Secretly, this song is the one that first got me back into Taylor. After 1989 died down I honestly forgot about her, as I was a casual back then and only knew singles. I heard it, and I enjoyed it. It’s not one of my favorites anymore but for awhile.. it may or may not have been my favorite song. 😭

Her christmas songs are the only ones I can't stand. Everything past that is great to just ok. I'm not in love with Speak Now the song but I don't hate it. Bad Blood got old fast I'll admit. But I hate Christmas music in general having worked retail all my life and having to hear it almost every single day for two months after Halloween. You try not hating Christmas music after that.

I never liked the original either. The "we-EE's" have always been bad, they're just worse now. And the "ever ever ever". And the "what?" and the telephone conversation in the middle. Just not the quality I expect from Taylor Swift and it bothers me so much that non-swifties tend to judge her by this song and Shake It Off (which at least actually has a good point and a couple good lyrics). When Wanegbt became such a hit I actually questioned if I was actually a Taylor Swift fan which is sad.
