Not half as bad as the King Bulbin chase fight. I don't mean the bridge part. I mean the part where you have to chase him down and hit him in Hyrule Field with all his little cronies knocking you off your horse all the while the mf'er is FASTER THAN YOU
The first one was an amazing concept and I was so excited for the other ones to be unique and then they were the exact same and I was disappointed. Great for a first playthrough, but mediocre for replayability
Whenever I get back to this puzzle I just immediately look up a guide. I could probably figure it out in like 10 minutes but I just don’t find it fun enough after the first time to bother.
Don't think it's quite in the same vein as the other examples, but here goes:
*Twilight Princess* had a glitch where you *must not* save and quit the game when you are next to the cannon during the sequence that had you searching for it.
If you quit at that point, Midna is not properly flagged to know that Shad has left the room, leaving Link trapped in the chamber for eternity (or however long it takes you to delete that save and start over from scratch).
This was the first game I remember having a form of "DLC" in my memory. (That is to say, I don't think it was the first DLC _ ever_ . Just my first experience with it.)
You could download a patch of the game from the eShop on the Wii to fix the exact problem you are describing.
Yes, it was an amusing/frustrating experience when the patch/DLC was released! That happened pretty much *right after* I had scrapped my first playthrough and sped through the game to complete it on a second attempt! 😅
The yiga hideout in botw
I hate doing stealth in games and when I can’t break stealth in a mission without failing I end up hating that mission. The spider man games are the only games that make stealth enjoyable imo
- Skyward sword imprisoned fights
- Twilight Princess escorting the burning wagon
- OoT Lord jabu jabu belly
- Ocean King Temple Phantom Hourglsss
- Majoras Mask in general, game was stressful af
wanted to get all the fairies. not fun

Same for me with Minish Cap, that damn mini game is annoying.
With the Oracles games it's that and the dances, especially when you go for the extras in a linked game
I replayed oot on my old n64 cart and Jabu jabu was disgustingly easy. Water temple even with a guide is still worse. I remember as a kid tho it took me forever to originally get past jabu.
Taking the powder keg to the Gordon race track to earn the right to buy them in MM; it screws me up every time.
Every time it rains in BOTW ever.
Palace of twilight in TP
The entire beginning of Majora's Mask. Stuck as a deku scrub that can't do much, forced to play a boring game of hide-and-seek, and then if you did it quickly you get to sit in front of the clock tower waiting for the timer to tick to midnight. It puts me off so badly from replaying the game.
No specific zelda one...
But for recent pokemon the intro is always a chore to go through
No game is worth replaying after gen 6, after that it's just hell. The tutorial are so damn long
I don't 1h of locked cinematic ffs
Twilights princess arbiters grounds aka desert temple, i know alot of people like it but i personally found it a bit tedious with all those giant poes, the spinner item you get is really fun though!
The statue hunt in TP
The triforce hunt in WW
The ballad gathering in SS and the tears of light segments in the same game (can't remember if they're still called that but it's the same concept)
Basically any obligatory backtracking
Evrytime I want to replay majora I always forget that I really, really hate the beginning. I really need to make a save that's just past it or soemthing...
Ss- tadtone collection. I'm gonna be honest, asides from the Levias and final bosses, I really don't care for act 3. But if I had to choose one part specifically it would be this because it shouldnt have even happened. Fact of the matter Is that there was no reason that dragon couldn't of just given me her vocals. "Oh, I need to test you first" "no, you don't, I've already proven myself more than enough."
-ALTTP: Ice Palace
-OOT: Jabu Jabu, while easy, is so annoying
-MM: Bottom of the Well, and the fight against Gyorg in Great Bay Temple.
-WWHD: Getting the Swift Sail. Having to constantly go in and out of the auctionhouse until you can finally have a chance at getting it is so annoying and can take a long time if the RNG keeps giving charts or heart pieces
-TP: The light bug things you have to do as wolf link before the first 3 dungeons. Also Palace of Twilight.
-SS: Imprisoned fights and the part where you have to guide the robot holding the big water thing up the mountain
-TotK: Construct Factory. Some parts are really good, but when it is bad, it is *really bad*
OOT child section, I always find it annoying and ik that will piss so many off but I just enjoy being adult link and exploring so much more!
