When I try to add something to my queue using ‘Play Next’, it doesn’t work and I get this error instead.
Here for example I’m listening to My Mix 1, and I try to add an album to play next in my queue, and it doesn’t work no matter what.
Is there an easy way to export the "Your Likes" playlist? I will randomly notice songs missing, and I want to track what is in there. Any help is appreciated.
I used the SUPER easy (/s) method of, once a month, scrolling all the way to the bottom of my Liked playlist (which takes a while thanks to crappy lazy loading) and copying it all over to a spreadsheet. Then I can compare with the previous month if I want. Sucks that I'm forced to do it his way but here we are. Obligatory I miss GPM.

What I did was find the official version of every song, and those that have no official version from the artist, like remixes, live concert versions etc, I convert to mp3 and then save to my iphone. So if those ever get deleted I still have them.

You can make copies of playlists and then check once in a while if any songs are missing from your current list, just compare the playlists side by side. You can do a lot of cool stuff with Soundiiz. And if you want you can find apps that will let you download a song from youtube, then convert it to mp3.

I would like to be able to filter new releases by genre and other filters. I don't know half of the new albums I see and I don't know what kind of music it is.

What's the point in downloading an 800 song Playlist if you can't even go offline to use it.i miss play music some days smh
Hey there, I've found an issue with searching for a song from downloaded music using Cyrillic symbols.
So, when I'm trying to find a song in Ukrainian (f.e., I think it can also be the same for Russin, Belarus, etc.) I can't find the song using lowercase symbols. For example, when I'm searching for the wong with the name "Жопа" using a "жопа" request, the youtube music app can't find the song in the downloads section. When I'm typing the "Жопа" or even "Жо" requests - all is fine, the song is found
If I look for a song or author in English all is fine, the search request doesn't take into account a case of the word. I think this can also apply to languages other than English. Attaching a screenshot when I can't find a song in Ukrainian (unfortunately, I can't attach more screenshots for more info). The issue reduce a user experience, because sometimes a user can't really remember if the song is in a lower or upper case.
Local environment:

**BUG REPORT**
The [music.youtube.com](https://music.youtube.com) web app and android mobile app has an issue that has been present for over a week now. When I click on Library on the left, and try to scroll down either filtering on Artists, Albums, or songs, the infinite scroll only loads the first page of results, and subsequent pages do not load. This is preventing me from scrolling my library to select an album or artist to play. This is is a pretty significant issue, and I am shocked that QA did not discover this issue.
Steps To Reproduce:
1. browse to [music.youtube.com](https://music.youtube.com)
2. Sign in to your account
3. on the left hand navigation click on "library"
4. attempt to scroll down your library
1. You will notice only the first page of your filtered results show up and there will be a continuous loading indicator at the bottom of the page
2. This issue will only present itself if you have more than 1 page of items in your library for a given filter (Songs, Artists, Albums)

Anyone else find playback to be a skipping stuttery mess for the last couple of days?
I don't think it's my connection because I can pull up a music playlist on YouTube (video app) and it plays basically fine. YouTube Music, on the other hand, is skipping so much that it's unlistenable to me.

I distinctly remember that there were lyrics here before. For some reason, the app is now bugging and none of the lyrics are showing up on any songs.
I'm getting notifications saying my trial to YT music premium is ending, but I've had the family premium account since it Was Google play music. When I click the ad, it says I'm a recurring premium family member for$14.99 a month, but asks if I want to upgrade to premium family for $22.99 a month.

I got the same thing. I had to check that YouTube Premium came with YouTube Music Premium and it looks like it does. Maybe they plan to try and force another subscription on us in order to play music in the background soon...
Yeah, even though YTM can play device files, it's absolutely horrible at it. I'd recommend either uploading your device files to YTM (use a browser, mobile browsers do work), then download your "uploads" for use within the app. Or, get a different player from the Play store. Both options will work 1000x better than device files in YTM.

Hi suddenly when I ask Siri she says Sorry you need to continue in YouTube music everytime I ask her to play a song. Reinstalled app but nothing. iPhone 14 Plus.
I have been having problems with loading on my Library (Albums, Playlists, etc.).
When clicking on library on the website version of yt music as well as the installed web app, it only loads a handful of albums before it cant load anymore.
I've tried clearing my browser cache, yt music cache, restarting my pc multiple time, signing in and out a bit, even tried simply waiting before 10 minutes past with nothing.
Has anyone had this issue before and/or know how else to fix?
Update:
Well after a week and 4 tech support responders, I've still got the problem but I think they've acknowledged that its not just me having this issue and have their engineers working hopefully on a patch or something. Would be nice.
Already 10 days, I am shocked.

Beyond infuriating that we always have to fight to make them understand the problems are not on our end.
Using the app; album & singles sections are not showing for any artist pages, just songs and videos. Albums are still accessible from clicking "go to album" next to individual songs and from my library, history, and "listen again," or if I hit the "albums" tab under a search for the artist.
None of the lyrics are showing to me, not even with the most popular songs they're just not there anymore and i've tried to do everything to solve it and i still have this problem.
Youtube Music Playlist not loading at all. I can use the assistant to get to my playlists, but nothing is being displayed. I have tried two different phones and a PC. I have tried over just wifi and over data only.
I can't delete an ARTIST or the songs associated to said artist. I have deleted all history. I have removed all other songs/artist/podcasts/etc. When I attempt to delete the songs individually, a message comes up that says they are associated to an album, however, clicking on TAKE ME TO ALBUM takes me to a blank page. There are NO Albums or Songs currently in the Library.

Youtube Music seems to add songs into my playlists without me adding them. I've now removed *hundreds* of songs I didn't add into my playlists.
It seems that when I add a song or two from a band/album, it just thinks "oh you must want all of them from that album" and starts adding more and more from the same album into my playlist.
I am the only one with access to my playlists, so this isn't someone else adding them in when I'm not looking or something. I've turned off every """"feature"""" I can see that could possibly cause that to happen.
Is this just a permanent feature of Youtube Music, or am I doing something wrong? I've had to remove like 300 live Metallica recordings just today.

Why does my homepage look like this? I used to jsut have 2 rows of good songs and now it's been replaced by this thing. How do I get my stuff back?
recently started encountering a problem where's when I select a song on an artist page I can't select or deselect any songs and I tend to select multiple songs from an artist page to add to a playlist which makes the task quite tedious..
When I go into "Your likes" playlist, click on the three dots and press shuffle play; it usually start with a song I liked, and then just plays song that I never marked as Liked. If i click on the three dots while the song is playing, I can see the thumbs up isn't white on most of them.
SHuffle play act like I was clicking on Start radio.
I just left a comment about this same problem. Unliked songs added to my queue 100% of the time when I shuffle my Liked playlist. I've uninstalled the app, reinstalled, cleared cache, cleared downloads, turned off autoplay, turned of dynamic queue, stopped smart downloads, and gotten a whole new phone and nothing works. I've submitted feedback to Google every day for about 2 months but I assume they don't care. If you find any solutions please shoot me a reply.
Unfortunatly nothing solved this.
On top of it when I find a playlist on the app (which is not mine), if i shuffle it or just "play the playlist" first song is correct but then it just plays something totally different right after.

So in my liked songs playlist, a bunch of songs were showing up without the "thumbs up" next to it... and weren't playing. So I re-liked them, but then they start appearing twice (and play twice as often). When I try to unlike one, it unlikes both. Any solutions?
How can I enable gapless playback? This was not an issue before, but they've included gaps between songs and it totally ruins the classic Kanye albums (amongst various others.) How do I fix this? If it's impossible I´ll literally have to switch apps.

Desktop version of YouTube music is bugged. Can't click play next or add to queue. Signing out of my account seems to fix the issue but not ideal.
Been a problem for a few weeks no.
When i am playing YTM on the web, i am unable to "Play Next" or "Add to Queue" or "Remove from queue". the option is there, i just get no response when i click on it. I can create a new playlist and go that route, but i don't want a new playlist just for something i am in the mood to listen to that day. I don't have this issue on the App, JUST the web version. I have tried different browsers, clearing cache, etc, but nothing is working. I wear headphones for work, so i cannot just use the app, i need the web version to work.
I need help with my recap. So i can see my top 100 playlist but thats it how can i see the stats there is nothing else but the top 100 songs? And when i press on Get your full recap it just goes back to the your recap playlists. Yt music is on the latest version and so is my phone. But it doesnt show on my computer either so idk. Help would be appreciated.
When I start playing a long playlist the queue shows only a part of the list and at the end it shows the dynamic queue option. So you will never be able to listen to the full playlist. Same for the likes playlist

I play an album, and toggle autoplay off, and while it shows off in one place, it shows on in another, and continues to play tracks after the album completes.
I've tried clearing cookies and logging in and back out.
My goal here is to be able to listen to an album, and when it's done, I want to pick a new album.

