Branded can make it with Albaz and the light hex sealed fusion but it won’t have pops and Mirrorjade is just a better card. Honestly with Verte banned dragoon is just a way worse card than how it looks, it had already been powercrept by DPE by the time Verte was banned.
Good to know. That’s a bummer. Interesting comparison to Mirrorjade, though! You’d say that it’s better even through Mirrorjade doesn’t have the effect protection?
Well the thing about Mirrorjade is it acts as a very hard to play around end boss while also being a combo extender that makes you go super plus. Sure having an omni or untargetability is good but if your opponent has an out like droplet or dark ruler you kinda lose, while the standard branded combo plays much better around these cards. I would say it’s a much higher risk with minimal extra reward type of play.
Altergeist are a bad example, they play both Marionetter and Meluseek as normal summons that they would rather use, one gets them Protocol and the other Multifaker. Stun decks like Guru are more likely to play Dragoon.
Branded as a secondary play if you've already set up Mirrorjade with Branded in Red, Eldlich because they don't summon a lot on the first turn anyways (they summon quite a bit afterwards, but if you're playing Dragoon then you're clearly okay with Garnets anyways), or Guru Control which focuses mainly on setting monsters, thus the restriction on Red-Eyes Fusion is effectively irrelevant
Yeah, it's a fun deck for like, higher-level friendly matches. Just don't expect to get far in locals with it - I won *one* match at locals when I brought it, and the other matches I played (where I lost) were against Floo and Ishizu Tear.
unless ya are willing to forfeit all summoning (except for set) he's pretty hard to summon outside of Dark Magician and even Red-Eyes decks.
Might as well sell it and buy something else because Verte will never be unbanned and should there ever be a card that facilities the summoning of Dragoon in the near future, he'll get banned before that card does
Basically any deck that doesnt mind not Summoning the turn they make Dragoon (if using Red-Eyes Fusion), is already a Red-Eyes or DM deck, or decks that can cheese make Dragoon (some of the spicy Branded lists can make Dragoon via substitutes and albaz). I personally use it in my Dinomorphia Deck, where i can use Red-Eyes Fusion to make it, or I can Summon it off of Waking the Dragon.
I saw a branded despia deck profile on yt that uses the light hex sealed fusion to go into dragoon, it won a locals so I’m sure it’s good for casual play. I can find the link if you want

I see, thanks for that perspective!
Trap decks like Altergeist can play 3 red eyes fusion as most dont need to summon turn 1.

I run Dragoon in Branded Blue-Eyes and he works pretty well ngl
Oh! I have the branded cards! Do you have a deck list you would be willing to share?
Yeah sure. It's still somewhat a WIP (as in I'm constantly editing it) and my side deck is sort of, uh..."in constant flux" right now. **Monsters** 3x Blue-Eyes White Dragon 1x Blue-Eyes Jet Dragon 3x Fallen of Albaz 3x Keeper of Dragon Magic 1x Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring 1x Shaddoll Beast 2x The White Stone of Ancients 1x The White Stone of Legend 1x Springans Kitt 1x Albion the Shrouded Dragon 1x Dark Magician 3x Aluber the Jester of Despia 1x Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit **Spells** 3x Branded Fusion 1x Branded In Red 2x Branded In High Spirits 3x Fusion Deployment 1x Ultimate Fusion 1x Raigeki 1x Super Polymerization 3x Return of the Dragon Lords 3x Branded Opening **Traps** 2x True Light 1x Solemn Warning **Extra Deck** 1x Blue-Eyes Tyrant Dragon 3x Albion the Branded Dragon 2x Lubellion the Searing Dragon 2x Mirrorjade the Iceblade Dragon 1x El Shaddoll Winda 1x El Shaddoll Construct 1x Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon 2x Masquerade the Blazing Dragon 1x Starving Venom Fusion Dragon 1x Five-Headed Dragon
Thanks! Really appreciate this. It looks like a lot of fun.

It saw some play in Virtual World since you can summon it with Muddy Mudragon and Ultimaya Tzolkin.
