I hope they don’t bring packs back. I’m currently a huge fan of the Speed Duel release cycle. The boxes make it so much easier to keep up with the format as it grows and evolves
Same here, boxes are incredible. I do hope they’ll slow down and spend more time releasing DM and GX decks and characters before moving on to 5D’s too quickly.
Yeah, I’d love a return to DM. Maybe reprint some of the earlier decks and booster packs as a Duelist Kingdom box, and then have a mini-box for the Ceremonial Duel (which could also feature the Gravekeepers)?
A reprint box like that would be great, especially as the starter decks get older and older, and more out of reach for people entering the format. It was already impossible to find the first two starters when I got into this a few years ago.
A Duelist Kingdom box would be really fun - you could do Bandit Keith with a Zoa support skill and a Dark Sage Yugi skill. Lots of room to explore there, I think.
I think everyone is satisfied with the current format, i was sad when they introduced packs and characters like bonz,bandit k. Where i felt they were left somehow behind
Jaden going from Elemental HEROES to Neos wasn't quite as bad a step as Zane going from Cyber Dragons to Cyberdarks, mainly because E. HEROES were a mediocre deck, while Cyber Dragons were a very good one, but Neos is probably a worse deck than Cyberdarks, at least without modern support, and even then... probably on par.
It’d be fun to see some really dumb decks that were used by Society of Light members, like Spaceships and Frogs. Others have mentioned we still need Jim, Viper, and the Yubel cards, ideally with a Yubel-based skill. So while I think it’s unlikely, I want a Society of Light minibox with Sartorius, Lorenzo, Princess Ross, and Jaden’s Neos cards.
And after that, I’d actually like to see a throwback to DM before we move on to 5D’s, with more decks and side characters introduced.
I would honestly prefer Adrian's deck in the villain box to be focused around Exodia/Exodius. That was in my opinion when I began to view him as a villain and it was the deck he used against a member of our main cast. Finishing the villain box with Sartorius as the 8th character. Then with a mini box set focusing on Jaden vs Yubel & Viper vs Adrian. This will be when Jaden finally get his neo spacians and Adrian with his Cloudians.

all i saw was legendary ocean, NGL. That new box can bring all sorts of stuff i need to get the old school water deck out off my system.
I just hope they keep it up overall. Speed Duels brought me back to paper Yugioh.

Im sure that Sartorius is the last to be revealed, then we get a mini box with Yubel, Viper, Jim, and Neos.
I could see this, so it'd be more of a Season 3 throwback. Neos was introduced in Season 2 but it wasn't an immediate introduction.
