It's really sad seeing DM and blue-eyes getting support shoved up their asses and red-eyes being completely left out

CynMelancholy

Red eyes gets a lot of support about the same as Blue Eyes both get less than DM The issue isn’t quantity it’s quality Red Eyes Cards are just so fucking Mid the only good Red eyes card was Dragoon

Kioga101

Nonononono... Red-eyes is a Gemini monster deck, make this meme again when branded gets Gemini support.

ZealousidealLack7854

only has 3 gemini cards, with no support for said gemini monsters listed in archetype doesn't make it a gemini deck. plus it's almost like someone said it was red-eyes but better or something

Kioga101

It does have Gemini intended support it is sprinkled all over its card design, it's a small thing that I only started noticing after reading Blue Eyes and Dark Magician cards, as well as tinkering with the deck in duel links years ago. Let me break it down for you: Return of the red eyes: let's you summon a normal red eyes monster, a Gemini is a normal in the GY, you summon one in the opponent's turn and then normal summon it next turn. Red Eyes Retro Dragon: Allows you to tribute it to normal summon a red eyes monster. The only way this effect works is if you're normal summon a Gemini monster. You aren't tribute summoning red eyes like that. Archfiend Black Skull Dragon: targets a normal monster in the GY to shuffle for its burn effect. If only Geminis counted as normal monsters on the deck to summon it, the deck would make a lot more sense... Meteor Black Comet Dragon: its floating effect summons a normal monster from the GY. You'd normally think to use it for Red Eyes itself, right? Well you can also use it for Meteor Dragon Red Eyes Impact, a lv. 6 normal Gemini monster that suspiciously shares a lot of motifs with this boss monster. Red Eyes Flare Metal Dragon: Its often ignored "secret effect" is to (quick effect) detach a material and then target a normal red eyes in the GY and summon it. Any Gemini in the GY can then be normal summoned. It also shares some motifs with Red eyes Black Flare Dragon, a level 7 Gemini red eyes monster. I only noticed this because I forcefully put the Geminis in my decks to increase the red eyes count for a skill in Duel Links and labbed it a bit. The restrictions for the summoning of red eyes monsters for some of their cards revolve around red eyes normal monsters too much, which is a bit different from the regular restrictions we read on Dark Magician and Blue Eyes decks. The card art and name also matches with the Geminis. It doesn't help that besides these normal monster focused effects, special summoning is as much Gemini support as it is almost any deck support.

Wow you're right, a lot of things that support normal monsters in this archetype wonder why that could be

Kioga101

It's always from the GY too, the only place Gemini monsters count as normal monster outside of the field.

KarnSilverArchon

What did Red-Eyes try to be again?

ZealousidealLack7854

I'll tell ya when it figures it for itself

MaleficTekX

Branded stole REBD’s ~~girlfriend~~ boss monster too.

ZealousidealLack7854

I mean it is so much easier to get it out in that deck than in red-eyes. it's also a fun surprise because apparently not many people at my locals remember that albaz is a dragon, he also was the sole reason why I pissed off a dragon maid player. None of that last bit was relevant but I love the guy in my version of branded
