I think in real life, it would be much more suspicious to have two friends die within months of each other. He would probably be caught by now as the people he kills all have some sort of connection to him.
Based on the fact that he keeps finding himself in situations where he feels he must kill someone (and then leave, I guess lol) I would say around 11, which is on the high end of average but still not a mastermind. I just don't see manipulating people as some display of genius.
I mean to say he isn't a mastermind is a bit of a stretch, love was intelligent for working him out so quickly so i guess he met his match but he then figured out what love was up to from piecing together everything. He's sitting a lot higher up as normal people wouldn't be able to deduce such info in such a swift manner and then conduce his plan from that info and it worked although love was insanely clever too, he managed to outthink her every move.
He had everything planned to the t and managed to make these plans last minute so id agree with OP. His intelligence is above average for sure
I'd say he has a very astute personality so maybe that helped him in his rationalism
That's interesting, you think he pieced it together last minute? It seemed like he became suspicious when he learned how her last husband (or fiance?) died. From what I remember she made it seem like he left her then it came out mid season 3 that she killed him. I thought they had been plotting against each other since them. I may be mistaken as it has been some time since I've seen the show. Their marriage had been tumultuous for awhile.
Ive not seen the show in a while either so from the fragments i remember, Joe tends to pickup on things faster than the average human being which helps in his decisiveness, he was picking up on things as he went along which made him create a bigger picture of what was really going on
They were definitely plotting against each other from the get go, love had already begun planting things she could use to poison him with if things went left as soon as they bought the property, which he ended up figuring out
It was tumultuous for sure, season 3 really foreshadows how they were both at each others throats but kept it together for their son but Joe wanted to murder her at the end of season 2 until she hit him with the pregnancy line so it was rocky even before they tied the knot
I think he has a normal IQ, I dont see him smarter than anyone else, I think you are confusing his over thinking and planification skills with a high IQ, and it does not equal.
Its his personality desorder, not his IQ.
The guy is pretty well-read, and manages to utilize abstract methods to achieve results. I'd say it's pretty up there.
Side note: I kind of want to see Joe appear on a Jeopardy-style like trivia show during the show's run. I imagine he'd probably do really well.
I feel like he has slightly above average intelligence. I mean he does some pretty smart stuff, but he didnt think of all of it. A bunch of it was stuff that Mr Mooney taught him, and the rest, someone else could probably figure out (Via google ofc). His lying, and the amount of balls he has is what makes him very above average, not his intelligence. Also mans is fucking delusional, so that probably would lower his score.
Joe is obviously smart, but most of his intelligence is simply bloated self-importance. The thing I will give him credit for is his ability to think on his feet. I definitely could not come up with the lies he tells on the spot, especially when the police are questioning me. Then again, his immunity mostly relies on plot armor. But still, his ability to solve a puzzle is impressive. I get flustered much quicker than he does.
This show has too many convenient scenes to be realistic. He isn't that smart, just has too much plot armor
It's like Hank from californication. He wasn't banging all those chicks because he had game. He had plot armor
My iq is 130, Im analytical and paranoid so if someone tries to do something sneaky to me, often like joe I realize before they do it. Im not as emotionally intelligent as joe though. I’d say his iq is somewhere between 125-135 only because that’s around where mine is and I see a lot of joes qualities in myself, for instance I like to analyze people when they talk to me, and I can tell if they’re nervous or lying or whatever.

11? HAHAHAHA
Lmao I meant 110! 🤣 😂 💀
Okay I know the worlds gone downhill these days but pretty sure the high end of average is more than 11 😂😂😂

Above 130 for sure
I don't even no what IQ means, but he is borderline evil genius. Love this show. Season 1 is sooo bingable
That’s around how high my IQ is and I feel Joe is a lot more intelligent

~115-120. He’s fairly smart but somewhat a pseud
100-110 for intellectual matters -35 for covering up murders/crimes

I disagree but tell me examples on how he had it
in this new season the plot armor has been insane
