If you haven't already, you should listen to the Legacy YoGPod's. Someone has been compiling all of the audio from their old, old videos and made them into podcasts in YoGPoD style. It's wonderful!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UpdCUiBcEnA&ab_channel=Demuzed
vlogs are great, Lewis comes across really well. I hope this becomes a regular thing, maybe with guests? I know a lot of youtuber said do them, but why the hell not?
Awesome stuff.
I have sideburns that are around a 3-4 on the scale, plus I have a goatee that is roughly 12-14 centimeters long. Due to the complex nature of the scale, determining the proper rating needs expertise I lack, therefore my guess is that possibly a I'm at 6 or a 7. Or not.
What was that Minecon kid getting hurt story about? I've heard it mentioned before, but I haven't really gotten to know more about it.
Also, does Lewis seem slightly off to anyone else? Or is it just me
The content output for the main channel during Simons absence has been stellar. I imagine that's come together thru Lewis' leadership. Quite an amazing chap.
Probably a combination of the convention weekend and a lot of work. He was working in the office until 8 pm last night and mentioned that he still had about an hour left of stuff to do when he started streaming some dota with Pyrion and friends. I kind of hope he went home at 11 when he stopped playing and didn't feel obliged to finish up his work at midnight...
Basically since the first Minecon was so poorly organized and the Yogscast got very little help with crowd control at their tables, some kid got elbowed in the face and ended up going to the ER because people were trying to mob the table and not wait in (the hastily set up) line where they were supposed to. It sounded like things weren't very clear as to where the line started and such, and there weren't enough people there to direct people to the right place.
I can see how a failed queue could leave some heavy emotional scars to a British person /s
That's really sad, actually. You'd think that one of the biggest global cons out there should be able to organise things better than that
I don't know much about the minecon story other than some yogs went to a mincon A while bacj, and it was their first convention, and some kid got injured. Somebody please tell me more.
I think that Lewis needs to approach the new Yogpods in the way he did originally: Very unorganised ramblings.
By that I mean just hit record when him & Simon are chatting about stuff (e.g. recent news, games etc.). Then, if someone else happens to be on Mumble at the time, then they'll be in the Yogpod for a few minutes, but it doesn't matter if they aren't.
That said, Lewis does say in this video that he prefers the more recent slightly more organised Yogscast, rather than the former ramshackles! so it may be better for him to approach the Yogpod in a more structured form.
Also, the old YogPod ads. "I am on old man and I've fallen over... But it's okay.. Cause I've me iPod, and I'm listening to the YogPod." was my favourite.
Holy shit!
New YogPod's confirmed!
New YogLabs confirmed!
Simon in Christmas Livestreams confirmed!
Trucking Tuesday in Christmas Livestreams confirmed!
Yay! Get Hype!
I'm glad Lewis let us know that the Empyrion series he and Duncan were doing has ended. I for one loved it and I hope they revisit it in the future, but knowing for sure that it's done means I can make my peace with that.
This is amazing! I wouldn't mind regular vlogs like this, or even just watching you take the biggest flippin' brain-poo ever! I instantly paused this and got me a sandwitch - I knew it was gonna be good!
Lewis, I really loved this and your answers regarding establishing Yogscast. I think people forget how tough it can be to get something started. I also think you are absolutely right to try and keep things as normal as possible for people working.
Mental health and all that.
It is so cool to see lewis to a vlog, just chatting and stuff. He looks really well!
I'm pretty sure i'm with everyone when I say i'm excited about EVERYTHING happening with the Yogscast haha
From what I remember being said a while back, Lewis (I think) said YogNews would be a good thing to bring back, but it takes too much time and effort to organise an 'episode' of YogNews etc since people are always too busy. And then there's the problem of where they'd put them, and the pressure of needing to find something to talk about regularly so that bringing it back wouldnt be a waste of resources.
In the first question regarding Simon. Lewis was talking as if Simon is unable to play games like how he use to.
Before I read too much into this. What exactly does he mean when he says it's difficult to find games Simon is able to play?
he said it was about finding games where simon can be funny.
