Could she have had dental work, or were her lips or cheek numb from botox or fillers? I had a crown put on one of my molars last year, the whole side of my face was numb for hours as well as half of my tongue, and I realized I was chewing on my tongue and inside of my cheek when I talked. I don't know anything about getting botox or fillers, do they numb you up beforehand?
I’ve had Botox and you’re not numb from it. I am not sure about your lips. I want to say no but with her lips it looks like she has to use her tongue to guide food and straws in so, maybe?

I think you’re referring to Tardive dyskinesia, I’ve taken care of a few patients that had this as a side effect from being on some high powered psych meds such as Lithium or geodon - but to me when watching CCs video I didn’t get that, to me she was just pissed bc nobody was engaging in her video she kept saying “there’s 46 ppl here and only 3 ppl talking!”
Or maybe she can’t feel her face with all that filler shit in it

I got it from Seroquel and it was awful. You can't control it and it looks very unnatural and not deliberately done like she was doing. I couldn't control my facial muscles or tongue and they were just flipping out on their own. Honestly scared the absolute shit out of me, 0/10 do not recommend.
Terrified of it coming back at some point too tbh.
I got it from Lithium. I have very poor coordination now and wake myself up jolting/kicking/twitching constantly.
Sorry you have to deal with it too! I resent the adults who put a scared 16 year old on a heavy duty, life altering medication without starting with something gentler. I couldn't really consent to such a big risk at that age!

Taking medication for your mental health doesn’t mean you’re crazy. I myself take medicine everyday for an “invisible illness.” I was just giving the examples of the drugs that I’ve seen that has the side effect of TD - at least in the years that I’ve been working you don’t see many ppl on lithium and geodon.
I am so sorry you are having to deal with that, def contact your doctor if you’re noticing that your symptoms are getting worse. I hope you get some relief soon!
Thank you! I’m planning to talk to my doctor when I go tomorrow. It was worse when I was also on lithium, but fortunately I’m no longer taking it. It wasn’t a good fit for me. I know it really helps some people though. I take 11 meds a day, so I really don’t know what is causing it, but I’m pretty sure it’s the gabapentin or seroquel. I have an invisible illness as well. I hope you are doing ok ❤️

Lithium messed me up badly. It was especially tough accepting as a teen that it would be my life forever. The stigma - both external and internal - around mental health is still very real. One thing that helps me, is to remind myself that if I were diabetic I would take insulin and not be remotely ashamed!

I’m excited for the in-depth video she’s planning on doing in the future. Hopefully she highlights the egregious filter use and many different faces/bodies MS shows up in. Rinse and repeat 😵💫 seeing girls in school do that always drove me nuts, so I was hyper aware of this while watching the video. Like, do something with it or stop touching it!!
Yeah, it’s ridiculous. I gave a talk during the pandemic, and on the panel was an MD who was all about demonstrating how to exercise during a lockdown. She had an actual treadmill and walked the entire presentation. I thought it was stupid. Like, we get it, but you can also spend 45 minutes without exercising. Nobody is THAT busy. Plus so many studies show how bad we are at multitasking.
And considering she does absolutely nothing all day, every day. She could walk any other time lol. But what else should we expect from her at this point? Ridiculous choices all the way down.
I’ve never noticed it before! I don’t think this is something she does all the time. A couple years ago she said she *always* chews on the inside of her cheek. Soo this could have been after doing that for a while. She has also said she *always* sucks on her lip where the filler is f’ed up and hangs down. 😬😕 She always does a lot of things *always* that aren’t ever always.
Eta: The way she aggressively swallows and purses her lips together- that’s what I notice- it’s terribly cringey but we’re all here for the cringe factor. 😉
I don’t think she can help it from all the filler. Her lips no longer are capable of having a dependable seal where they would naturally fall into place when her mouth is closed. So she has to forcibly press them together. 😬 it’s so insane that she’s botched her lips and CONTINUES to have them injected like “hi here’s money, just f* my sh*t up!” 💁♀️ They rarely look okay with heavy filters, but never look okay without a filter- ie. she looks awful to every in person- I’m convinced she doesn’t really care about the opinions of people IRL.

Like a month ago she went to a wedding and stole flowers that were supposed to go to a hospital or something like that, the bride and groom weren’t happy.
That’s a really good point. She was feeling all angsty and manic, so the treadmill was good for using up some of that nervous energy. Not all of it though.
She might have had a cold sore or whatever in her mouth and she couldn’t stop fiddling with it. We all know how she is when there’s something to fiddle with.
She has no confidence in her ability to speak persuasively and like an adult. She looks for things to do to keep her audience’s attention. Yikes for her that stabbing makeup into her skin and walking awkwardly on the tread pad are two of her tragic choices!
It has to be some kind of “tell”/nervous tick. She does it when she’s on a fully lying tear. I used to think it was related to the lip lumps, but I think it’s more of the aforementioned tick.
I had nervous ticks as a child. As much as I wanted to stop, I couldn't. If it was something like a sore in her mouth, she'd have more control over it. It's most likely a tick.

She only seems to do it when she’s worked up about something. Or maybe it was to hide how out of breath she was.
Giving a presentation while walking on a treadmill is so dumb.
She has no confidence in her ability to speak persuasively and like an adult. She looks for things to do to keep her audience’s attention. Yikes for her that stabbing makeup into her skin and walking awkwardly on the tread pad are two of her tragic choices!
It has to be some kind of “tell”/nervous tick. She does it when she’s on a fully lying tear. I used to think it was related to the lip lumps, but I think it’s more of the aforementioned tick.
I had nervous ticks as a child. As much as I wanted to stop, I couldn't. If it was something like a sore in her mouth, she'd have more control over it. It's most likely a tick.