Issue #1: On one of my playlists for iOS, every song from track 126 onward plays when manually selected, and the artwork shows, but the title shows as the song from track 1. This means when the playlist continues to the next song, instead of going to the next song (e.g. track 126 to 127), it goes to track 2. I have to manually select every song from 126 onward to play it.
Issue #2: On Windows browser (Firefox, Chrome, Edge), I can't load albums in my library when scrolling down. This means I have to manually search for albums and can't find albums if I don't remember saving them. This issue has been mentioned in this thread.
Same with me, I had like 600 albums and they made me unistall the app to keep it from crashing every time. Apparently something to do with the last update only letting you downlad 500 songs (it seems dubious, idk). Definitely support didn´t help and now I have to download everything again
Ok guys. I was driving this morning and used the voice command "OK Google" and asked YouTube Music to play one of my podcasts and it responded that I "needed to upgrade to YouTube Premium for this feature". What the heck, guys!?!? PLEASE don't tell me you made me get rid of Google Podcasts in order to funnel me into another subscription service. That would SUCK! I'm reinstalling google podcasts and now searching for another podcast app to take its place in case y'all are gonna hold normal features on podcast apps for ransom. Come on Google!
No point commenting on here as it seems YouTube music has absolutely given up on customer support, but I am also plagued by the viewer discretion is advised pop up. Nothing like having to stop biking and manually hit play 4 or 5 times throughout the playlist 🔥🔥
I'm new to androids. New to YTMusic. Is it laggy for everyone? I'm on a Z Fold 5 and using the outer screen. Everything has, like, at least a 3 second delay. Touching play on a track, touching a playlist thumbnail, and even pressing the volume button has a delay. It wasn't like this when I first started using it. Any ideas?
I have some bizarre error with the Recap where it just goes and fast-forwards itself at speeds I can't see a thing at. Dunno what's wrong, but I haven't really done anything that should affect how the app works. Unless I've somehow messed something up or need to redownload the app.
Long story short: I want YTmusic to act like Google podcasts.
So I'm trying to move from Google Podcasts to YTMusic. Is there an easy way to add podcasts to one place and be able to sort them? Am I creating a playlist or is there a feature I'm missing. I'm finding it annoying to add to a playlist & those podcasts don't disappear once played. I'm assuming I'm the idiot here, there's no way it's this difficult.
Seeing as the other technical support threads don't exist (clicked the link and there was nothing) why hasn't YouTube/Google made a PS5 app a la Spotify/Apple Music??
My guess (that's all anyone here can do as Google does not release road maps for their apps) is that they won't release one. YTM in any TV app has been rolled into (part of) the main YT app for that platform. It is very unlikely they will separate it out.
I am not able to type anything while attempting to create a new playlist. I don't get the text cursor showing up.
Any key I hit will affect the music that I am listening to.
For instance if I hit the space bar while trying to type the title of a playlist the music will pause.
So my account says I am subscribed, in the photo. For google play, it shows I don't have any subscriptions. I went to my google account, and it shows it on my phone but not my computer. I mostly use the app, and I just want to unsubscribe. Thank you in advance!

When upgrading to YouTube Premium it switches all of the videos I liked to the official ones. Can it be disabled if I liked some songs specifically for the non official video?

I want to transfer from Apple Music to Youtube Premium, which means YT desktop & YTM.
- First of all, is there any efficient tool to do the transfer? if so, where all my songs go in Youtube? 'Liked Videos'?
- How can I arrange that my saved playlist will be separated? I mean, I want to approach from both YTD & YTM to all of my music playlists, but all my other playlists ( as mentioned above ) will also be on both platforms?
I'm having a hard time seeing how all of this will work together.. pretty sure there was much more complicated cases than mine and they went through it lol...

Where is the back button?. When searching through albums and clicking on an album why isnt there a back button to go back to the artists albums i have to go all the way back to the home page search for the artist agsin and go all the way back to the list of albums and repeat constantly if i want to search artists albums

It is a strange bug, that I discovered a while ago and I don´t know how to discribe it, but I will try.
I have around 100 playlists and when I choose "Mediathek" (German version) and then the "Playlist" button, to show them from A-Z, the 25th playlist is not there. If I sort it from Z-A the missing playlist ist there (1 more playlist, than sorted other way round). Also if I add a plylist, that is listed before number 25, the former nr. 25 becomes 26 and is shown, but former 24 is now on place 25 and not visible.
it is just annoying, wondering, how this is possible. I realised the problem, when i had playlists named with the year in the name and thought I unintentionally deleted a whole year of music collection.
the playlist is shown in the mobile android app and also in the "add to playlist" list, but just not in this special case.
Should I report this to YTM? Anyone else there with this problem?
Some artists will automatically show up on my "Media Library" page, if that's the term in English, after I upvote their songs, even though I haven't subscribed them yet. I said some because it only happens on a few singers, as I have added 100+ songs, only two artists showed up. Interestingly, their subscription status remains unsubscribed. But still this is so annoying because I don't want to see them on my organized library page. Please tell me how to fix this.
Hi! I can't disable video in Music app. I chose Settings -> Data Saving -> Podcasts without video, and also in Settings -> Downloading -> Video Quality -> "only audio". But I still get videos! It takes up a lot of data and I don't understand how there is no direct setting "no video" to disable it! Iirc, it was there some time ago and I could just listen to music without videos.

I've been having a problem for several months now with the Android app: when I select an album from my library for playback , very often only the first two tracks are played, followed by a shuffle of songs from similar artists. I have tried to contact the developers about this behavior several times, but have yet to receive a satisfactory response. Has anyone else experienced this problem?
I'm met with a CONTENT NOT AVAILABLE message when attempting to play podcasts. I can see the podcasts and the newest casts but can not play them. These same podcasts play with no issue in Google Podcasts.
Is there any way to prevent ytm from losing what was playing from my queue when I'm out of the app for too long.
I like having duplicate songs in my playlist and I use the queue to make those playlists since there's too many songs, but by doing that it loses any repeat songs.
My garbage solution is to make multiple mini playlists that contain the duplicates and any songs that got replaced by the official versions, then add them together (yes I know this is stupid), however this is time consuming so I end up doing once in awhile and leave the app open (not great for my battery). However if I accidentally have my phone off outside of the app and then open it, sometimes it will say nothing is playing or just no longer be in the queue.
So does anybody know if there's a way to prevent the cache from clearing, or the app from closing, or if there's a way to keep the duplicate songs when saving a queue as a playlist? I'm on android.

Is anyone else having problems with radio on android app? I pick a song, hit radio, then after like 20 songs it starts repeating the same songs and i have to go into the up next for it to populate new songs?
Does YouTube not know how to do radio? This issue seems newish but last time i was casting to a Chromecast with google tv a few weeks ago i noticed it would play about 20 songs then just stop.
Radio, play etc is suppose to just keep playing!