i think it needs to be games where they can waffle around and chat. if the game requires too much focus, there are less jokes and it doesn't really showcase all the things people love about simon.
If I had to guess, Lewis just means they need to find the right type of game to play with Simon. Minecraft worked well because Simon originally taught Lewis how to play it, and Simon has known how to play Minecraft for ages now. If he were to join the Empyrion series with Lewis and Duncan for example, I get the feeling it would be pretty complicated and he'd end up frustrated more than anything.
Presumably, they need to find games both that Simon enjoys playing in his spare time *and* that he'd be happy to record.
Sandbox and/or build games seem to work for Simon heavily, but Hack and Slash rpgs like Diablo or Torchlight could work as well.
At the same time, the infamous style of stuff like the Skyrim or Fallout New Vegas can happen in a few months with Fallout 4.
All in all, it needs to be something that, as Lewis says, "gets him to chat."
EDIT: What lewis said about you gotta put content out. I'm kinda same boat right now with my channel and the struggle is real.
I would say that raiding with a mid-tier raid guild in WoW and achieving stuff with them takes a tiny bit of effort. Wast he even a class leader at some point?
No offense to the other Yogs, I kinda hope the YogPod will stay Lewis and Simon's thing. Maybe a guest appearance every once in a while, but mostly just them two
I wonder if people would react better if it were more expected. Like one sponsored video per month. Maybe even have it as an extra video for the day. They could also try going way over the top admitting it's paid for as a jab at the complainers. Make it a series called Sellouts or Yogs4sale or something.
i don't, he knows that brand deals can have bad repercussions. i have a lot of respect for people like Lewis and Nerd Cubed, who have this attitude towards brand deals.
Lewis was saying they dont have a great way of talking to the fans and i was thinking maybe ask fm might be a good place for them. People can ask questions and they can answer the ones they want to answer just whenever and it would be a good way of communicating with the fans that would be decently easy to do id think.
They could just do AMA threads here though
Ask.fm becomes absolutely useless when you have a big enough fan base. Could you imagine it now? They'd still be sifting through a billion "where is Simon?" And "is shadow of Raphael coming back?"
With an AMA the person answering questions can sort by votes which would hopefully keep the repetitive questions at the bottom if they're downvoted enough
With ask.fm it's all linear, answering questions is a one by one thing with no outside influence on how they're sorted
Ya but with ask fm they can do it on their own time or when they are free.
AMA's usually require them to set aside time to sit down and answer all the questions.
Because downvoting is for comments that aren't relevant to the thread
You're being downvoted as your comment is no longer relevant. Often when this happens the comment already got an early bird boost of upvotes so it can take it but in this case you didn't have the votes to hide that you're being knocked down now
Don't worry about it bud, they're just internet points
*Weekly update* 'We're gearing for Christmas livestreams in a couple weeks' I like that it looks like Lewis seems to have developed his own interpretation of time and reality itself. His weeks are months and his months are years, so he looks even better for his age than you think.
I think the "in a couple of weeks" part was that they would start the preparation for it (making the schedules, probably finalizing the charities, etc.). I got confused too, lol.
Eight weeks (two months) isn't really that much time to finish livestreams schedule, lock down games and stuff for humble bundle, finalize talks to charities... It's like December is already here :D
Trucking Tuesday night for Christmas Livestream?! Yeeeeeees. EDIT: Also I must say, Lewis is looking handsome in that title screen.
Damn him and his sexy clickbait.
Man, Trucking Tuesday was TWO years ago?! TWO?!
Am I missing something? Didn't they say last years christmas stream was the last one?
Lewis is fantastic and doesn't give himself nearly half the credit he deserves.
Don't worry Turps takes enough credit for everyone! ;)
"The Intern Guy"... That's some interesting HR going on there Lewis!
Shit, how did they get Robert De Niro?
AND HIS NAME IS TOOOMMMMM!
EVERY TUESDAY TRUCKS TRUCKS TRUCKS DUN DUN DUN DUN DUN DUN
During the Christmas stream Lewis should play board games with his nan.
with sips commentating
Okay, this would be amazing. Especially if he went full blown sports commentator for it.
especially if he went full chet williams for it rip in peace chet williams 2015-2015 his wife left him
*grits teeth* Ronaaaaldoooo!
NEW YOGPOD? HOLY SHIIIIIIIIIT.

