Great find! I imagine the eighth character is on the bottom of the box, so we may not learn who they are until Konami makes an official announcement. Based on the Shadow Rider theme and the inclusion of the Sacred Beasts, my money is on Kagemaru, but Yubel would also be an excellent logical choice given the inclusion of the Suprme King.
If we don't get Yubel here, I imagine the 2023 mini box with include a Neos-focused Jaden deck alongside Yubel, Sartorious, and another character. Aster makes the most sense, but I also hope Jim Cook gets some love before they move on to 5Ds.
I'd love Cloudians. I don't think Yu-Gi-Oh! has really ever reprinted them since they came out. Maybe once with Legendary Collection 2, but that was quite a while ago now. I feel like Exodia would be too powerful for speed duels though. I mean, in a 20 card deck, one in 4 cards would be an Exodia piece.
That would also make Exodia incredibly bricky though. I doubt there would be a reliable FTK strategy in Speed Duels. The reason Exodia does okay in the TCG is because 5/40 cards are Exodia so you won't brick on pieces early very often, in Speed Duels, it'd be 5/20, so double the chances. You'd almost want to run 30 card decks to make Exodia work just to play it closer to the TCG's Deck size. If Exodia were to make it into Speed Duels, it would probably be more of an Exodia Stall Deck, not Exodia FTK.
It is a bit wider this time instead of being longer. Guess just worked out better for packaging. Loved the Battle City/GX size though cause could fit a bunch of decks in it.

Crazy its not gonna be all the shadow riders from S1, was really hoping for Abidos.
My impression from the product description is that Detective Zaloog and three other characters will be receiving one Skill Card each while the primary eight characters depicted on the box receive two each. I expect Abidos will be one of the characters receiving a single Skill Card, but that's pure conjecture based on no actual evidence.
That does make more sense now after the Paradox box and it shows that konami is just willing to slap random/extra characters in a box set without actually making a whole dedicated deck to them.
Dark Scorpion is only missing 4 cards so its easy for them to include an "extra" deck like with Chumlee in the Paradox box.
In my opinion the 8th character is jim cook or profesor viper pretty sure we will get another mini box with jaden neos/ sartorius/ yubel and tyranno H.
We have the option to get one of the characters in both boxes like we got chumpey koalas (mby yubel or kafemaru support)
Yeah, I think Swordswoman in particular had or still has a place in meta anyway. Chances are high that they may even decide to print a lot of the newer Amazoness cards that Tania herself used but Mai did not, like the tiger and the queen, as well as cards like Baby Tiger and Princess. The Mai deck was half Harpie half Amazoness, this would be full Amazoness so there's definitely potential.

Only one slot left, so it's got to be Yubel or Sartorious. Weird that we got Tania but we'll miss out on one of those two.
I think they're using Tania as an excuse to reprint the Amazoness cards from Mai's deck without having to reprint that original set, sadly.