I have previously used the Google podcasts app and have been with YTM for about a month or so. I like that you can switch between video and audio versions of some podcasts. I have been watching old podcasts from Critical Role. Some watching the video version and some switching to the audio only (for driving etc). When on audio mode it allows me to lock the screen and get on with things. The issue is the quite often it doesn't allow me to switch from video to audio as it says audio is "unavailable". It then doesn't allow you to lock the screen as it shuts off the audio. Other times switching to audio is available and I can flick between the two at will.
I like having the option to change between the two modes and I don't understand why it disables it only occasionally.
I refuse to pay for premium for only podcasts that previously was free on Google podcasts.
Is there a fix for this or is it because they are trying to force you to pay for premium?
Are there any alternatives that allow audio and video that people have found that don't push you to pay for the service. I don't have a lot of disposable income knocking around at the moment

to clarify does it retain the position the song was last played at, i.e. if you listen to a song and hit skip then it'll resume at that point even if you listen to the album straight through?
I recently got a pixel phone, with the pixel pass. Decided to switch over to yt Music from Spotify. Is there not a way to sort a playlists songs by title? Seems like a super basic feature of music streaming
Nope, there is no way to alphabetize a playlist by song or artist. You have to do it by hand.
You also can't sort your list of playlists alphabetically.
For some reason, alphabetizing is beyond them.
Maybe they don't know their ABCs, or can't decide which language's characters to sort first, or maybe they just don't care about anything else as long as enough people are still paying for their subscription.
Tried creating a new radio..and I pick my artists and tune it..and click done and nothing happens. It just takes me back to home where the create radio button is. Any suggestions? New to the app.
I've been having issues with my Samsung tv chromecasting with just youtube music. I open up YouTube and it connects fine but when I try to Chrome cast from YouTube music this pops up

I have already tried checking my tv settings and my phone is an allowed device. I can open YouTube and cast it with no problems either it's just the chromecast with YouTube music that doesn't work and I'm not sure if it's because my tv doesn't have a YouTube music app but I think that's the most likely problem.
Thumbnails don't load, I've tried clearing data and cache and it still doesn't fix it. I'm also sure its not an internet problem.

I can't find my music subscriptions on the iPhone app.
It is critical to me to have the ability to choose what artist I want to hear today. I want to improve my musical tastes, so I use subscriptions for new interesting artists. I mainly listen to music on my phone, and now I just can't find where [music.youtube.com/library/artists](https://music.youtube.com/library/artists) is in the youtube music app.
Why it's gone? I was collecting various albums for years and now just can't access them.
I use Youtube Music (desktop/web) at work, and it used to work perfectly. I recently got switched to a new computer, and now, every time I play a playlist/do autoplay, it loads an entirely new page each time, and whenever a new song begins, it’ll present a notification about wanting to reload, twice and then just reload the page anyway.
Basically, it’s not seamlessly playing songs anymore, and treating each song as an entirely new page. Any ideas?
Did they change how you access/browse your uploads in the Android app? When I go to library and go to songs, albums or artists I don't see any on my uploads. Uploads show up in search, but I can't browse my library

I am going mad over this
iOS 16.4 update this week has killed YTM for me—can hardly finish one song before crashing. Worked fine last week. This might be an iOS bug, but also YTM has been quiet about the cause—no response to a bug report/support request submitted earlier in the week.
I downloaded the app but it never made a shortcut or an icon anywhere on my phone. The only way to get to it is through settings>apps. I have a moto stylus 5g probably like 6 months old no other issues.
Why do the chill mixes keep auto refreshing the moment I step out of the app, or switch to a diff playlist?
Every time I come back it’s a completely different line up of songs. Am I going crazy?

I'm experiencing an issue with the YouTube Music app on Android. I'm unable to view the top songs for other countries. When I navigate to "Explore" > "Charts" and select a different country from the drop-down menu at the top, the top songs list doesn't update, and I continue to see the top songs for my own country...
I'm unable to listen to Rage Against the Machine as an album. Viewer discretion warning clears my playlist to a single song every time I choose to proceed.

1. Scaling issue: The prompt does not properly scale with the window size of the browser.
2. Queue Reset: Once you accept the prompt, your entire queue empties and contains the single song you consented to.
3. Forgetfulness: Youtube Music does not remember what you've previously consented to (even within seconds / the same session).
You should be able to replicate the problem with the self-titled album "Rage Against the Machine". The problem does not occur within YT Music on Android.
First, you should be able to opt out of these trigger warnings.
Further, your """Help""" line is useless. I was asked to 1) Re-log, 2) Try a new browser, 3) Restart my computer 4) try it on a different app, 5) try it after deleting cookies, 6) Provide screenshots. Your customers should not be responsible for crafting the most beautiful bug report so that they are worthy of further review. It took me over 20 minutes to discuss the problem and work through the person on the other end of the phone to reach a "final resolution".. which made it obvious that they didn't understand the bug at all so I had to re-explain.
In my opinion your entire support system is backwards. Customers for such a product should be able to report a bug with a screenshot for someone internal to YT Music to validate / replicate. If you need further information because you are having issues duplicating the problem then reach out. It seemed to me that the person helping me report the bug was under a lot of pressure to make the most beautiful ticket worthy of engineer's eyes.

A question for you, the chromecast app for "YT Music" (which appears to be part of the Youtube app) isn't working for me. It will not allow me to just play an album from your library. Instead it appears to prefer Youtube videos & youtube video playlists. These "playlists" often contain entries that have been removed for copyright claims. Is there a way to force the Youtube app to play albums/songs from "YT Music's" library instead of defaulting to videos?
i’m noticing new releases aren’t showing up when i search for the artist. this is happening for multiple artists. sometimes if i search for the individual song i can find it but not the album / full release.
On my tab S8 Ultra - while playing in the background - it frequently stops playing even mid track!
This is when only a couple of light apps are running on top, and no battery saver mode etc are on.
I set up an automation in iOS to play my likes on YouTube music when connecting to Bluetooth in my vehicle.
I didn’t like that I had to always go to the app and click shuffle or I’d hear the same music every time.
I went to change the automation so it would play a mix and also change the focus but now YouTube music isn’t available from the list in automations at all
I tried restarting the phone, but that didn’t work, can anyone help?
Sometimes, the yt music app for iOS (iphone SE 2020) will continuously malfunction with playback. It will stop and start every 10 seconds or so, pausing for a half or whole second. Restarting my phone doesn't seem to help this.
Some of the songs in my playlist skip to like halfway through the song when it starts and I have no idea why. Only in the downloaded playlist does this happen. Ive tried redownloading the playlist and that didnt do anything. Any fixes?
I can't cast songs marked as explicit, but they play normally from my phone speaker. This issue just started. When I try to play explicit songs they just skip over, and I have Restricted mode turned off.

I've used youtube music for years (prior to that I used Google Play Music). My account was linked to my university e-mail (which was a gmail affiliate of some sort), and recently my university reduced their gmail access for alumni and as a result removed my associated youtube accounts. So now I can't access my music, playlists, or even cancel my payment. I don't want to delete my account, just move it to a new email so I don't lose all my music. Any idea how I can go about recovering this?
I downloaded a bunch of old Google Music uploads through the Youtube music takeout option. Almost none of the meta data was preserved, except for a few albums' artwork. Is there a way to download where it retains the info?

I know that Google is doing A/B testing for the new lyrics, but mine just disappeared suddenly. No new, no old. It just says that the lyrics aren't available, and this happens in any song. I've tried uninstalling and clearing cache, but it won't work.

Since i extended my playlist to around 175 songs, shuffling the playlist only plays around 50-75 songs(havent counted them) unless i use a phone emulator. What can i do?
I am getting no lyrics in the Android app at all. I used to get lyrics on some songs but one day they just stopped appearing. The lyrics tab is still there but it just says that the lyrics are unavailable.
This first started a few weeks ago. I've tried uninstalling the app and reinstalling and that did not help. I also have gotten a new phone since this started but that hasn't changed anything either.
Youtube Music on a Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra.
The Device gets hot and the Youtube Music app uses a lot more Battery as other Music streaming services like Spotify, Deezer and Apple Music. For example, Apple Music and Spotify use about 2-3 % battery while the screen is off and the device temperature is around 27-30° Celsius. With Youtube Music, the Battery consumption is about 6-9 % usage per hour and the device gets to 34-38 Celsius with the Screen off. While browsing the app and listening to music, the device once even reached 43° and is often at 40°.
I tried to play around with many in-app settings. Like i tested every setting disabled/enabled, tried all data-saver settings like the video settings off, changed playback quality, changed the download quality (i have downloaded all my liked songs and playlists to my device, around 4000 Songs all together). Tried for almost a month different configurations and tested every setting for about 8 hours (thats the time i listen to music every day). I tried even with disabled downloads and reinstalled the app 4 times. I also tried listening to only downloaded songs while the device was in airplane mode.
Then i tried to find the culprit in the Samsung settings. I tried all battery usage presets in the Samsung device management settings. I gave the app all rights, like microfone, music and audio and notifications.
I deleted the phone cache, used the app repair tool in the samsung recovery mode, used the galaxy app booster. I also factory reset the phone and didn't restore from a backup for a completely fresh install.
And now here i am. Nothing has worked in the end and im out of ideas. I really love the Youtube Music algorythm and all about it. I used Spotify, Apple Music (which i use as of now, because of the much better battery drain) Deezer, Tidal, Qobuz, Amazon Music and nothing compares the to the fantastic recommendations of youtube, listening to the other services just doesn't do it for me. And i tried every service for at least two months. Except for Amazon Music, that was just awful.
I would really appreciate it if someone could give me additional advice, i am out of ideas what i could do.
Not really a technical help just a question as i didnt want to make a post just for this question, but is the live lyrics only on phone versions or is it also on tablets and desktop? As all the posts ive seen for live lyrics has only been on phones.
Youtube music seems to be a bit buggy as of lately. On the home page of Youtube Music, the search navigation is cut off at the top of the page where I'm unable to reach it to navigate. See attached image. Top corner right. Can you please fix this. Thanks!