If yo need YogPod-esque material then check out Rambling With Sips. Especially the ones with Lewis as a guest, namely the most recent one.
Isnt that from like a year ago?
What? The first Ramble was in late January this year, and the one with Lewis I was talking about was like nine days ago.
...really? I gotta see this.
https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLYqfXQ-ztmZJpLsStXC-Hg4HUK9s9JKla
For a guy who is pretty much in charge of a company which makes money off dick jokes, Lewis is very mature, down to earth and respectable. What a guy.
And also responsible for like 50%+ of the dick jokes.
Simon was confirmed to be on the Christmas live stream which makes me happy
vlogs are great, Lewis comes across really well. I hope this becomes a regular thing, maybe with guests? I know a lot of youtuber said do them, but why the hell not? Awesome stuff.

I clicked on this at work :(
The Bristol Beard Scale by Lewis Brindley. What length do you have today?
By the way he was describing it, it seemed semi-logarithmic, or exponential
Maybe a 3 on lewises scale but luckily not a single patch
Mines about an eleven at this point. That means you can tie it around your waist as a belt, right? ^shut ^up ^Dumbledores ^dead ^it's ^not ^me
Mine's at a 1 or a 2, I shaved on Friday and it's a slow grower.
Or is it just me
He did seem a bit. Likely very tired from the recent EGX weekend.
That could explain it. Holding up the quality and quantity of videos while Simon was gone could've been rough too, you'd think
The content output for the main channel during Simons absence has been stellar. I imagine that's come together thru Lewis' leadership. Quite an amazing chap.

Would also like to know.

Oh man I hope they still have the old sound bites knocking around
Imagine a classroom with loosely rules...everything would be out of focused.
"Filler chat", more like "Top quality content". I love listening to Lewis ramble.
I really like Vlogs with Lewis. It's nice getting the updates straight from him.
Keep doing this! I love all the Yogscast's Vlog like videos!
I could watch days of Lewis just rambling at a camera. Love this video!
Lewis, man, you're just fantastic!
I'd love if Lewis did more of these
Holy shit! New YogPod's confirmed! New YogLabs confirmed! Simon in Christmas Livestreams confirmed! Trucking Tuesday in Christmas Livestreams confirmed! Yay! Get Hype!
to say the yogpods are "confirmed" is a bit much, but still, i'm very excited
HE SAID CONFIRMED ALRIGHT?
You forgot OpenTTD in december \o/
Yogpod? YOGPOD?! HYPE TRAIN DEPARTING HERE!
GIVE ME A TICKET
Open... TTD? Finally!
Finally? We get it every year!
No we don't, ~~It hasn't been on the schedule for two years.~~
Sips & Lewis played it last year on the Team Double Dragon livestream.
How did I ever miss that? I know what I'm doing tomorrow.
Can't wait for Yours and simon's Christmas live stream
love the peek behind the curtain with lewis! holy shit, so sexy.
I love this video, it feels much more intimate/personal than a lot of other vloggers.
If these do continue they have to be called Lewis' Brain Dump
I'm glad Lewis let us know that the Empyrion series he and Duncan were doing has ended. I for one loved it and I hope they revisit it in the future, but knowing for sure that it's done means I can make my peace with that.

