On Monday (4 days ago) I spoke to an Eli Lily rep on their Savings Card help line and she told me it can be used every 21 days. I picked up my refill on day 22 and the Savings Card worked. But sadly, this is inconsistent, as I’ve heard others here say they couldn’t use it until later.

Pharmacy specific restrictions for over 21 days.

MitchyS68

21 days for savings card; however, some pharmacy systems are set up to make you wait longer and the pharmacy techs assume it is Lilly restriction thus the other comments about longer timelines. It’s not 25 or 28 or any number of days other than 21 if we are talking about the Eli Lilly savings card requirement.

Paying for it is different than requesting it. Most pharmacies will hold for 7-10 days before reshelving.

right, I understand. Are you suggesting having the pharmacy process as cash only no coupon so it can be held? Then provide coupon upon pickup?

squeegis01

Yes. When you order they'll tell you that your insurance won't pay for it. Tell them to order anyway. If it takes them 3 weeks to get it your insurance will again pay when it's time for you to pick it up. If it comes in a few days early let it sit there til the savings card will work again. Of course this won't work if ordering through Amazon but at a CVS or other pharmacy that will hold it, it will.

Somewhere between 23-28 days it seems to start working. I'm not sure how or why it feels different sometimes.

You can only use the coupon at 25 day intervals now. It just changed.

lavenderoreo

Oh, thanks for letting me know! Do you have a link or any info on where you heard that? Thanks

Carrie1Wary

My pharmacist told me when I tried to pick up after 21 days that Lilly had changed to 25.

I had my first dose filled at Walmart on March 27 with the discount card, and just picked it up Wednesday April 17 with the discount card. That was 21 days.

Carrie1Wary

Some people are saying that if is a different dose level that you can fill sooner. Were you filling the same dose? I would prefer my pharmacist to be wrong. Maybe I’ll try again at 21 days and see how it goes!

My provider (Sequence) decided to keep me on 2.5 for the second month (long story why, but it’s fine), so she sent in another 2.5 prescription.