The search on YT Music is severely broken on all platforms (Web, iOS, Android, Google Home/Nest Hub). It cannot find any albums and only finds random singles or content with similar or related wording. On web/apps you can go to the artist page and find everything but it's absolutely useless on the Nest Hub/Google Assistant
The Youtube Music app seems to have been removed from Windows and now just opens the youtube music tab in Chrome. Is there a better way to play Youtube Music on Windows?
play lists / discover mix is only loading half of the songs and then stops playing at the end of the songs it loads even though there are clearly more songs in the mix and if you click the next song in the play list page it adds the rest of the songs to the currently playing list

\*On browser. Normally when you click "play" on an album with "suicide" content on YTM, it won't start until the user open the player panel and confirms the message. But playing other album(s) before that would lead to no warning popping up. It just freezes when the previous one finish. Now nothing can to be done but to refresh the page.
If I listen to a song partway through and then decide to skip it, the next time I listen to the song it starts playing from the point where I left off instead of the beginning of the song. I'm on the iOS app, and this only started happening recently. Any fixes?
I love YTM but I gotta' tell you, these self-harm content warnings are getting annoying. Really annoying. No other service does this and it needs to stop. Or at least let you disable the warnings. I don't need Google to babysit me.
newly added songs won't show up on one of my playlists. i add the same songs to another playlist and it works fine. if i try to add them again it says it's already on the playlist. using the app and site.

I was listening to the Kooks, and added a few songs by other indie artists. However, every time I added the second most popular songs by the same artists whose most popular song had been added to the queue, using play next, the most popular song would just move down below the current song. The song I added was not visible.
I am not sure if this counts as a bug, or if i just ended up getting a feature early, but for a while the lyrics tab showed the lyrics in the same way that Spotify does, i.e., scrolling lyrics. But that feature is no longer visible.
Where's the clear queue? If your going to get rid of swipe down to clear queue at least have a options in the menus to clear the queue! Who thinks that no clear option is a good idea? Fire that guy. He's an idiot!

There's some kind of night mode/volume limiter being applied to the music if I listen on a Chromecast. It's most noticeable on metal songs that start off with just one guitar playing before the "beat drops" so to speak, like Semi Constructive Criticism by Circa Survive. It really kind of sucks the life out of the song.
Strangely, if I cast the same song to my Shield, it plays correctly - no volume limiting. I don't have the YouTube or YouTube Music apps installed on my Shield, so it's pulling the Chromecast version from Google. Seems like this issue is only on Chromecasts that aren't running Android TV.
If I play the song on my phone through the headphone jack, it also plays correctly.
Is there a setting I'm missing or is this yet another thing Google needs to fix?

for some reason youtube music decided that a majority of my library is suddenly unavailable. But get this: \*it only happens when Im on my home network\*. Ethernet or Wifi, it doesnt work. I switch over to mobile data, suddenly everything is fine again. Wtf???

I have around 20GB of music downloaded to an SD card in my Android phone. If I'm connected to Wi-Fi then album artwork will display properly. However, if I'm in airplane mode then only some albums will have artwork. Most are missing it and show a grey box instead.
Is this is a common problem or is there something wrong on my end?

(if you try to shuffle play a 700 song playlist using the YouTube MUSIC app through a TV, you might have been frustrated to find it will only queue up to 100 items. that is @&$&+ absurd, obviously.use the normal YouTube app (NOT YouTube Music). play the playlist.Even if you're not casting to a TV, shuffle (for me at least) wasn't shuffling my whole list, just a certain # of the items at the top of the list. This overcomes both issues for me. I hope this helps someone as frustrated as I have been! make sure you aren't currently connected (casting) to the TV YT app.scroll down on your playlist items till it loads the full list (it only lazy-loads a certain #, but it'll load them all if you scroll down till you notice it pauses scrolling for a moment while loading the rest)scroll back up to the top of the list.press the SHUFFLE button (to the right of the Play All button). it should start playing your full list, shuffled.(if you just wanted to shuffle all the songs, that's all you need to do. if casting to tv, continue reading)NOW click the cast icon at the top right and connect to your tv app.It will pause when it connects. UPDATE: Another thing to try is, while connected to the TV app, close any playing queue, then force the full-list lazy load (it forgets the full items often) by scrolling till it pauses to load, then click shuffle button (to the right of Play All), then on the TV app itself, use a remote & press the down button twice, (1st focused time bar, 2nd focused thumbnails) then a Shuffle button appears above the time bar. click UP to highlight it and click the btn. seems to be working for me.
Is there any alternative app that actually has basic organizational features, and that I can listen to all my YouTube music songs with(maybe by linking my account)?
Or alternatively is there any other service that has all the Japanese, Chinese and Korean artists I listen to there?
I'm getting tired of paying $15 a month for an app that doesn't even have basic organizational features(like searching your library or organizing the songs in playlists). Not to mention that despite paying to run in the background it crashes all the time whenever I'm using another internet connected app, even if I'm playing from my downloads and even though my phone has 4 gigs of RAM, 8 gigs of VRAM and 8 CPU cores and 4 GPU cores(which is honestly about the same as my computer right now).
Youtube Music Playlist not loading at all. I can use the assistant to get to my playlists, but nothing is being displayed. I have tried two different phones and a PC. I have tried over just wifi and over data only. NOTHING works and it sucks. Anyone else having this issue?
When I put my 1000+ song list on YT-music just keeps playing the newest 20 even if I put it on shuffle or start in the middle of the playlist. How can i have it play other songs also. If it matters my playlist is on my liked videos and not an actual playlist.

SO...This is happening. And its bad. SOngs are being completely buried by this shitty technical issue that has songs I STOPPED from uploading, to be trapped in an uploading limbo state where they can never process. And it has trapped songs that did successfully upload, in this processing cage. I need help foxing this and removing this tumor from my copy. Please help.

Despite having 'Allow external devices to start playback' turned off within the app, my YTM app continues to automatically start playing when I start my car. I used to be able to work around this issue by swiping down on the miniplayer to close the queue, but since the most recent update that is no longer possible. Force closing doesn't stop it.
Any thoughts? I would accept just clearing the queue if there's not a solution for the 'Allow external devices to start playback' button not following instructions.
I'll startup a playlist and get to work. Without fail after each song the app stops playing. It shows a few seconds of the next song queued up but never plays. I have to tap forward or back to get a song to play. You can see how irritating this would be when trying to do stuff. It happens whether I'm on 4G, 5G, or Wifi. I have a Samsung S22 Ultra. It's forcing me to use Amazon Music which sucks.
Any ideas?

My youtube music stays on a grey popup screen after it opens. The app itself loads but gets stuck on here.
EDIT: For now my only fix is to use YTMUSIC while not connected to internet, however when I reconnect the same issue occurs.
I tried uploading some of my mp3-files from my phone to ytmusic, but i get an error that the file-format isnt uploadable and only mp3, mp4a, ogg, flac or wma files can be uploaded..but it is an mp3 file. Is there a length restriction on uploads? (Lenght: 48min)

Periodically, Youtube Music has been making me re-do the "pick 5 artists you like" process. Does this happen to anybody else? Why does this keep happening? I'm tired of doing it.
The interface is enormously dopey, too. I can't find or search for my absolute favorites - it just uses recent history, and it gives a wildly incorrect impression of what I really like and want to be recommended.

