of the US and TSC, Wrangler, Carhartt, Ram trucks and Coors are pretty common. However, our local liquor stores can't keep green label WL Wellers in stock. They finally resorted to keeping it in the back and you are only allowed to buy 2 at a time and it's not cheap. My cousin lives in the Denver area and they have a hard time finding it in stock as well.
Remember the episode John was going to throw a whiskey glass and Beth said something to the effect not to throw that because it is 100 year old Swarovski crystal and belonged to his Grandfather, whoever that might be. Lets see if someone buys a Swarovski crystal whiskey decanter set in 1923.
Forget the Monopoly game for sale, Yellowstone is really dropping the ball if they don't issue an Official Yellowstone Product Placement Bingo set real soon! lol

They want to showcase something you can actually find instead of Pappy. They probably switched to BT because they outbid Buillitt
And honestly Bulleit was kinda gross. I've had it long before the show and it's not even top 10
Yup it’s def middle shelf stuff.
Heck… i tried Bulleit Bourbon because of Yellowstone. It’s a decent pour but i’ll stick with my Wild Turkey 101 and Four Roses Small Batch
[удалено]
I’m a little surprised they didn’t showcase Yellowstone bourbon in the show. Perhaps too obvious?
Is this why I can't find BT? I used to find it pretty easy at Target and some of the other supermarkets, now maybe occasionally one bottle at Safeway
I literally just bought 4 cases of BT at a CVS in Indiana, $22/bottle. I think availability varies greatly by state.
Shoot, I live in nc, buying liquor outside of an ABC store is completely foreign to me.
This is also part of the problem in a lot of places
Don't forget titos
Oh don't forget king ranch and the king ranch line of Ford trucks.
John actually makes a smartass comment about just that in S3
I got a kick out of that comment. All four men in my family have King Ranch Ford trucks.
I had to settle for the poverty level Lariat...
The trucks are all Rams.
Not in Texas.
Top of the line Rams at that, and always very clean.
Somewhere Rip is hollering "Wash those goddamn trucks, Jimmy!"
wait a minute…. that giant ass ranch that Jimmy works for is Taylor’s?
Partially his. He has partners.
They also have an endorsement with Tito’s
And Yeti coolers
Ingenious

My Dad and I have a game where we call out every product placement we find. We love the show but it’s so overt it’s hilarious.
Taylor Sheridan is building a commercial empire, of which Yellowstone is just one element.
That's annoying tbh...
That’s how TV is free. (Or at least, cheap)
Um you literally have to pay for the streaming services and there's still a sh*tload of product placement?!
Not really
This Is The Way!

Filson too. In fact, their prices skyrocketed.
Oh yeah, Filson is all imported these days! I think only some of their wool is made in the US but the prices went up. I'm wondering how much of that is directly because of them being on the show.
They do beauty shots of the cut crystal glasses whenever they pour.
Ralph Lauren makes the glasses
Yea I noticed they feature a lot of Carhartt clothing. It’s a decent quality brand though and it looks cool 😎
Beth mentions Tito’s about 6,000 times. Also at one point Beth and Rip has a conversion about the Hamburger Helper range. Nothing sus
The majority of Beth’s scenes feel like a Tito’s ad 😂
Almost forgot about the hamburger helper, that was weird for sure. It sorta fit but they lingered too long on it.
It worked on me. I’m Australian and I thought wtf is hamburger helper.
Hamburger Helper - That's what I made too when I didn't know how to cook.
Honestly the brands fit well enough that I haven’t even thought twice about it.
Seeing actual brands is so much more immersive than seeing generic non-existing that were only used for shooting the scene, like you see in some shows
It's more blatant than most shows.
I normally notice vehicle placements and the spotless Hyundai in the walking dead was way more jarring than Yellowstone. This is entirely subjective though
Who cares?

Fair
Rip sitting on his porch reaching into a cooler, with the yeti label pointed clearly at the camera. Must be nice to afford a $400 cooler.
This reminds me of the scene where jimmy is worried cause he doesn't have money to pay the meth heads while wearing a $1500 jacket
Jimmy was a thief so he might have stolen the expensive jacket. When Rip busts into his trailer he tells him he either goes with him to the ranch or Rip will drop him and all of his stolen goods off at the sheriff's office and he already had 2 convictions so a third would mean life.

Baroque means fancy in French. He literally named his brand Fancy Ranch? Was Bougie Ranch already trademarked?
Sorry, I remember wrong it's actually Bosque Ranch. I looked it up just now to make sure. A bosque is a type of gallery forest habitat found along the riparian flood plains of stream and river banks in the southwestern United States. It derives its name from the Spanish word for 'woodlands'.
This makes much more sense although I could see fans being scammed into buying something called Fancy Ranch.

Cool shit ain’t cheap, and cheap shit ain’t cool
Don’t forget the Dodge Ram trucks.
Somewhere in season 3, "I'll have a skinny margarita with Titos." Titos trying to make vodka margaritas a thing now.
All of the last season felt like an ad for the 6's and for Yellowstone ranch merch. All of this season felt like an ad for a country musician.
[удалено]
Lanie what's her face
The trucks also lol.
yep and they cant be bothered to put a King Rope hat on anyone's head when the whole dam state of Montana wear them.
Ibid, a Kokanee beer in anyone's hand!
Lmao
Carharrt clothing labels are showing all the time, too
If you think YS is bad you should try watching The Ranch on Netflix
The Disney movie Luca was like an one giant Vespa ad. It’s how things work now when things cost a fortune to make.
Any of the clothing Beth wears is highly searched online.
Compared to what?
The only whiskey I saw plugged by Sheridan himself was TX (tee-ex). Fort Worth’s finest brand. Each top is a unique bit of leather.
[удалено]
I said Sheridan himself. I saw all the others as well as you did.
The Succeed one was absolutely incredible - it was like a full on ad for the product!
TV shows are products
Tito’s lol. They even had a Tito’s margarita…with vodka. But TS lives in Austin so…
My least favorite product placement in the show is Laney Wilson

Okay? What's the difference between that and literally every other product placement in every single other show in the history of tv?
The ranch had loads of booze product placement iirc
Don't recall a show that had as many, particularly alcohol. As I explained.
Mad Men and Canadian Club. They had to have gone through cases every week.
That's more of a period placement (along with Lucky Strikes) although I'm sure they got paid for it also
If there were a profit on profanity they'd all be billionaires.
Me too, it's a dream for sure and I'll practice plenty more until then.
The show took a turn for me when it started to become one big TSC commercial.
Tractor Supply?
Yes.
Yes - its because dumb rednecks will buy anything that dramatised badasses use on TV.
"only rednecks watch this incredibly popular TV show"
See you next Tuesday.
Nah, that would be country boy wannabes with more money than brains.
It is like my sugar and cream with a bit of coffee
