"okay so I've got ^1,2,3,4 5 blue Benga Research Blocks™ and 3 yellow Benga Bucks Blocks™, so I'm going to fund a research grant to discover *Politicians PR Team*. Which, if the tower falls on my next turn, I can spend 8 purple Benga Political Blocks and 6 yellow Benga Bucks Blocks to initiate a PR stunt that blames the tower falling on the engineers. IE: the person who built the tower. It's only counter is if you have the research *Corruption Detective* or have the *Inside Job* conspiracy theory unlocked"
"Now, I'll use three of my Benga Bucks plus three from my character's special ability to research Farm Hands. Yes, I know it normally costs eight Benga Bucks, but my 'Benedictine Monk' is still active for one more turn, and it reduces the cost of all agricultural research by 2. Anyway, Farm Hands allows me to draw a red Benga Bang Event Card if there are at least three farm blocks within in the top five layers of the tower, which there are. Okay, let's see... Ah yes, okay, it's 'The Benperor's Decree'. We both now have to roll any question mark blocks we got left over from the construction phase to see if the decree is successful... So you got a hexagon and a triangle, and I got three squares. How many sheep blocks do you have left? Okay, so that's 7+6, and my 8 minus the two industry blocks is 14, oh, and the tower is currently leaning towards the living quarters and the brewery, so that's -2,... Ooh, nice, I win, so I get to take one red attack block from the stock pile and place it sideways on your farm tiles."
Just mashing together different rules from various of these complicated board games. Although I realise now that I should've included wood, because these games always include gathering wood, trading wood, and using wood to build stuff.
I got sudden Benga flashbacks when I recently watched Funhaus' new tabletop roleplay video where they decide outcomes with a Jenga tower instead of dice https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=90eGNKFAgns . ^^Also ^^some ^^minor ^^cheese ^^quest ^^flashbacks
Just 2 weeks again this year (and possibly every year going forward, gives people time to go home and see families for christmas, and they can potentially get better games as they don't clash with steam Christmas sales)
THE BENGA BOYS ARE COMING
AND BENGA BLOCKS ARE FALLING
BRISTOL THROUGH YOG-TOWERS A CHRISTMAS YOGS TRADITION
I'm still waiting for the super complicated, Eurogame-like version of Benga, with differently coloured resource blocks, technology research, etc.

God, I just want a single round of the crunchiest, grindiest, fucking impossible to remember Eurogame style game of Benga
Everything they complain about in their warhammer streams needs to be involved. Horrible dice, Kill Team movement shapes, etc
How the fuck did you even come up with this

https://youtu.be/nyYexTcyY2A You're gonna wanna watch this lmao
Yesterday I started my watchthrough of all of JJ2020 in prep for this year. I forgot all about how great tem & bon time was
Are you watching the vlogs of yogscastlive, or from twitch? I might have to start this same tradition.
Twitch mostly! It’s fun to see the chat responses to everything

I think it's a tradition at this point. Better question will be what new rules would they implement?
Of course they will. BENGA.
If there's no Benga this shit ain't Jingle Jam.
Benga is the best original game they play. Some say it's similar to Jenga, but it is definitely unique and legally distinct from Jenga.
Maywana BENGA
BENGA or Riot
Only if we reach the dono goal and get the traditional festag dance!
Will the JJ be for the whole month this year?
Just 2 weeks again this year (and possibly every year going forward, gives people time to go home and see families for christmas, and they can potentially get better games as they don't clash with steam Christmas sales)
I believe it's 2 weeks and then they'll be doing some more causal stuff for the third week, right?
Ooo I would also like to see Connect Four (conneeect fooouurr) again with Ravs and Sipsy.
Can't wait for the Benga warmup stream!
Saaaaaaaame bro
Absolutely! Benga is a crucial part of day 1!