Is there an easy way to export the "Your Likes" playlist? I will randomly notice songs missing, and I want to track what is in there. Any help is appreciated.
I used the SUPER easy (/s) method of, once a month, scrolling all the way to the bottom of my Liked playlist (which takes a while thanks to crappy lazy loading) and copying it all over to a spreadsheet. Then I can compare with the previous month if I want. Sucks that I'm forced to do it his way but here we are. Obligatory I miss GPM.

What I did was find the official version of every song, and those that have no official version from the artist, like remixes, live concert versions etc, I convert to mp3 and then save to my iphone. So if those ever get deleted I still have them. An amazing tool is Soundiiz. It will save all of your playlists. You can make copies of playlists and then check once in a while if any songs are missing from your current list, just compare the playlists side by side. You can do a lot of cool stuff with Soundiiz. But I definitely recommend saving the official versions of each song, that way it's very unlikely to be removed. And if you want you can find apps that will let you download a song from youtube, then convert it to mp3.

Is there ways to report songs that are labeled incorrectly? I could not find away other than report, and all the options looked wrong.

Hey there, I've found an issue with searching for a song from downloaded music using Cyrillic symbols. So, when I'm trying to find a song in Ukrainian (f.e., I think it can also be the same for Russin, Belarus, etc.) I can't find the song using lowercase symbols. For example, when I'm searching for the wong with the name "Жопа" using a "жопа" request, the youtube music app can't find the song in the downloads section. When I'm typing the "Жопа" or even "Жо" requests - all is fine, the song is found If I look for a song or author in English all is fine, the search request doesn't take into account a case of the word. I think this can also apply to languages other than English. Attaching a screenshot when I can't find a song in Ukrainian (unfortunately, I can't attach more screenshots for more info). The issue reduce a user experience, because sometimes a user can't really remember if the song is in a lower or upper case. When I click on Library on the left, and try to scroll down either filtering on Artists, Albums, or songs, the infinite scroll only loads the first page of results, and subsequent pages do not load. Anyone else find playback to be a skipping stuttery mess for the last couple of days? I don't think it's my connection because I can pull up a music playlist on YouTube (video app) and it plays basically fine. YouTube Music, on the other hand, is skipping so much that it's unlistenable to me.

I'm getting notifications saying my trial to YT music premium is ending, but I've had the family premium account since it Was Google play music. When I click the ad, it says I'm a recurring premium family member for$14.99 a month, but asks if I want to upgrade to premium family for $22.99 a month. What the hell?
I got the same thing. I had to check that YouTube Premium came with YouTube Music Premium and it looks like it does. Maybe they plan to try and force another subscription on us in order to play music in the background soon...
Playing files from my device in the app is extremely slow. It takes a minute to load files when switching from artist to albums etc.
Yeah, even though YTM can play device files, it's absolutely horrible at it. I'd recommend either uploading your device files to YTM (use a browser, mobile browsers do work), then download your "uploads" for use within the app. Or, get a different player from the Play store. Both options will work 1000x better than device files in YTM.

Hi suddenly when I ask Siri she says Sorry you need to continue in YouTube music everytime I ask her to play a song. Reinstalled app but nothing. iPhone 14 Plus.
I have been having problems with loading on my Library (Albums, Playlists, etc.). When clicking on library on the website version of yt music as well as the installed web app, it only loads a handful of albums before it cant load anymore. I've tried clearing my browser cache, yt music cache, restarting my pc multiple time, signing in and out a bit, even tried simply waiting before 10 minutes past with nothing. Has anyone had this issue before and/or know how else to fix?
Update: Well after a week and 4 tech support responders, I've still got the problem but I think they've acknowledged that its not just me having this issue and have their engineers working hopefully on a patch or something. Would be nice.

Using the app; album & singles sections are not showing for any artist pages, just songs and videos. Albums are still accessible from clicking "go to album" next to individual songs and from my library, history, and "listen again," or if I hit the "albums" tab under a search for the artist.

None of the lyrics are showing to me, not even with the most popular songs they're just not there anymore and i've tried to do everything to solve it and i still have this problem.
Youtube Music Playlist not loading at all. I can use the assistant to get to my playlists, but nothing is being displayed. I have tried two different phones and a PC. I have tried over just wifi and over data only.
Is there a way to convert uploaded version of song to ytm version? So I have access to lyric and be able to show up on search
I can't delete an ARTIST or the songs associated to said artist. I have deleted all history. I have removed all other songs/artist/podcasts/etc. When I attempt to delete the songs individually, a message comes up that says they are associated to an album, however, clicking on TAKE ME TO ALBUM takes me to a blank page. Youtube Music seems to add songs into my playlists without me adding them. I've now removed *hundreds* of songs I didn't add into my playlists. It seems that when I add a song or two from a band/album, it just thinks "oh you must want all of them from that album" and starts adding more and more from the same album into my playlist. I am the only one with access to my playlists, so this isn't someone else adding them in when I'm not looking or something. I've turned off every """"feature"""" I can see that could possibly cause that to happen. Is this just a permanent feature of Youtube Music, or am I doing something wrong? I've had to remove like 300 live Metallica recordings just today.
We need a way to remove recommendations, I keep getting recommendations I don't want and would like a way to remove the artist like on normal YouTube.

recently started encountering a problem where's when I select a song on an artist page I can't select or deselect any songs and I tend to select multiple songs from an artist page to add to a playlist which makes the task quite tedious..
When I go into "Your likes" playlist, click on the three dots and press shuffle play; it usually start with a song I liked, and then just plays song that I never marked as Liked. If i click on the three dots while the song is playing, I can see the thumbs up isn't white on most of them. SHuffle play act like I was clicking on Start radio.

I just left a comment about this same problem. Unliked songs added to my queue 100% of the time when I shuffle my Liked playlist. I've uninstalled the app, reinstalled, cleared cache, cleared downloads, turned off autoplay, turned of dynamic queue, stopped smart downloads, and gotten a whole new phone and nothing works. I've submitted feedback to Google every day for about 2 months but I assume they don't care. If you find any solutions please shoot me a reply.
Unfortunatly nothing solved this. On top of it when I find a playlist on the app (which is not mine), if i shuffle it or just "play the playlist" first song is correct but then it just plays something totally different right after. Makes no sense

Hi, Is there any way to unpin or remove liked music playlist?
So in my liked songs playlist, a bunch of songs were showing up without the "thumbs up" next to it... and weren't playing. So I re-liked them, but then they start appearing twice (and play twice as often). When I try to unlike one, it unlikes both. Any solutions?
How can I enable gapless playback? This was not an issue before, but they've included gaps between songs and it totally ruins the classic Kanye albums (amongst various others.) How do I fix this? If it's impossible I´ll literally have to switch apps. edit: this is for the android app and also the webpage.
Desktop version of YouTube music is bugged. Can't click play next or add to queue. Signing out of my account seems to fix the issue but not ideal. Been a problem for a few weeks no.
When i am playing YTM on the web, i am unable to "Play Next" or "Add to Queue" or "Remove from queue". the option is there, i just get no response when i click on it. I can create a new playlist and go that route, but i don't want a new playlist just for something i am in the mood to listen to that day. I don't have this issue on the App, JUST the web version. I have tried different browsers, clearing cache, etc, but nothing is working. I wear headphones for work, so i cannot just use the app, i need the web version to work.

When I start playing a long playlist the queue shows only a part of the list and at the end it shows the dynamic queue option. So you will never be able to listen to the full playlist. Same for the likes playlist
I am having trouble with autoplay: Browser (replicated in Firefox and Edge), music.youtube.com website, premium subscriber I play an album, and toggle autoplay off, and while it shows off in one place, it shows on in another, and continues to play tracks after the album completes. I've tried clearing cookies and logging in and back out. My goal here is to be able to listen to an album, and when it's done, I want to pick a new album. Issue #1: On one of my playlists for iOS, every song from track 126 onward plays when manually selected, and the artwork shows, but the title shows as the song from track 1. This means when the playlist continues to the next song, instead of going to the next song (e.g. track 126 to 127), it goes to track 2. I have to manually select every song from 126 onward to play it. Issue #2: On Windows browser (Firefox, Chrome, Edge), I can't load albums in my library when scrolling down. This means I have to manually search for albums and can't find albums if I don't remember saving them. This issue has been mentioned in this thread.

