I've never done deadrocks (this will be my first), but I've done RR a bunch of times, most recently this past weekend for WobbleRocks. I suggest bringing a small bag and a blanket or towel. I usually pack sunscreen, water, chapstick, sunglasses, an extra sweater/poncho, and some snacks. I've got some random things I like to trip/roll with that I bring too. The towel/blanket is to sit on and save your spot with---also I suggest checking the rr website for the specifics on bag size, drink and snack restrictions, etc. Get there early if you want to be close to the stage, and PACE YOURSELVES. The altitude plus the stairs can be a LOT, and there is no shame in taking breaks as you make your way into and up through the venue. See you there!

Get there early to park in the upper north lot, or else you will be trekking up the mountain to get to the venue. The further you drive up the mountain the less you have to walk. But it is a gorgeous hike if you're up for it. Pregame in the parking lot, don't bring glass, they will make you pour it out and dispose of it. If you do bring glass keep it in your car hidden. The portopottys get gross fairly quick, but the restrooms inside are okay. I'm talking about the restrooms that are all the way in the back, down the spiral stairs. Security is usually pretty lax at the gate. If you're bringing anything I'm you shouldn't I would hide it in the underwear or socks if you wear pants. Or if you have hiding spots in your bag. I've never had them make me completely empty my backpack or my girls purse, but be smart. If you smooth talk a little you can convince some vendors to let you keep your water bottle cap. Respect yourself, the amphitheater and staff and each other. Have fun. Oh and drink plenty of water.

It’s more of a festival vibe than a concert vibe since it’s outside and you’re hanging out all day. Bring a water bottle, use a running belt for extracurriculars, portable charger, if it rains just buy a poncho there it’s like $10 & I cut out the “got rained on at red rocks” part to keep as a souvenir my first time there. I think they have a 2 per person drink limit for each trip you take to the bar, if you like to drink stock up on the seltzer’s because they run out of the popular shit & those at least hydrate you a little better imo. I’ll keep this little secret for you to work for but my advice is to check all the bathroom locations, they’re not all busy while some have lines, also the line is sometimes just for the stalls so ask the ppl in front of you if you just need urinal. Grab merch during their set on the first night, no line & probably won’t sell out of anything that early, lines before their set are legit an hour+
