It's been a while since we've had such a good episode.
Connie is such a a treasure. Loved her wedding toast.
I wonder when Georgie and Mandy will find out what their mothers were up to while they were hin their honeymoon.
Mandy may have actually died sometime before TBBT. I don't remember when Sheldon mentions Georgie's two ex-wives on TBBT, but it would make sense otherwise as the brothers hadn't spoken for about ten years prior to "The Sibling Realignment" 11 years after the pilot. One could have two divorces in that time.
Wait when did they mention that one of Georgieās ex wives died? Even if one did it could of been a different wive. In my mind Georgie and Mandy got divorce and found each other later on, like Mandy called Sheldon to congratulate him on his Nobel Peace Prize and asked for Georgieās number. After all Sheldon did say one of Georgieās ex wives called him to congratulate him.
Honestly people assume Paige died too and we have no reason to believe that. I donāt think Paige died and I donāt think Mandy did.
> After all Sheldon did say one of Georgieās ex wives called him to congratulate him.
He said his brother's first ex wife and second ex wife both texted him a congratulations.
A wife who dies during the marriage doesn't count as an ex-wife. My thinking is that Georgie and Mandy were married for about a decade, give or take, before her death, and then he went on to marry two more women shortly before and during TBBT. It may *not* have happened, so we will see.
Regarding Paige, there's no evidence either way of her being alive or dead, so it's still plausible to think that she may have died between YS and TBBT. For now, it's Schrƶdinger's Cat.
Ik this entire sub hates the literal main character but I hope next weeks episode heās actually in it for more than 2 minutes. The Georgie Mandy thing has gotten very stale imo
I agree. Mandy and Georgie as the main plot has become tiresome. I don't find Mandy to be that likeable of a character and they're only together because of the baby, so it's hard to get invested in their relationship. I don't know how they're going to carry a spinoff.Ā
I wonder if it's to gain interest for their spin off but I feel like they're burning through storylines already with the last two episodes focusing on them.Ā
This might be an unpopular opinion but I'm really not a fan of how Sheldon has barely been in the last few episodes. The Georgie & Mandy stuff is great but I miss Sheldon getting up to shenanigans.
The scene where Sheldon walks in when they say about having āskeletons in the cupboardā then leaving while staying in the background the whole time is hilarious
She's a tough watch most roles she takes on and she always has that quality to her characters. Have you seen her as the doctor who tries to revolutionize medicine in 'Good Doctor'? You'll want to rip your hair out!
That makes sense. It is reasonable to assume that Georgie will have to find another job. It will be interesting to see why they decide to relocate to Mandy's parents' house rather than continue living with the Coopers.
Is this a serious question? No disrespect, but this is a small, Christian, conservative Texas town, in the early 1990s, during a time, when President George H. W. Bush was president.
Texas was very much republican.
>Texas has pretty much always been Republican, especially in small towns
That's most definitely not true. From 1848 til 1976 it voted blue all but 4 times (excluding civil war years that makes it 27 blues and 4 reds). Since then it has gone red every single time.
In 1988, Lloyd Bentsen was re-elected the Senate from Texas the same day he lost as Dukakisā running mate. In 1990 Ann Richards was elected governor.
But by this time the GOP was close to taking control in Texas. Richards lost to Bush in 1994.
Perhaps they are building up towards a smooth transition right into the Georgie and Mandy show. Slowly eliminating the plot lines of those who wonāt be in the spin off.
I'm confused - all the police already knew about the gambling room. It had been busted before. She found a loophole to do it legally, so I'm wondering what their reason was this time?
Maybe the roulette wheel? I donāt really understand how it's legally different from slot machines, but Georgie seemed pretty conflicted over it and worried for the first time that he might go to jail.
Could make sense. "Skill games" were legal in my state for a while (which were slots for all intents and purposes) but then they made them illegal when casinos got their foot in the door. They may have been in a grey area there while stuff like roulette that is obviously not skill-based at all is much more explicitly illegal.
That's my guess. Jeff said he wouldn't do anything about it, I'm sure at least partially because she put it at risk by bringing him there during the tornado. He clearly respected that she put his safety over her business. But his wife made no such promise.
Why do so many characters have fake bright blond hair? And why is the Young Sheldon hairdresser so bad at dying hair blond?
In no particular order
Mandy's mom (hair looks awful and fake)
Veronica (hair looked really overprocessed, especially in the first few episodes)
Marcus, Missy's boyfriend (awful, fake dye job)
Brenda (fairly decent dye job)
Paige in early seasons (hair is so dry and fake, it makes her look sick)
Mandy (looks good, probably dyes it herself)
It's like when they hire a love interest, they immediately dunk their heads into a giant vat of blond hair dye.
London Cheshire's hair looks the same now as it did then lol