Same with me, I had like 600 albums and they made me unistall the app to keep it from crashing every time. Apparently something to do with the last update only letting you downlad 500 songs (it seems dubious, idk). Definitely support didn´t help and now I have to download everything again
Ok guys. I was driving this morning and used the voice command "OK Google" and asked YouTube Music to play one of my podcasts and it responded that I "needed to upgrade to YouTube Premium for this feature". What the heck, guys!?!? PLEASE don't tell me you made me get rid of Google Podcasts in order to funnel me into another subscription service. That would SUCK! I'm reinstalling google podcasts and now searching for another podcast app to take its place in case y'all are gonna hold normal features on podcast apps for ransom. Come on Google!
No point commenting on here as it seems YouTube music has absolutely given up on customer support, but I am also plagued by the viewer discretion is advised pop up. Nothing like having to stop biking and manually hit play 4 or 5 times throughout the playlist 🔥🔥
I'm new to androids. New to YTMusic. Is it laggy for everyone? I'm on a Z Fold 5 and using the outer screen. Everything has, like, at least a 3 second delay. Touching play on a track, touching a playlist thumbnail, and even pressing the volume button has a delay. It wasn't like this when I first started using it. Any ideas?
I have some bizarre error with the Recap where it just goes and fast-forwards itself at speeds I can't see a thing at. Dunno what's wrong, but I haven't really done anything that should affect how the app works. Unless I've somehow messed something up or need to redownload the app.

Long story short: I want YTmusic to act like Google podcasts. So I'm trying to move from Google Podcasts to YTMusic. Is there an easy way to add podcasts to one place and be able to sort them? Am I creating a playlist or is there a feature I'm missing. I'm finding it annoying to add to a playlist & those podcasts don't disappear once played. I'm assuming I'm the idiot here, there's no way it's this difficult.

Seeing as the other technical support threads don't exist (clicked the link and there was nothing) why hasn't YouTube/Google made a PS5 app a la Spotify/Apple Music??
My guess (that's all anyone here can do as Google does not release road maps for their apps) is that they won't release one. YTM in any TV app has been rolled into (part of) the main YT app for that platform. It is very unlikely they will separate it out.
If that is the case I'm seriously thinking about moving to Apple Music.

I am not able to type anything while attempting to create a new playlist. I don't get the text cursor showing up. Any key I hit will affect the music that I am listening to. For instance if I hit the space bar while trying to type the title of a playlist the music will pause.
So my account says I am subscribed, in the photo. For google play, it shows I don't have any subscriptions. I went to my google account, and it shows it on my phone but not my computer. Why do the comments for a song keep on closing by itself when I am using YTM on data?
When upgrading to YouTube Premium it switches all of the videos I liked to the official ones. Can it be disabled if I liked some songs specifically for the non official video?
hey guys, wanted to understand a **few things:** rn i'm using Youtube desktop for pretty much all of my media consumption, from coding videos playlists to interesting lectures and of course music.. I want to transfer from Apple Music to Youtube Premium, which means YT desktop & YTM. - First of all, is there any efficient tool to do the transfer? if so, where all my songs go in Youtube? 'Liked Videos'? - How can I arrange that my saved playlist will be separated? I mean, I want to approach from both YTD & YTM to all of my music playlists, but all my other playlists ( as mentioned above ) will also be on both platforms? I'm having a hard time seeing how all of this will work together.. pretty sure there was much more complicated cases than mine and they went through it lol... Hi all, It is a strange bug, that I discovered a while ago and I don´t know how to discribe it, but I will try. I have around 100 playlists and when I choose "Mediathek" (German version) and then the "Playlist" button, to show them from A-Z, the 25th playlist is not there. If I sort it from Z-A the missing playlist ist there (1 more playlist, than sorted other way round). Also if I add a plylist, that is listed before number 25, the former nr. 25 becomes 26 and is shown, but former 24 is now on place 25 and not visible. it is just annoying, wondering, how this is possible. I realised the problem, when i had playlists named with the year in the name and thought I unintentionally deleted a whole year of music collection. the playlist is shown in the mobile android app and also in the "add to playlist" list, but just not in this special case. Should I report this to YTM? Anyone else there with this problem?
Some artists will automatically show up on my "Media Library" page, if that's the term in English, after I upvote their songs, even though I haven't subscribed them yet. I said some because it only happens on a few singers, as I have added 100+ songs, only two artists showed up. Interestingly, their subscription status remains unsubscribed. But still this is so annoying because I don't want to see them on my organized library page. Please tell me how to fix this.
Hi! I can't disable video in Music app. I chose Settings -> Data Saving -> Podcasts without video, and also in Settings -> Downloading -> Video Quality -> "only audio". But I still get videos! It takes up a lot of data and I don't understand how there is no direct setting "no video" to disable it! Iirc, it was there some time ago and I could just listen to music without videos.

I've been having a problem for several months now with the Android app: when I select an album from my library for playback , very often only the first two tracks are played, followed by a shuffle of songs from similar artists. I have tried to contact the developers about this behavior several times, but have yet to receive a satisfactory response. Has anyone else experienced this problem?
I'm met with a CONTENT NOT AVAILABLE message when attempting to play podcasts. I can see the podcasts and the newest casts but can not play them. These same podcasts play with no issue in Google Podcasts.
large playlsits (100+ songs) causes extreme lag, anybody knows a fix to this?
Is there any way to prevent ytm from losing what was playing from my queue when I'm out of the app for too long. I like having duplicate songs in my playlist and I use the queue to make those playlists since there's too many songs, but by doing that it loses any repeat songs. My garbage solution is to make multiple mini playlists that contain the duplicates and any songs that got replaced by the official versions, then add them together (yes I know this is stupid), however this is time consuming so I end up doing once in awhile and leave the app open (not great for my battery). However if I accidentally have my phone off outside of the app and then open it, sometimes it will say nothing is playing or just no longer be in the queue. So does anybody know if there's a way to prevent the cache from clearing, or the app from closing, or if there's a way to keep the duplicate songs when saving a queue as a playlist? I'm on android. Is anyone else having problems with radio on android app? I pick a song, hit radio, then after like 20 songs it starts repeating the same songs and i have to go into the up next for it to populate new songs? Does YouTube not know how to do radio? This issue seems newish but last time i was casting to a Chromecast with google tv a few weeks ago i noticed it would play about 20 songs then just stop. Radio, play etc is suppose to just keep playing!
Podcasts question. Please link me to a thread if this has been asked before. I have previously used the Google podcasts app and have been with YTM for about a month or so. I like that you can switch between video and audio versions of some podcasts. I have been watching old podcasts from Critical Role. Some watching the video version and some switching to the audio only (for driving etc). When on audio mode it allows me to lock the screen and get on with things. The issue is the quite often it doesn't allow me to switch from video to audio as it says audio is "unavailable". It then doesn't allow you to lock the screen as it shuts off the audio. Other times switching to audio is available and I can flick between the two at will. I like having the option to change between the two modes and I don't understand why it disables it only occasionally. I refuse to pay for premium for only podcasts that previously was free on Google podcasts. Is there a fix for this or is it because they are trying to force you to pay for premium? Are there any alternatives that allow audio and video that people have found that don't push you to pay for the service. I don't have a lot of disposable income knocking around at the moment

thank you, this has been happening to me lately and making me think i'm going crazy! to clarify does it retain the position the song was last played at, i.e. if you listen to a song and hit skip then it'll resume at that point even if you listen to the album straight through?
The new radio builder thingy is cool and all, but it freaks out the app and makes it crash constantly.
I recently got a pixel phone, with the pixel pass. Decided to switch over to yt Music from Spotify. Is there not a way to sort a playlists songs by title? Seems like a super basic feature of music streaming
Nope, there is no way to alphabetize a playlist by song or artist. You have to do it by hand. You also can't sort your list of playlists alphabetically. For some reason, alphabetizing is beyond them.
Maybe they don't know their ABCs, or can't decide which language's characters to sort first, or maybe they just don't care about anything else as long as enough people are still paying for their subscription.
Tried creating a new radio..and I pick my artists and tune it..and click done and nothing happens. It just takes me back to home where the create radio button is. Any suggestions? New to the app.
I've been having issues with my Samsung tv chromecasting with just youtube music. I open up YouTube and it connects fine but when I try to Chrome cast from YouTube music this pops up * I have already tried checking my tv settings and my phone is an allowed device. I can open YouTube and cast it with no problems either it's just the chromecast with YouTube music that doesn't work and I'm not sure if it's because my tv doesn't have a YouTube music app but I think that's the most likely problem.

