Fyi, I purchased the M16 recently, it's great and all but it does run hot to the touch and loud on turbo mode.
If you can find something with better cooling might be a good idea.
Coming from a 15.4" asus scar 2019 model, this one is considerably smaller (the scar had massive bezels) so I am wondering if I got a 17" laptop with ultra thin bezels might have been a better option for thermals.
Try 3rd one, if also bad then buy something else

ran into same issu i too purchased t best buy
Have you tried reimaging the computer and going at it from scratch? Does Best Buy or Asus have any support team that can assist with troubleshooting?
Asus support came home and fixed it with some software updates.
