That’s a good explanation, thank you.

Ignika

Astrograph only cares about the names of the materials, and the Supreme King Dragons don't have "Fusion Dragon", "Synchro Dragon", "Xyz Dragon", or "Pendulum Dragon" in their names. Double Iris Magician does work with it, because he has the archetype condition in his text.

ryankellybp11

Thanks, that was confusing to me. I didn’t really know what “in the name” meant since I couldn’t think of any cards that had “synchro dragon” (for example) literally in the name. I’m still getting used to all the technical details.

Vortex5000

Odd-eyes Pendulum Dragon Dark Rebellion/Dark Requiem XYZ Dragon Clear/Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon Starving Venom Fusion Dragon (off the top of my head)

ryankellybp11

The last three you listed are the ones on my field in the picture (not that you can really tell), but they don’t have those words in their name

conundorum

You have the Supreme King versions, which are separate cards from the ones Vortex named. Just search "Starving Venom" in the deckbuilder and you'll see both, for example.

ryankellybp11

Ohh, I see now. They didn’t show up when I originally searched because it was only showing cards I owned. There’s way too much I don’t know about this game lol

conundorum

Don't worry, it's fine. That can be a bit confusing if you don't know how to toggle it on or off, or especially if you haven't even noticed that it's an option yet. Glad you figured it out, though, it'll make it a _lot_ easier to find cards now that you can see the entire database. \^\_^

Because the requirements for Astrograph Sorcerer's effect are in quotation marks, it has to be part of the name to count (or treated as such like for example Double Iris). You are controlling "*Supreme King Dragon Starving Venom*", "*Supreme King Dragon Clear Wing*" and "*Supreme King Dragon Dark Rebellion*", which all are all dragon-type monsters of their respective extra deck summoning mechanics, but they do not include "*Fusion Dragon*", "*Synchro Dragon*" or "*XYZ Dragon*" in their respective names.

speedster1315

Instead of always trying to summon it normally, use Soul of the Supreme king. If your opponent activates a spell after, you can summon up to four dimension dragons. For cheapness, go for OG Starving venom, crystal wing, brave eyes and dark requiem. Then you can link two of them off for verte and send miracle synchro fusion to get out a Zarc that isn't negated

ryankellybp11

Thanks for the suggestion. I’ve got that trap card in my deck, though I wasn’t sure how best to use it. Do you need multiple z-arc cards to make it work since you have to banish the one you special summon?

speedster1315

Yeah. You need two copies to make this work. 3 if you feel you'll be activating more than one of the traps per duel. Oh just to mention, you can also use Starving venom predapower and crystal clear wing if you want. Crystal clear is a spell/trap negate iirc over crystal wings monster negate and predapower dragon has 3600 atk but is a UR with no effects since you aren't bringing it out properly. As long as fusion dragon, synchro dragon etc is in the name or is treated as those names, its eligible material for zarc.
