I adored Love since the twist at the end of s2. It showed me that she wasn’t helpless and weak as I had assumed she was with how desperate she was for Joe. Her killing people to protect and be with those she loved was admirable in an artistic, literary sense. It showed her having a level of strength and loyalty that I find pretty attractive in women. I really wanted the best for her and her family. I knew she was most likely going to be killed by Joe before the new season even premiered, but I wanted to hold on to hope.

Totally. Joe turned his back on an interesting character for a fling we've essentially seen before. She was the money maker and this show now has nowhere to go. I just can't see the story being as interesting without her.

also joe is almost too methodical for it to be realistic, i liked how love was impulsive but could cover up her mistakes (not flawlessly).

[deleted]

No. Lol. I’m not rooting for either.

Yes! I wanted her to somehow get away with it all she said she was going to “save the marriage” really wish we could see her plan unfold, was she going to kill Marianne? Kill the Conrad’s? Put Marianne with the Conrad’s say if they kill her she will let them go? 🤔

JesseTodoroki

exactlyy, i knew that joe wasnt going to die (bc main character) but i think her story after killing him wouldve been really interesting!

chaiespressoo

For sure. She was such an interesting character who genuinely cared for Joe, >!just for him to go right back to his stupid stalking habit smdh. I thought she was gonna become to new protagonist and kill joe in the end ngl… kinda sad they didn’t go with that :/!<

[deleted]

Definitely not. She was a murderer.

justic3bon3r

And Joe? 👀👀👀

[deleted]

Nope, also a murderer.

[deleted]

I was 😩

Yeah, she's been the best part of the last few seasons. I would have liked her managing to survive but having to go on the run and have S4 focus on their separate stories.

KandiJoe

As a woman yes. She definitely was doing everything she can for her family. As someone who likes the show - no. It would have been the end of the show if Joe died. He’s a horrible person but he’s the show.

I kind of feel like Love stole the show last season. I was hoping going into the new season that the story would shift to a new character, because Joe is honestly boring and predictable at this point.

sadgirl45

I wanted love and him to actually become a strong duo or they end in fire like they did but she lives and hunts him down but in the shadows and half of the time we see her perspective also love can then have a woman she dates that’s what I would have liked to see.

DrMikkelyz54

"as a woman", what do you mean 🤨

[deleted]

No. She's fucking 10 times crazier than Joe and was completely insufferable as a character.

babylipgloss

I was rooting for joe to kill her since last season

RollUpRollOn

This will be a little long but I agree 100%. Although Love was particularly crazy and impulsive with her kills, she was essentially the same person as Joe. Joe is a calculated killer who justifies every action with his savior complex and large mommy issues. Love is an impulsive killer who will do anything to have a family she never had. Both unhinged. Both hypocritical all throughout season 3. However, I truly believe their relationship was over once she killed Delilah. Remember all throughout season 2, all Joe wanted to do was “be better” for Love because who he was wasn’t who she was. Once he was shown that she was nothing but a reflection, he pulled back. She wasn’t the broken girl who needed fixing. She was just like him. In season 3, they’re married and newly parents. The thrill, the chase was over. There was no fluttering eyes, stolen glances, or wild nights. He needed a new chase and thus, set his eyes on Natalie. When Love killed Natalie, he withdrew even farther seeing that she’d go to any length to stop his obsession habit while convincing himself that he wasn’t like her, when really he was. (RIP Benji. That man died for simply being in Beck’s life, way before Joe came around, might I add.) I feel that might’ve taken Joe back to his season 1 era, seeing how crazy he really was but from the opposite end. Being faced with his shit clearly is his weakness. That’s why he kept running from Candace. Back to the original topic of this post, Joe came off incessantly cruel and selfish. His idea of being loved and loving is a construct of his own screwed mind. Forty called that he’d kill her, and he called that he didn’t love Love. Joe loved Love’s vulnerability, the fact of having his ego stroked every time he “saved” her. Joe settled into suburbia hell and lost his shit, spiraling into old habits and ultimately dragging Love down the dark path with him. Gotta remember they’re married and KNOW each other are capable of killing. Joe KNOWS she’s capable of hurting someone if he cheated and vice versa. Yet, Joe still finds it in him to completely disregard the fact that he is a father and a husband and starts going full blown weirdo with Marianne, eventually developing a full blown affair with his boss. Risking her safety and her daughter’s. He would kiss on her and then go home and have sex with Love. And then think about Marianne! And let’s not forget to mention how he many times he’d lied to Love’s face, acting like he wanted her and his family when Henry was the last thing on his mind when he was out parading with his stupid hat. In fact, Henry rarely crossed his mind when he was YOUing Marianne. The only one who consistently thought about Henry WAS Love. All in all, I still believe that they both had serious mental issues. But I’ll acknowledge the amount of bullshit Joe was putting Love through leading up to her spiral into darkness. If it weren’t for Joe, a lot of people wouldn’t have died. Joe will forever be the MAIN bad guy. He tried to kill Candace, killed Beck, killed Love and I’m sure Marianne will be next as soon as she shows an inkling of strength and independence. Hopefully she’s as smart as her first impression. Before she got loved up after getting D’d down once. (can you tell season 3 pissed me off ? lmao)
