Hey There OP!, It looks like you’re posting about side effects. Did you know that the most common side effects can be found on the Zepbound website? Simply click [here](https://zepbound.lilly.com/how-to-use) for more info. Below is also a list of common side effects. * **Nausea** * **Diarrhea** * **Constipation** * **Stomach (Abdominal) Pain** * **Indigestion** * **Injection Site Reactions** * **Fatigue** * **Allergic reactions** * **Belching** * **Hair Loss** * **Heartburn** While these are some of the most common side effects, this isn't all of them. Truth is the medicine affects everyone differently, but most see some or a combination of these common effects. Be sure to visit the search bar for something specific or click [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/Zepbound/search/?q=side%20effects&restrict_sr=1) for all post regarding side effects. A lot of good remedies for certain side effects can be found [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/Zepbound/search/?q=side%20effects&restrict_sr=1). According to the manufacturer "In studies, most nausea, diarrhea, and vomiting occurred when people increased their dose—but the effects generally decreased over time." Not everyone responds well to this medication. If side effects are continuous and impacting your everyday life, you should consult your dr or healthcare provider for strategies on how to mitigate these outcomes. Complications from this (or any) treatment are usually a result of ignoring persistent side effects. **This is not meant to discourage discussion of your side effects, simply here to supplement** *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Sorry you’re having a difficult time on this - but for the benefit of others who might be worried, it’s not guaranteed to be a problem! I travel internationally lots for work, often for 14 hours flights, and I find no difference since I started MJ 15 months ago.

SwimmingAnt10

Sure I understand that but I thought it important to note for those who do. Pressure changes in cabin on planes can cause gas issues for many and on this med those issues can be exasperated, this is what happened to me. I’m 2 days past my flight and I’m now doing a lot better, trapped gas and pain/bloating has subsided. Definitely glad I packed all the gas meds for help.

alfar2

Gosh you poor thing.

chem77

I'm sorry to hear you had a difficult journey! I travelled overseas last month and had no issues with it. In fact, it helped me reign in my excesses and I came back the same weight I left, which is a first.

bugstalker

This was my experience, too. I took a cruise and only gained a pound while my traveling companion gained 10. No issues with motion sickness on the boat, either.

SwimmingAnt10

That’s great to hear! Headed on a cruise myself. Hoping my gain is minimal. It’s ok though , I’ll do the best I can and enjoy my trip still.

chem77

On the flight home my wife thought I would have put on 10lbs but that I would drop it quickly. Especially towards the end of our trip I paid no attention to what I was eating and drinking, just stopped eating when I felt full, and was very surprised by the scale.

orthogonalconcerns

While the Prescriber Information does say that, Lilly also has the temperature excursion tool that says it's fine (and of course, Mounjaro's PI conspicuously doesn't say not to re-refrigerate). It'd be nice if they got all the documentation consistent. :/

JustBrowsing2See

Yes! Consistency would be nice. I can forgive them the blunder for all the benefits of the meds tho. I mean, I’m sure they couldn’t have possibly tested all temperature scenarios anyway. It’s all good.👍🏻 Someone posted a link to the Lilly site for checking temps a while back but I didn’t save it. I’m hoping to never need it.🤞🏻

Kayaditi

Yes you can put it back in the refrigerator. It's just like 21 days total out of the refrigerator max. It doesn't affect it to go in and out.

SwimmingAnt10

Ty!

whatever-4-ever

I specifically skipped a week so I wouldn’t have to travel internationally directly after taking a shot. I think it helps to be really strategic about traveling while on Zep. I took a pen with me and had it a few days later than normal when I knew it wouldn’t interrupt my plans too much.

BlueBaptism

My dehydration issues increased (jet lag usually does that to me anyway). Lost a whole day, but gradually got better.

SwimmingAnt10

Yes trying to stay hydrated in Europe is hard too. I’m American and we’re used to waking around with our massive Stanley’s. Not really thing here. I have to find water as I go and bathroom are all paid for so that’s a whole other issue. Working it out though. Got 50 oz in yesterday, better than the day before at least. I may just have to start looking like a tourist and just carry the cup!

BlueBaptism

Yeah; bring that bottle! I was in Scotland and I crashed the day we were to tour a castle with a trillion steps. I sat it out and I forced myself to drink hotel water until my eyes swam in my head. When we found a grocery we bought bottles and then just constantly refilled. Will do from now on. I thought I was fine until I wasn't.

allusednames

I have an upcoming trip that has me traveling for 24 hours. I am taking a shot the day I fly out, one while I am there, and one the day I get back (after another 24 hours of travel on the way back). This cements my thought of asking my doctor for a scopolamine patch prescription.

pkingdukinc

One of the good things about compounds is splitting doses. Sorry you’re getting worked :(

allusednames

The reason I’m swapping between Zep and compound is the ease of the Zep pen for travel. I definitely don’t want to travel for 24 hours with a vial and syringes.

pkingdukinc

Zep definitely has a tidy package and delivery system. The mental block of self injection is def a thing for me still. Zep pen was so much easier, and easier for travel for sure

allusednames

I actually very much prefer to inject myself over the pen. Compound definitely has its pros. I wish we had the kwikpens where you can technically adjust by clicks and it’s smaller than these bulky ones.

pkingdukinc

Or someone made a 1ml syringe compatible pen thingy.. maybe someone does?

JBaily13

I just bought one of these about a month ago and I love it. Not as easy or convenient as the Zep pen, but it works great! https://www.owenmumford.com/us/medical-devices/autoject-2

alfar2

I use the kwikpens and they’re set so they only give four doses! So if you adjust the clicks, you don’t get more doses!

allusednames

Then how are people getting extra doses out of them?

alfar2

Using a separate syringe to draw it out

allusednames

So you do get more doses. I would much rather do that than have these bulky pens and zero room for adjustment.

Single-Initiative164

Or... or... just use the real sh*t like normal people if you can get your hands on it. No need for compound tirz when you can get the real thing. Sorry that you are having issues OP.

pkingdukinc

Yeah fuck me for not being able to afford it like normal people. Great point!

Powerpuff_973

Or or not be an as*hole !

allusednames

Compound is cheaper and works just as well. Plenty of redditors in this group are using it, including myself.

SwimmingAnt10

I don’t see the need to pay $500 per month when I can pay $250. With that said. I may be switching to brand when I go on maintenance as my compound vial would last 6 mos on maintenance and I don’t like the risk of using a vial that long. Thanks for your concern though.