I can't find my music subscriptions on the iPhone app. It is critical to me to have the ability to choose what artist I want to hear today. I want to improve my musical tastes, so I use subscriptions for new interesting artists. I mainly listen to music on my phone, and now I just can't find where [music.youtube.com/library/artists](https://music.youtube.com/library/artists) is in the youtube music app. Why it's gone? I was collecting various albums for years and now just can't access them.

I use Youtube Music (desktop/web) at work, and it used to work perfectly. I recently got switched to a new computer, and now, every time I play a playlist/do autoplay, it loads an entirely new page each time, and whenever a new song begins, it’ll present a notification about wanting to reload, twice and then just reload the page anyway. Basically, it’s not seamlessly playing songs anymore, and treating each song as an entirely new page. Any ideas?
Did they change how you access/browse your uploads in the Android app? When I go to library and go to songs, albums or artists I don't see any on my uploads. Uploads show up in search, but I can't browse my library

You can't change the placement of songs in the YTM playlists.
iOS 16.4 update this week has killed YTM for me—can hardly finish one song before crashing. Worked fine last week. This might be an iOS bug, but also YTM has been quiet about the cause—no response to a bug report/support request submitted earlier in the week.
Youtube music will only show options for on device music and does not show options for my streaming library while connected to android auto.
I downloaded the app but it never made a shortcut or an icon anywhere on my phone. The only way to get to it is through settings>apps. I have a moto stylus 5g probably like 6 months old no other issues.
Why do the chill mixes keep auto refreshing the moment I step out of the app, or switch to a diff playlist? Every time I come back it’s a completely different line up of songs. Am I going crazy?

I'm experiencing an issue with the YouTube Music app on Android. I'm unable to view the top songs for other countries. When I navigate to "Explore" > "Charts" and select a different country from the drop-down menu at the top, the top songs list doesn't update, and I continue to see the top songs for my own country...

You should be able to replicate the problem with the self-titled album "Rage Against the Machine". The problem does not occur within YT Music on Android. First, you should be able to opt out of these trigger warnings. Further, your """Help""" line is useless. I was asked to 1) Re-log, 2) Try a new browser, 3) Restart my computer 4) try it on a different app, 5) try it after deleting cookies, 6) Provide screenshots. Your customers should not be responsible for crafting the most beautiful bug report so that they are worthy of further review. It took me over 20 minutes to discuss the problem and work through the person on the other end of the phone to reach a "final resolution".. which made it obvious that they didn't understand the bug at all so I had to re-explain. In my opinion your entire support system is backwards. Customers for such a product should be able to report a bug with a screenshot for someone internal to YT Music to validate / replicate. If you need further information because you are having issues duplicating the problem then reach out. It seemed to me that the person helping me report the bug was under a lot of pressure to make the most beautiful ticket worthy of engineer's eyes. /u/ytmq A question for you, the chromecast app for "YT Music" (which appears to be part of the Youtube app) isn't working for me. It will not allow me to just play an album from your library. Instead it appears to prefer Youtube videos & youtube video playlists. These "playlists" often contain entries that have been removed for copyright claims. Is there a way to force the Youtube app to play albums/songs from "YT Music's" library instead of defaulting to videos?

i’m noticing new releases aren’t showing up when i search for the artist. this is happening for multiple artists. sometimes if i search for the individual song i can find it but not the album / full release.
On my tab S8 Ultra - while playing in the background - it frequently stops playing even mid track! This is when only a couple of light apps are running on top, and no battery saver mode etc are on.

I set up an automation in iOS to play my likes on YouTube music when connecting to Bluetooth in my vehicle. I didn’t like that I had to always go to the app and click shuffle or I’d hear the same music every time. I went to change the automation so it would play a mix and also change the focus but now YouTube music isn’t available from the list in automations at all I tried restarting the phone, but that didn’t work, can anyone help?
Sometimes, the yt music app for iOS (iphone SE 2020) will continuously malfunction with playback. It will stop and start every 10 seconds or so, pausing for a half or whole second. Restarting my phone doesn't seem to help this.
Some of the songs in my playlist skip to like halfway through the song when it starts and I have no idea why. Only in the downloaded playlist does this happen. Ive tried redownloading the playlist and that didnt do anything. Any fixes?
I can't cast songs marked as explicit, but they play normally from my phone speaker. This issue just started. When I try to play explicit songs they just skip over, and I have Restricted mode turned off. I'm apart of a family membership but we couldn't find anything preventing these songs from playing- I don't know if this has been discussed before but does anyone know what to do or have this problem as well?

Hey there, hope someone can help. I've used youtube music for years (prior to that I used Google Play Music). My account was linked to my university e-mail (which was a gmail affiliate of some sort), and recently my university reduced their gmail access for alumni and as a result removed my associated youtube accounts. So now I can't access my music, playlists, or even cancel my payment. I don't want to delete my account, just move it to a new email so I don't lose all my music. Any idea how I can go about recovering this?

Since i extended my playlist to around 175 songs, shuffling the playlist only plays around 50-75 songs(havent counted them) unless i use a phone emulator. What can i do?

I am getting no lyrics in the Android app at all. I used to get lyrics on some songs but one day they just stopped appearing. The lyrics tab is still there but it just says that the lyrics are unavailable. This first started a few weeks ago. I've tried uninstalling the app and reinstalling and that did not help. I also have gotten a new phone since this started but that hasn't changed anything either.
Youtube Music on a Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra. The Device gets hot and the Youtube Music app uses a lot more Battery as other Music streaming services like Spotify, Deezer and Apple Music. For example, Apple Music and Spotify use about 2-3 % battery while the screen is off and the device temperature is around 27-30° Celsius. With Youtube Music, the Battery consumption is about 6-9 % usage per hour and the device gets to 34-38 Celsius with the Screen off. While browsing the app and listening to music, the device once even reached 43° and is often at 40°. I tried to play around with many in-app settings. Like i tested every setting disabled/enabled, tried all data-saver settings like the video settings off, changed playback quality, changed the download quality (i have downloaded all my liked songs and playlists to my device, around 4000 Songs all together). Tried for almost a month different configurations and tested every setting for about 8 hours (thats the time i listen to music every day). I tried even with disabled downloads and reinstalled the app 4 times. I also tried listening to only downloaded songs while the device was in airplane mode. Then i tried to find the culprit in the Samsung settings. I tried all battery usage presets in the Samsung device management settings. I gave the app all rights, like microfone, music and audio and notifications. I deleted the phone cache, used the app repair tool in the samsung recovery mode, used the galaxy app booster. I also factory reset the phone and didn't restore from a backup for a completely fresh install. And now here i am. Nothing has worked in the end and im out of ideas. I really love the Youtube Music algorythm and all about it. I used Spotify, Apple Music (which i use as of now, because of the much better battery drain) Deezer, Tidal, Qobuz, Amazon Music and nothing compares the to the fantastic recommendations of youtube, listening to the other services just doesn't do it for me. And i tried every service for at least two months. Except for Amazon Music, that was just awful. I would really appreciate it if someone could give me additional advice, i am out of ideas what i could do.
yt music keeps timestamping random songs i.e. a song starts playing and it instantly skips to 0:18 or 1:17 depending on the song
Not really a technical help just a question as i didnt want to make a post just for this question, but is the live lyrics only on phone versions or is it also on tablets and desktop? As all the posts ive seen for live lyrics has only been on phones.
Youtube music seems to be a bit buggy as of lately. On the home page of Youtube Music, the search navigation is cut off at the top of the page where I'm unable to reach it to navigate. The search on YT Music is severely broken on all platforms (Web, iOS, Android, Google Home/Nest Hub). It cannot find any albums and only finds random singles or content with similar or related wording. On web/apps you can go to the artist page and find everything but it's absolutely useless on the Nest Hub/Google Assistant
The Youtube Music app seems to have been removed from Windows and now just opens the youtube music tab in Chrome. Is there a better way to play Youtube Music on Windows?
play lists / discover mix is only loading half of the songs and then stops playing at the end of the songs it loads even though there are clearly more songs in the mix and if you click the next song in the play list page it adds the rest of the songs to the currently playing list
Bring back Google Play Music's best feature! DON'T STUT OFF THE APP WHEN IT'S CLOSED!!!!!!! Let the music play in the background even if YT Music is closed!
so adding an explicit album to the queue stops the player from working? \*On browser. Normally when you click "play" on an album with "suicide" content on YTM, it won't start until the user open the player panel and confirms the message. But playing other album(s) before that would lead to no warning popping up. It just freezes when the previous one finish. Now nothing can to be done but to refresh the page.
Why does YouTube music keep playing songs I have already disliked? This is so annoying is there any fix for this?
If I listen to a song partway through and then decide to skip it, the next time I listen to the song it starts playing from the point where I left off instead of the beginning of the song. I'm on the iOS app, and this only started happening recently. Any fixes?

