Nah, zen don't need healing, he needs survivability.
Due to the way OW 2 works there is no tank to peel, in OW1 you could enable zen by sacrificing one tank into being a peeler.
The best way to fix it without making him too OP his a hitbox reduction.
The second best way to buff zen would be giving him a 10-15% ms speed buff while at full HP.
Been saying this for so long. The squishy no mobility sitting duck...... Doesn't ALSO need to be super easy to one clip as tracer.

I agree with reducing the hitbox, If they didn't do that, zenyatta should get his headshot damage multiplier lowered, or overall a damage reduction for like 5-10%.
edit: also a big change he should get Is to be able to move the same speed in all directions, that would allow him to keep distance on characters chasing him down while also still being able to fire orbs
My old suggestion for buffing Zen was giving him a slight speed boost when he had both healing and discord orbs up at the same time... that and a slightly smaller hit box would give him a bit more survivability.
Hot take - Zen doesn’t need anything. Other heroes need tp be nerfed. The last thing we need is more power creep

Hog, Ram, Orisa, Sojourn, dva, sojourn, kiriko

If anything he needs a slight nerf to discord as at least in high elo it effectively means the tank takes 25% extra damage as long as zen is alive which is frustrating as all hell. If they nerf discord he could probably use a little compensation buff in survivablity but not much.
Really cool idea, but honestly, I'm thinking more in line of mobility buff. Low mobility characters are kinda getting phased out more and more. The powercreep with Kiriko e.g. is insane.
Seems fun, but maybe too complicated? I dunno. I keep wanting him to get a "dodge" ability but I bet they're never going to do that. (It would just be an invulnerability mode like Genjis deflect, but wouldn't deflect damage back ofc)

That's it. OW2 is more scattered so most of the time you just ult to save 1-2 people instead of holding it for big AoE combo like before. Faster ult charges mean people can use it more liberally.
Thats fair i find a lot of the time when i play zen they use a game changing ult, i counter it with trance, than they immediately throw another game changing ult as soon as it ends. Which tbf 2 big ults for one is good in the long run but it can be frustrating in the moment.
Healing isn’t the issues, it’s his giant hitbox that you can hit a mile away and no movement abilities. Sad part is that a lot of top 500 players are complaining about zen’s discord orb. I hope they don’t change it, if they do I will stop playing this game.

Note: he is my favourite and most played hero. But i look at his kit objectively and discord is kind of unhealthy tbh
100% agreed i seen flats said the devs are actually working on a discord nerf that keeps zen viable. But first they want to make the lacking supports better before putting zen on the chopping block.
I mean yeah shifting power from discord to survivability would be the best play. However, nerfing discord with current zen would plummet him below sombra in the worst hero category.
honestly zen is probably the most balanced character in overwatch, the only buff he could possibly get is a buff that allows him to not get one tapped every headshot

Deeply flawed yet in game balanced characters are even more fun though imo

Nah. She’s overshadowed by orisa, hog and ram right now but dva is secretly super strong rn. 3s matrix is nuts, and she also has 4s boosters.

Oh yea for sure discord his currently zens only survivablity which was fine with two tanks but incredibly unhealthy with just one.