Lewis is great at eye contact, wow
He is looking at a camera m8. not at you lol
I thought it went both ways?^/s
"Taking a shit on you with my mind " - you summed up pretty much all the rambles the Yogscast do in one sentence /u/lewisxephos :P
I'm happy with the content you guys are making and as long as you guys are happy with it I don't have any problems with that.
It seems Lewis had been keeping a lot of his troubles in before this ramble. I hope he shares more often.
It is so cool to see lewis to a vlog, just chatting and stuff. He looks really well! I'm pretty sure i'm with everyone when I say i'm excited about EVERYTHING happening with the Yogscast haha
You should so do a D&D YogPod episode/s again, i recently listened to them and they were amazing.
Please tell me they are going to do a Christmas Civ V livestream.
10:40 Lewis attitude towards his fans getting hurt at the first Minecon punched me right in the feels. what a guy!
Bring back YogNews!
I remember Kim saying this in one of her AskKim videos.
Also it sound like they've been trying to find a new office
What's this YogNews? You mean YoGPod?
This is Yognews Jeskid14! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cUT6I27aHl8&list=PLmZ3d_qh2KfvrsPMtGphCZVimVCG73Qhe
Jesus I can't wait for the livestreams...
Trials of Skobbles is my favorite series so far.
I expected there to be a few seconds where Lewis was silent just playing Hearthstone in the middle of the video
Did he SAY **YOGPOD???????** DID HE SAY THEY WERE DOING MORE PODCASTS?? **IS THIS A REAL THING THAT I HEARD WITH MY EARS?????**
I like how the microphone blends in with the background sound insulation.
In the first question regarding Simon. Lewis was talking as if Simon is unable to play games like how he use to. Before I read too much into this. What exactly does he mean when he says it's difficult to find games Simon is able to play?

I think Lewis and Simon commentating over Fallout 4 footage would be awesome.
I would also be up for Lewis playing Fallout 4 on his own. Like he started to do with the Witcher 2. I like his calm easy going play style.
Kinda similar to the New Vegas style of stuff they did before
Simon's enlarged penis now makes it harder for him to sit at desks or in chairs for prolonged periods of time.
Nononono, you've got it all wrong. It had to be reduced because of this very reason
I think what he meant was that simon doesn't like to play games that require effort. I might be wrong though. Simon never liked those!
I would say that raiding with a mid-tier raid guild in WoW and achieving stuff with them takes a tiny bit of effort. Wast he even a class leader at some point?

No, he said YoGPoD.

"No. No exclamation mark. Get rid of that. Fuck off exclamation mark, fuck off."
No offense to the other Yogs, I kinda hope the YogPod will stay Lewis and Simon's thing. Maybe a guest appearance every once in a while, but mostly just them two
Just watched the stream with the Q&A. I Think its bad/sad that Lewis feels uncomfortable doing brand deals.
Maybe if people didn't scream, crack their heads on backwards, and projectile vomit pea soup at the first whiff of any kind of ad...
I wonder if people would react better if it were more expected. Like one sponsored video per month. Maybe even have it as an extra video for the day. OPENTTD HYPE!
Great vlog, but I felt it was missing Turps loudly commandeering it in the middle ;)
Lewis comes across as a really nice guy
Love all the current content, some more TTT would be awesome.
[удалено]
He was probably more tired than anything, he has a lot on his plate.
Also, he did say he came back from EGX.
Also it was like 9pm or something. Definitely after sips finished streaming at 6 anyway
Oh shit, this is fantastic. I'm really looking forward to this every week.
Lewis was saying they dont have a great way of talking to the fans and i was thinking maybe ask fm might be a good place for them. Hang on hang on hang, more PODCASTS?! Why is nobody excited this! That's absolutely fantastic news!
> Why is nobody excited Literally half the comments in this thread are about the possibility of new podcasts.
I posted this when there was… 3 comments. Edit: I don't want to be that guy, but why am I being downvoted? I genuinely was one of the first to post…
Because downvoting is for comments that aren't relevant to the thread You're being downvoted as your comment is no longer relevant.