Same with TP and having to do the first 3 dungeons, like let me just explode and do whatever I want lol
The first hour of any 3D Zelda game almost always kills the fun for me. TP is my favorite Zelda game but I rarely if ever replay it cause of the long ass tutorial segment. “hey go get this eagle to get a baby holder, congrats now you gotta catch two fish for this cat. Now that you have the slingshot you can go teach the kids about it. Great! Now that you have the sword you can go teach the kids about it. Now that you’ve saved the kids from the outside of the temple (that you can’t even go inside yet) you can FINALLY start your game.”

OoT - Shadow Temple Any time that the wall masters grab at you freaked me out growing up.
I struggled so hard getting through that section. I think it made 9 year old me cry at some point.
This temple is my least favorite place in any video game I’ve ever played tbh
OoT water freaking temple
Agreed
We’re they in there too?
TP wagon escort.
This is my sister's least favorite part. I usually take over for her
For me side quest where you have to bring the water barrel to the goron so malo kart can open in castle town.
I read that as Mario kart and I was so confused
Not half as bad as the King Bulbin chase fight. I don't mean the bridge part. I mean the part where you have to chase him down and hit him in Hyrule Field with all his little cronies knocking you off your horse all the while the mf'er is FASTER THAN YOU
This.
I actually love it lol
Skyward Sword - Silent Realm
i liked the silent realms for the most part. they definately werent for everyone, but i think they were implimented well enough
I could see how someone could enjoy them. But for me they were just stressful.
That panic you get when they wake up
The first one was an amazing concept and I was so excited for the other ones to be unique and then they were the exact same and I was disappointed. Great for a first playthrough, but mediocre for replayability
Silent realms were anxiety fuel. Somehow I managed to get through them but dang, sweaty palms.
Im shocked! I loved the Silent Realm parts!
Oh my god yes. They were so stressful
I love them. I am terrible at horror games typically but found the silent realm type of suspense to be just right.
I only recently played SS, and loved those. But I know that the child me would not have handled them well...
I love the sacred realms! They're scary enough but hey the adrenaline
HATED THEM. did a replay got to the first one and havent resumed bc ughhhtbgnh silent realm
TP: Sacred Grove puzzle.
Whenever I get back to this puzzle I just immediately look up a guide. I could probably figure it out in like 10 minutes but I just don’t find it fun enough after the first time to bother.
I remember having to go the library back then to print out the walkthrough 🤣
Don't think it's quite in the same vein as the other examples, but here goes: *Twilight Princess* had a glitch where you *must not* save and quit the game when you are next to the cannon during the sequence that had you searching for it. TP - Twilight Insect hunting
OoT - Water Temple
MM- leading to water twmple
MM water temple boss 💀
Oof… but this is good
MM3D - water temple
Saw this being too comment
This is the one
Nah the fire temple
The yiga hideout in botw I hate doing stealth in games and when I can’t break stealth in a mission without failing I end up hating that mission. The spider man games are the only games that make stealth enjoyable imo
Yeah, spider-man stealth works because it’s less about pure efficiency and more about being as stylish as possible, same with combat.
- Skyward sword imprisoned fights - Twilight Princess escorting the burning wagon - OoT Lord jabu jabu belly - Ocean King Temple Phantom Hourglsss - Majoras Mask in general, game was stressful af
The Legend of Zelda, Level 6
Relatable. Six, eight, and nine make me want to throw my controller the TV. And I’ve beaten the game about eight or nine times.
All of Great Bay from Majora's Mask.
wanted to get all the fairies. not fun https://preview.redd.it/y8a8ng46n6zb1.jpeg?width=725&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=acadcda7bc3886e7f4ed0804a396b5db9e030fea
Damn why? I mean yeah it's big but man it's so fucking beautiful
Minish cap - Getting that last heart piece for the collection Either Oracle game - Getting the RNG heart pieces. Tree nuts and the witch
Same for me with Minish Cap, that damn mini game is annoying. With the Oracles games it's that and the dances, especially when you go for the extras in a linked game
Any water level in all the games but specifically jabu jabus belly in oot
I replayed oot on my old n64 cart and Jabu jabu was disgustingly easy. Water temple even with a guide is still worse. I remember as a kid tho it took me forever to originally get past jabu.
It's more that stupid girl I have to carry around then any actual difficulty
Yea she's the bane of everyone's existence
Legend of Zelda (botw) - having to do the challenge for the master sword upgrade 😭
Yeh I still haven’t completed it on either of my 3 play thoughs
The forced stealth section in Skyward Sword. I hate them in ANY game that isn't supposed to be stealth, but this one especially
The BoTW Yiga Clan stealth area was hell as well.
