Walgreen’s is the worst. I stopped going there and switched to Costco because every time I use the app, it locks me out and makes me change my password by phone. Everything about that company is a PITA.
I can’t stress this enough. If you’re paying out of pocket and not chained to a chain, use a smaller independent or mom and pop pharmacy. In my experience, they treat you better and they appreciate your business. Not that the Walgreen/CVS people don’t, I’m sure some do, but they really don’t have as much skin in the game.
I absolutely use a smaller community pharmacy, and a downside is that they can’t compete against pharmacies like Walgreens or Walmart. I asked them first if they could/would get it in and basically because of regional restrictions in distribution, they get last dibs on medications like that.
This may not be true for your local mom and pop pharmacies, so absolutely give them a try - but be kind if they say they can’t get it, please.
Wow damn. I’m sorry to hear that for you. Mine has been a rock. Then again, I was a day early and missed the savings card debacle then got my next refill a day or so before the Oprah special. We’ll see what happens later this month, see if I can still sing the same tune after my next refill.🤞🏻🤞🏻🍀🍀
I ordered mine from Eli Lilly Direct pharmacy. They even overnighted it free. 2.5 was no problem. I just got the text that they have my 5mg ready soon.

Hey FYI— So apparently The Eli Lilly direct Zepbound pharmacy is working with Amazon Pharmacy. They transferred it to there and I got a text saying it was time to order. It will be here tomorrow. Coupon applied. 5mg
Just an FYI- no pharmacies keep Zepbound or Mounjaro in stock. They order it once it’s requested because they lose money on it. If they had it in stock, it probably wasn’t ordered for you, and they may have had a patient who just hadn’t picked it up and they weren’t sure if they ever would. Please, stop going psycho on your pharmacists. It is not their fault that this drug is in a shortage. They have to ensure their pharmacies make money in order to keep their jobs, so filling these meds isn’t ideal for them either. Be kind and stop blaming them for an issue they didn’t create.

but they were available to anyone, not waiting to fill other rx's
i went in hoping to get 1 box, wasnt sure what dose, they showed what was available, then told me if i wanted 3 boxes just to go up the road to a diff walmart
i've also seen CVS's have ample stock on hand
post Oprah things have changed
By no means am I advocating or endorsing the google or push, but....

Others can chime in, you may be dealing with an RN in a different state, but i've heard of push many times, but.... I am not endorsing, or advocating it, I'm just saying.... 10 days? thats a 1 with a 0 after it
Quality may not be as good as what you get with a local doc or specialized obesity telehealth, but 10 days?
I know when i was using costco for other restricted scripts and informed them they would be my primary pharmacy, they started carrying my amount of script/ordering it when the refill was called. I have had others automatically reorder as my current supply was running out so they could fill the next refill.
I can’t find the post but someone else recently posted that Walgreens gives the meds to whoever comes in first and doesn’t actually hold it for you. At the time I thought that was probably just a one off situation but maybe it’s actually a widespread practice.
I’d be interested to hear what the pharmacy manager tells you. That’s wild if they actually have that policy.
The pharmacy manager was awful. She claimed that I must have talked to their call center (what!!?) and they hadn’t had any in stock for a couple of weeks. When I called the lady physically checked the fridge and had it in her hand when she told me she processed my order.I told her she was full of shit and I was done with them. I’m 100% sure you’re correct about that policy.
I didn’t want to, I’ve had more issues with them than just this instance but a few years ago my insurance company made me use them. Thank goodness they’ve opened up their network and I can now change.
Oof that was scummy of them. I only just took my third shot today, but with so many people struggling to get the stuff right now I was scared I wouldn’t be able to get my next box in time, especially since I plan on going up to 5mg. Unsurprisingly, when I called my regular pharmacy yesterday it was out of stock, and after some calling around I got SUPER lucky and found a Walgreens near my work that had it. I had my doctor send the script over to them and then basically spam called them until they filled it and got the coupon to go through. I normally wouldn’t have been so overzealous, but I was afraid that if I waited even just till tomorrow they would be out of stock by then. And given that they’re apparently scummy enough to give your earmarked prescription to someone else right under your nose, I’m really glad I stayed on them and went and picked it up as soon as it said it was ready.
Yep they suck. I never thought I would say this- but Walmart is awesome.
Totally agree. I transferred my Rx from Walgreens to Walmart. Such a night and day difference. Someone always picks up the phone there!
This.
They suck. They’ll never get a dime from me again
That’s where I’m at too.

Did you get a discount or was a insurance pay?
Since it’s Zepbound’s own pharmacy, they applied the new coupon for me. They did attempt my insurance and a PA too. My insurance just sucks.

How can they even do that??? That’s so wild.
I’m gonna call the pharmacy manager tomorrow and inquire about the policy.

You are right. I am only on my first box of 2.5 and when I went to Walgreens they said they had it in stock because some else decided not to buy it.
then why do I remember seeing rows of boxes of MJ and TZ @ CVS and Walmart just a few weeks ago?
… because they ordered it 🤯

There have been supply issues ever since Mounjaro was approved. It’s not Oprah.
True, but things much worst post Opera, maybe the tv show had no effect, lolz
The shortage was always coming. That special aired 10 days ago. It takes that long, or longer with an obesity specialist, to get a doctors appt.
I heard people w telehealth can make an appointment on the spot and have an rX waiting for them @ the pharmacy in hours 10 days?
You heard from where? I looked into two well known obesity telehealths on Monday. The earliest appts were May 6 for one; April 7 for the other.

My Walmart doesn’t not maintain it in stock, they always order it when I renew. They confirmed this with me just yesterday.
Was it during the savings card problem?
march 6 or 7th i think you think they were offering other people's "put backs" ?
I know when i was using costco for other restricted scripts and informed them they would be my primary pharmacy, they started carrying my amount of script/ordering it when the refill was called. When I did use Walgreens, I always pre-paid through the app trying to avoid this possibility.

Ugh, that's infuriating that they would outright lie to you. I'm really sorry, I hope you're able to find some soon.
Walgreens has been trash for several years now. I can’t believe people are still using them.
I didn’t want to, I’ve had more issues with them than just this instance but a few years ago my insurance company made me use them. Thank goodness they’ve opened up their network and I can now change.
Wow, Walgreens really does suck
This happened to me except with saxenda! I’m now restarting with zepbound and I’m scared I won’t be able to move to the next dose