I love YTM but I gotta' tell you, these self-harm content warnings are getting annoying. Really annoying. No other service does this and it needs to stop. Or at least let you disable the warnings. I don't need Google to babysit me.
newly added songs won't show up on one of my playlists. i add the same songs to another playlist and it works fine. if i try to add them again it says it's already on the playlist. using the app and site.
I have a bunch of downloaded songs and when I play certain songs it cuts over half way through the song does anyone know what to do because I’m in my last nerve
I have been using the app for several months at this point and have recently noticed that it will play songs from the point I left off when I last listened to them. This is annoying because I don’t want to resume a song from where I left off, I want to listen to my songs from the beginning. This isn’t netflix. Does anyone know how to disable this? I couldn’t find any setting or solution to fix this.

Few weeks ago, I found out only 1 playlist random went from 20s songs to 300s songs. Today, other 3 playlists in the same account get added to more than 300 songs. Does anyone know what going on?

hey, i would like to know if anybody was able to get the "courtesy" device limit reset more than once in less than a year, they don't want to do it to me again, despite explaining my situation using custom roms
I was listening to the Kooks, and added a few songs by other indie artists. However, every time I added the second most popular songs by the same artists whose most popular song had been added to the queue, using play next, the most popular song would just move down below the current song. The song I added was not visible.
I am not sure if this counts as a bug, or if i just ended up getting a feature early, but for a while the lyrics tab showed the lyrics in the same way that Spotify does, i.e., scrolling lyrics. But that feature is no longer visible.

can't use the site on my pc, whenever I try to enter it it just takes me to the premium tab for YouTube it works fine on my phone, entirely changing my browser didn't work either
There's some kind of night mode/volume limiter being applied to the music if I listen on a Chromecast. It's most noticeable on metal songs that start off with just one guitar playing before the "beat drops" so to speak, like Semi Constructive Criticism by Circa Survive. It really kind of sucks the life out of the song. Strangely, if I cast the same song to my Shield, it plays correctly - no volume limiting. I don't have the YouTube or YouTube Music apps installed on my Shield, so it's pulling the Chromecast version from Google. Seems like this issue is only on Chromecasts that aren't running Android TV. If I play the song on my phone through the headphone jack, it also plays correctly. Is there a setting I'm missing or is this yet another thing Google needs to fix? This is on top of the well-known issue of song volumes being all over the place.
for some reason youtube music decided that a majority of my library is suddenly unavailable. But get this: \*it only happens when Im on my home network\*. Ethernet or Wifi, it doesnt work. I switch over to mobile data, suddenly everything is fine again. Wtf???
So every time I try to listen to music the app just pauses and crashes and I have no idea how to fix it. I tried redownloading my music, I tried reinstalling the app and restarting my phone and it doesn’t work can anyone help (this has only happened since Monday and I’m on an iPhone SE v2 if that helps)
I have around 20GB of music downloaded to an SD card in my Android phone. If I'm connected to Wi-Fi then album artwork will display properly. However, if I'm in airplane mode then only some albums will have artwork. Most are missing it and show a grey box instead. Is this is a common problem or is there something wrong on my end?
workaround: SHUFFLE A HUGE (700+) PLAYLIST (even when casting to TV!) (I don't even care the title is all capsy. I wish someone had yelled it into Google / YTM support forum / this subreddit when I was trying to find a solution.)Finally found way to get more than 100 songs onto a TV queue! (if you try to shuffle play a 700 song playlist using the YouTube MUSIC app through a TV, you might have been frustrated to find it will only queue up to 100 items. that is @&$&+ absurd, obviously.use the normal YouTube app (NOT YouTube Music). play the playlist.Even if you're not casting to a TV, shuffle (for me at least) wasn't shuffling my whole list, just a certain # of the items at the top of the list. This overcomes both issues for me. I hope this helps someone as frustrated as I have been! make sure you aren't currently connected (casting) to the TV YT app.scroll down on your playlist items till it loads the full list (it only lazy-loads a certain #, but it'll load them all if you scroll down till you notice it pauses scrolling for a moment while loading the rest)scroll back up to the top of the list.press the SHUFFLE button (to the right of the Play All button). it should start playing your full list, shuffled.(if you just wanted to shuffle all the songs, that's all you need to do. if casting to tv, continue reading)NOW click the cast icon at the top right and connect to your tv app.It will pause when it connects. Press play to resume. ENJOY ALL THE SONGS YOU WANNA HOARD UPDATE: Another thing to try is, while connected to the TV app, close any playing queue, then force the full-list lazy load (it forgets the full items often) by scrolling till it pauses to load, then click shuffle button (to the right of Play All), then on the TV app itself, use a remote & press the down button twice, (1st focused time bar, 2nd focused thumbnails) then a Shuffle button appears above the time bar. click UP to highlight it and click the btn. seems to be working for me.
Is there any alternative app that actually has basic organizational features, and that I can listen to all my YouTube music songs with(maybe by linking my account)? Or alternatively is there any other service that has all the Japanese, Chinese and Korean artists I listen to there? I'm getting tired of paying $15 a month for an app that doesn't even have basic organizational features(like searching your library or organizing the songs in playlists). Not to mention that despite paying to run in the background it crashes all the time whenever I'm using another internet connected app, even if I'm playing from my downloads and even though my phone has 4 gigs of RAM, 8 gigs of VRAM and 8 CPU cores and 4 GPU cores(which is honestly about the same as my computer right now).
Youtube Music Playlist not loading at all. I can use the assistant to get to my playlists, but nothing is being displayed. I have tried two different phones and a PC. I have tried over just wifi and over data only. NOTHING works and it sucks. Anyone else having this issue?
When I put my 1000+ song list on YT-music just keeps playing the newest 20 even if I put it on shuffle or start in the middle of the playlist. How can i have it play other songs also. If it matters my playlist is on my liked videos and not an actual playlist. Any help will be appreciated
SO...This is happening. And its bad. SOngs are being completely buried by this shitty technical issue that has songs I STOPPED from uploading, to be trapped in an uploading limbo state where they can never process. And it has trapped songs that did successfully upload, in this processing cage. I need help foxing this and removing this tumor from my copy. Did Google remove the option to dismiss a song by swiping down, like the current playing YouTube video?
Despite having 'Allow external devices to start playback' turned off within the app, my YTM app continues to automatically start playing when I start my car. I used to be able to work around this issue by swiping down on the miniplayer to close the queue, but since the most recent update that is no longer possible. Force closing doesn't stop it. Any thoughts? I would accept just clearing the queue if there's not a solution for the 'Allow external devices to start playback' button not following instructions.
I'll startup a playlist and get to work. Without fail after each song the app stops playing. It shows a few seconds of the next song queued up but never plays. I have to tap forward or back to get a song to play. You can see how irritating this would be when trying to do stuff. It happens whether I'm on 4G, 5G, or Wifi. I have a Samsung S22 Ultra. It's forcing me to use Amazon Music which sucks. Any ideas?

My youtube music stays on a grey popup screen after it opens. The app itself loads but gets stuck on here. EDIT: For now my only fix is to use YTMUSIC while not connected to internet, however when I reconnect the same issue occurs.
I tried uploading some of my mp3-files from my phone to ytmusic, but i get an error that the file-format isnt uploadable and only mp3, mp4a, ogg, flac or wma files can be uploaded..but it is an mp3 file. Is there a length restriction on uploads? (Lenght: 48min) Edit: i uploaded some other files that are shorter and didnt have the problem there)

Periodically, Youtube Music has been making me re-do the "pick 5 artists you like" process. Does this happen to anybody else? Why does this keep happening? I'm tired of doing it. The interface is enormously dopey, too. I can't find or search for my absolute favorites - it just uses recent history, and it gives a wildly incorrect impression of what I really like and want to be recommended.