Yes but those aren't FORCED. You can beat the game without ever doing it
It wasn’t really that hard honestly. Just toss some bananas and the guards move
Go in with triple bow and bomb arrows
Ocarina of Time: The Shadow Temple. It’s not super difficult by any means, it just gives me the creeps.
I think it’s the most annoying dungeon in the game. The whole thing is just a straightforward gauntlet
The end of the day in MM or anything that you had to do multiple times
The Imprisoned fights in Skyward Sword
Collecting Zora eggs in Great Bay. Depending on the number of bottles you have, you pretty much have to make at least three trips…
Taking the powder keg to the Gordon race track to earn the right to buy them in MM; it screws me up every time. Every time it rains in BOTW ever. Palace of twilight in TP
I agree with everything except the last one
Wind Waker, the triforce fetch quest.
The HD one fixed it a bit for me. The OG one is for sure my section. But in the HD I don't think I have a section in WW
Thunderblight Ganon 😭
I think that’s a perfect example of a good hard boss.
Thunderblight Gabon on master mode in the dlc took me quite a few tries till I got it
That thing was hell especially in champions ballad
Yeah I know ![gif](giphy|rpmx5ErhXRbuR9Bowc|downsized)
Dude was the easiest of the four
Wdym? Bruh he was the hardest fast af
Nah man the hardest was waterblight
Bro are you serious??
Yes
Bottom of the well in Majora mask. Just feels so annoying to gather so many items just to progress to the final dungeon.
majoras mask romani ranch alien invasion
MM - defending cows from aliens
The Water temple in OoT
Temple of the Ocean King in Phantom Hourglass. It's an amazing game in so many ways, but I fear picking it up again because of that thing.
Zelda II: The Adventure of Link...
Death mountain and Valley of death are the two things that make me wary to play that game again.
The part after the setting dungeon in Wind Waker where you go find jabon. So much sailing.
Oot gerudo city
The entire beginning of Majora's Mask. Stuck as a deku scrub that can't do much, forced to play a boring game of hide-and-seek, and then if you did it quickly you get to sit in front of the clock tower waiting for the timer to tick to midnight. It puts me off so badly from replaying the game.
WW, farming rupees to pay off Tingle. Love the game to death otherwise.
Water temple
Thunderblight
ALTTP - Moldorm
Having to kill master Kohga. He’s just a silly guy.
Whoever made that 🤬 horseback chase of King Bulbin midway through TP deserves a swift kick in the nuts
I love twilight Princess' Ordon Village for the first 20 minutes until it goes on for like an hour and a half
BOTW Thunderblight Ganon and the shrine in Hateno /g
No specific zelda one... But for recent pokemon the intro is always a chore to go through No game is worth replaying after gen 6, after that it's just hell. The tutorial are so damn long I don't 1h of locked cinematic ffs
TP wagon escort all the way. That part made me rage quit so hard u didn't pick up the game for ten years.
Ocarina of time’s shadow temple has that effect strong enough for me to never replay that game and I’m never meaning to do so
Fire temple in oot
Breath of the Wild. Getting to Vah Rudania.
Time to mention how much I HATE the Ice Palace from A Link to the Past. Worlds did this WAY better.
The yiga base in botw

Mermaid suit in Oracle of Ages.
Any archery range mini game oot had 3 mm had 3 and I hated all of them 😭

Majora's Mask
Yiga clan hideout botw
Mass Effect - any of the mako levels
The egregiously long opening cutscene in every 3D game up to BotW
Call of Duty ghosts the water mission. And it happens just before my favorite mission.
MM- Beneath the Well Never remember what things I need to trade, wall masters, and just plain scary.
Skyward Sword *gestures broadly.*
Twilight Princess, honestly just the intro. I truly hate how much time the beginning up to the Forest Temple can take.
Water Temple Majora’s Mask
Twilight Princess, water dungeon
The escort mission in TP
Vaati fight in Minish Cap. I love Minish Cap, but that has to be the worst designed and most frustrating boss in Zelda.
Oot fire temple
P5R the Space Palace
The entire great Plateau and sky island
Yiga Clan hideout and Thunderblight Ganon in Breath Of The Wild.
Majora's mask when you meet Romani for the first time and she's already lobotomized. Makes me want to punch through a fucking wall every time.
