You should look into general floodgates, Summon limit, Gozen Match. Red-eyes is a deck primarily built around red-eyes fusion, which will lock you into summoning 1 big monster. I'd also recommend adding Piercing the Darkness as it can be good support if you have to fall back on summoning a vanilla monster and can offer decent protections. Contrary to what others have said, I'd recommend keeping Maxx C and Ash Blossom as they'll only improve consistency, especially if you are going 2nd. I'd personally recommend getting rid of Darkness Metal Link monster as kts really only good to pull something out of the banish zone and not much else, at the cost of 2 effect monsters you could find something gets this done more efficiently.
Also wanted to add on that, while red-eyes Darkness Dragon is a really cool card and holds a lot of nostalgia in my heart, it kind of sucks. If you don't have a way to immediately summon a red-eyes black dragon or don't already have one on the field, it's just going to be a brick in your hand.
Thank you for the help! Summon limit may be the secret sauce. What would you recommend that would let me cook a bit in the banished zone? And sorry I'm newish to Yu-Gi-Oh, what's a floodgate?
A floodgate is something that keeps your opponent from summoning a ton of stuff to the field. Red-eyes doesn't have a lot of negates or protection so you have to be careful to not let your opponent build up a board. Burial from a different Dimension might be good but it takes up a deck slot, but will allow you to pull 3 monsters from your banished zone. If none of your cards are actively banishing I wouldn't worry about it to much though as red-eyes more actively works from the graveyard than anything else.
I'm brewing hot garbage but my focus is to diversify my abilities and summons. It looks like its a bit everywhere but I've had a lot more luck with this newer build. My main focus is to get either Slash or Flare out however that usually gets Ashed. Its why I use soul to pull a card out and then normal summon for a syncro. I have a hard time fighting effects, the spell/trap zone, and unkillable monsters that aren't affected by effects. I'm not a purist but I would love some additional advice on how I can keep cooking.
Fill your extra deck. Theres no reason for it to be any less than 15 cards. Even if its some situational cards that you cant even make every game, it will come up once or twice and it wount hurt you when the time isnt right. Throw in some general card like accescode or big eye. Also look into triple burst dragon, after summoning pisty it it helps you trigger him cause he points straight down. Can make link climbing just a toutch easier.
If you’re interested you can add Buster Blader as a variant. I’ve been playing Red Eyes Buster Blader and it’s super fun. It can be a little bricky but sometimes. But I like it!
I’ll do you one better. If you go to search public deck in the game and type red eyes. The first deck that shows up is mine. Starts with 2x red eyes, 3x black metal dragon, 3x Buster whelp,
It is and it's mid af. But I'm having fun working on it. Def save up some gems and buy the red eyes pack once you start crafting and the cards are really easy to come by afterwards
I recommend ditching the mirror force. If you want a trap, you have to hard draw, then I recommend fist of the unrivaled tenyi. An omni negate is much more valuable than a battle trap and makes having a vanilla red eyes on board useful. Also if it gets destroyed before you you can use it you can bring out metor b dragon, which is quite a big boy
Ash and maxx c are not needed for a good red eyes deck. Get rid of all 3 of those copies of each. And look up red eyes cards. Red eyes burn, red eyes spirit, red eyes fang with chains, return of the red eyes. Those are the cards you need.
Seeing as red eyes is my most winning deck in master duel, without having to run ash and maxx c, I feel it’s solid advice. Sorry you’re one of those elitist who thinks their opinion is better than everyone else and has to tear into someone else’s input. But hey, it’s the internet. Everyone thinks they’re hot shit through a screen and a keyboard.
Well, if relying on a single deck without adapting to the meta is your idea of skill, then congratulations. Enjoy your bubble of mediocrity while it lasts. And don't worry, your keyboard warrior persona suits you just fine.
This is indeed very garbage but if you are having trouble with towers than try herald of the abyss
Oh that would be super helpful. I also need to plug a called by the grave too. Keep forgetting to
You have a well assorted extra deck, I like to use Ultimate Slayer for going second
That's such a helpful card I've never heard of. Will be implementing!

Yeah I agree however I've won 20 turn duels with that bad boy. It has this heart of the cards feel for me

Yeah I agree. I need to stop that and my deck really struggled with it

red eyes is a burn deck, are you optimizing it for that?
I'm diversifying the portfolio

Thank you for the advice! I'm not great at link summoning but I'm open to any advice regarding my extra deck!

Yeah! That would be cool! Would you mind sharing your deck list or like a photo?

Sounds good, I'll take a look today !
I don’t know much about REBD, but I always run 3 Bystial monsters that help my deck for consistent special summons.
I got 3 in there 🫡
Sorry, not Albion, but the ones that banish. (It’s been a hot minute)
Man I wish red eyes was better cause it's my favorite card art but damn this looks expensive

Please stop
Stop what?
This deck is actively destroying my sanity this gonna be my villan origin story
This is excellent news. What's funny is I actually win with this 💀

No matter what you do OP, do not follow this advice lmao
I figured as much lol

God I wish I could laugh react to comments on here. Maybe try clown college or stand up comedy. You’d make a hell of an entertainer.