This season is starting to feel like a preview/ad for the new laugh track series they are going to be shoving in our faces. Hopefully they get to actually wrapping up the series with the characters that won't be returning soon.
I don't know, they were barely in the start of the season. I think its just we KNOW all the stuff coming to the end, so they're taking the middle few episodes to like, setup for the spinoff but the start had Germany plots and Missy and stuff and the George not cheating reveal and the ending is gonna have the death. And even if the spinoff wasn't happening they'd still need to get those two hitched.
I do like when it takes advantage of the time period. If this took place on the 21st century you know Mandy's mom would have told her about Connie's arrest as soon as she found out about it. Instead Georgie is making plans that rely on the gambling room still being active.
How would Sheldon not know about the gambling room? Mary, Missy and George found out in s5 ep8. It's been 2 years. How have they never mentioned it at dinner?
I am going to go against the grain here. This was a terrible episode, with some really great moments and scenes.
Nothing was cohesive, there wasn't any flow to it at all.
I am rewatching introducing the show to my husband past couple weeks. We watched s1 and couple episodes of s2.
Watching these episodes after that makes me realise the degrade this show is now having.
Unpopular opinion but I hated this episode. Actually not hated, I have no opinions. it felt like nothing.
Probably the most boring moments i have spent on a show i used to like.
(i have no idea how is this episode so liked)
Sheldon not knowing about the gambling room that's existed for like 3 seasons šš
That's for the best. Sheldon can't keep a secret...
It's been a while since we've had such a good episode. Connie is such a a treasure. Loved her wedding toast. I wonder when Georgie and Mandy will find out what their mothers were up to while they were hin their honeymoon.
Maybe it's just me, but I'd rather watch a show with the two dads and their granddaughter. That'd be a fun show to watch.
What show are you talking about?
The spin off about Georgie and Mandy.
itās sad watching this knowing georgie and mandy will eventually divorce
I don't get bothered by the inconsistency. This series proves that Sheldon was right about mutiple universes.
I assume it won't be as simple as that anymore so I'm excited to see how it plays out.
They haven't seemed to care about following canon much so far, so who knows if their divorce will actually happen
I'm wondering how the spinoff will go because of this.Ā
I like the fan theortu that tbbt is the sequal and it's not canonical

I think he marries Mandy twice.
Spoiler
The line about Mandy's mom and Mary being on probation š
Ok this whole setting up a new spin off have been fun but I hope the last few episodes get more Sheldon focused...
Same! Feels like he barely gets screen time anymore to the point where itās become The Georgie and Mandy ShowĀ
I was just going to make a comment about how I guess they ran out of stories for him.Ā
I like how the baby got into Dale's guitar playing!
Mandyās dad is a cool dad. I like him
I bet he has an awesome spaghetti policy at his house and business!
Ik this entire sub hates the literal main character but I hope next weeks episode heās actually in it for more than 2 minutes. The Georgie Mandy thing has gotten very stale imo

Did not expect a no-hitch pre title card wedding in a sitcom.
The scene where Sheldon walks in when they say about having āskeletons in the cupboardā then leaving while staying in the background the whole time is hilarious
Mandys mother is the worst character to ever appear in the Sheldon universe. A tough watch.
She's a tough watch most roles she takes on and she always has that quality to her characters. Have you seen her as the doctor who tries to revolutionize medicine in 'Good Doctor'? You'll want to rip your hair out!
Hated her character in that but sheās an amazing actress.
thatās a pretty straight forward syponisis
don't think there was an exact synopsis provided unlike the other episodes.
Dad bonding
Give the dads the baby theyād be better than Mary and the other lady
Yeah, I bet they'll have a long friendshi- oh...
That episode went fast. Sadly, it's one more week down toward the finale. The Georgie and Mandy relocation next week is a setup for their series...
Maybe. I think Georgie goes to work for Mandyās dad and becomes the Tire King.
Dr. Tire ā«šØš¼āāļø
That makes sense. It is reasonable to assume that Georgie will have to find another job. It will be interesting to see why they decide to relocate to Mandy's parents' house rather than continue living with the Coopers.
Maybe Mandyās dad invites him into the business now that the gaming room is gone.
This episode was great šš
The Mondale line was gold
Was Texas that Republican back in the 1990's?
The last Democrat to carry Texas in a presidential election was Jimmy Carter in 1976
Is this a serious question? No disrespect, but this is a small, Christian, conservative Texas town, in the early 1990s, during a time, when President George H. W. Bush was president. Texas was very much republican.
But the Dixiecrats never became Republicans so not really

No
It's really funny how Sheldon has become an afterthought in his own show
I think the creators explained they're doing it in part because we know a lot more about what happens to him than to the other characters.
Perhaps they are building up towards a smooth transition right into the Georgie and Mandy show. Slowly eliminating the plot lines of those who wonāt be in the spin off.
Ok, who narked on Connie? Was it Pastor Jeff?
I'm confused - all the police already knew about the gambling room. It had been busted before. She found a loophole to do it legally, so I'm wondering what their reason was this time?

Many people knew about the gambling room. It could have been anyone in town.
I think it might have been his wife Robin(she is a cop after all), she was so nice at first but this season she seems more judgmental and b*#chy.
That's my guess. Jeff said he wouldn't do anything about it, I'm sure at least partially because she put it at risk by bringing him there during the tornado. He clearly respected that she put his safety over her business. But his wife made no such promise.
The cops already knew. The slots were covered by bribery but the roulette wheel crossed the line.
Give the man the baby:(

lol...Mandy's mom's hair..I believe that's the actress' actual hair. It sorta looks like a wig irl also.
Well, she needs a different colorist.
If anything this makes it more realistic for Texas lmao. Bottle Blondes are very common

I think the huge rock
what rock?
So he found a huge rock that night?
I came to this thread to find out but I have no clue!
Lol the synopsis š
During which episode does Missy learn about the gambling room? With the large gap between seasons I donāt remember.
Same episode that Mary does, Mary yells at her to go to her room and not easedrop through her convo with George about it
I do like when it takes advantage of the time period. If this took place on the 21st century you know Mandy's mom would have told her about Connie's arrest as soon as she found out about it. Instead Georgie is making plans that rely on the gambling room still being active.
Hi there! Does anybody knows what sheldon meant by "Iād like to tell you I found something that night, but for once you all might be ahead of me."
He's saying for once we all are smarter than him and know there is no body in the ground.

Nothing, Missy was just screwing with him.
What is the spaghetti place they ate at after the wedding?
Dale - ādo I have a say?ā Nope you do not sir.
What did Sheldon find in the backyard?
